- Lebanon has long been known for being the sex tourism capital of the Middle East. For years people from around the region have flocked to its “super night clubs” in the hope of meeting and sleeping with women. But the influx of Syrian refugees has pushed more people into the sex industry, with many Syrians turning to prostitution to survive. When you think your life is bad or your having a bad day. Just imagine the normal citizens that just want to live their lives that are caught up in these wars going on in the middle east . Sad very sad.
There are people in America who have it worse... imagine if you live in some gang area and your just a fucked up junkie then ur probably worse off or at least equal than being in Syria... I know this for a fact because I’ve been to Iraq and the Middle East and people in my family have survived and witness massacres during wars before and I also talk to some of the homeless people in my city pretty often and its actually worse for a lot of them. So just depends you dont really know what someone else is going through... you could be struggling with Mental illness in America and be in turmoil like someone too so you never no what kind of pain someone is going through. You could work in an office in a safe country and have it worse than someone from Syria who lives in a warzone.

Most don't want to commit suicide, because even a nightmare life turns out to be preferable to death. However, some trafficked women do kill themselves. I have a happy story to tell you I live in England in the United Kingdom. And where I live is Syrian refugee children and I had some toys and the little Syrian boy and his sister came up to me. They liked the Tinker Bell doll and asked if they could have it. So I gave it to them their parents wanted to buy it off me. I gave it to them for free. The Little Syrian boy and girl smiled and said thank you. This has given me an idea to get volunteers together and give out toys in person and other aid in Syrian refugee camps. I hope people will get together and do that. The Syrian children will be so happy. I know that I bought happiness to the Syrian boy and girl I helped out.

As an African woman who travels alot, i must say this is going on in many countries everywhere. Back in my governance training days, this was a sad reality i found my Russian friend trapped in, in Asia. She was forced to stand on streets, every single day by a crazy Asian man😭. I talked to her and she went back home. She was two years younger than me and she needed money for her mother's treatment. I talked her out of it and she listened. And today she's a young happy woman and her mom is ok too. But if you look around this is going on in many countries i dont know where the world is headed. Not just lebanon. The new market today is Saudi Arabia, many girls are trafficked there and yet the government says its illegal. God help us! If economies are good, this won't be seen. These ladies are looking for survival. And wars are displacing others into refuge!!

This makes me so sad. I had a chance to visit a facility in taiwan as part of the leadership program where foreign women were falsely recruited into human trafficking and were rescued. I have been researching/reading/watching about prostitution and human trafficking since i read a bbc article in high school about modern day slavery and the impact it has on our culture today. We need to stop slavery in developing countries but one of the surprising facts is the occurrence and evolution of slavery in developed countries.

I live in England in the United Kingdom near where I live Is Syrian refugee families. I had some toys and a little Syrian boy came up to me and asked for a tinker bell doll. He spoke very good English and his parents were willing to pay for the toy off of me. I said No the boy and his little sister can have the tinker bell doll for free. This has given me an idea to help take toys over to the Syrian refugee camps for the children. And food and aid if we got volunteers we could do it BBC. It is time to start helping these poor people and the children. The little boy and girl said thank you to me for the Tinker Bell doll. They have been through so much and I am glad that I gave it to the to to the Syrian children in person. Because I know if I give it out to them directly it is going to them.

Prostitution is actually legal in Lebanon, it's just that the government hasn't handed out licenses since the 70s.

Olivia Harrison there is male prostitution in Lebanon. Whether it's for females (though that's rare) or even for males. But I don't think they operate in the same manner as the prostitutes shown in this documentary. The prostitution that takes place in the documentary is illegal because the brothels (nor individuals) have licences.

I have a happy story to tell you I live in England in the United Kingdom. And where I live is Syrian refugee children and I had some toys and the little Syrian boy and his sister came up to me. They liked the Tinker Bell doll and asked if they could have it. So I gave it to them their parents wanted to buy it off me. I gave it to them for free. The Little Syrian boy and girl smiled and said thank you. This has given me an idea to get volunteers together and give out toys in person and other aid in Syrian refugee camps. I hope people will get together and do that. The Syrian children will be so happy. I know that I bought happiness to the Syrian boy and girl I helped out.
