I'm glad to see Eunorau made some improvements on this bike. I was a dealer years ago and bought one to check it out, my cost then was under $1000. 1st generation version had even a more basic, non screen display, only 3 levels of pedal assist and the controller was in the frame. It was slow and awkward and I had no luck selling it. I converted it to 750W rear only hub, 35 amp controller with a color display, hydraulic brakes, air shock and some other improvements. I ended up selling it for $2000. Then donated the used parts to some guy I met in a DIY ebike group on FB, for his build.
The Eunorau is a nice looking ebike. I know the Eunorau brand has a lot of different e-bikes, but the duo motor shows it provides a lot of help going up hills. And let’s face it that’s the biggest reason most get an ebike to begin with as pedaling in general on flat is not difficult.
The mouse trap bike rack was originally used for school books. We used a rubber suspender before the advent of Bungie. Great Western had a Cataba Pink bottle that fit it squarely .
For better results, lower tire pressure for sand and snow mud etc. gives the tire more surface area and you won’t sink in so much. Same with cars or any vehicle really with air tires.
People dart out in front of me all the time. A girl was getting something out of her truck as I was riding down the street on my fat bike and she decided to turn completely around and take a couple steps into the street in an instant, without looking. Close call. She yelled "sorry!" after I passed, it's all good but wow, things like that seem to keep happening.
Peoples ears are listening out for combustion engines. A lot of ebikes are almost silent and people don't expect them to come so fast. It's a problem with all electric vehicles mind you.
All the pannier racks back in the 90's near me (vancouver canada) had those springs. We called them rat traps. And they hold down the saddle bag hang over strap.
Cool value bike concept. Not just snow or sand, it is the torquyest bike in its price range. A bit low on top speed, but the low power of 1 motor is good for range, with power at just the flick of a button. A cheaper way to get this last benefit is to just have eco/normal/sport modes that reduce power and acceleration with an easy button (short press of power button). Dual 70nm torque motors (still value range) would make an insanely powerful bike
I agree %100. The only thing I am curious is how the lack of any suspension would feel like on terrible streets. Perhaps the fat tires are plenty, and the provided rear suspension is all one needs? Hmm if so then it is a great bike all around.
@@buffalomind6838you definitely need suspension. I’ve got 4” wheels also with front suspension and it’s still a bit bumpy. Next bike is going to have front and rear suspension and another under my seat.
@@TravisMcGee151 I have full suspension, and 2 others 1 with front suspension & a suspension seat post, and the other with none. I definitely appreciate/noticed the difference over ruff surfaces. In that respect the lack of suspension is not magically not relevant just cause we like what we see, and hope the lack of any would do just fine. We are at a time where bikes of all kinds should be much lighter with the works full suspension, so all the added weight can be brought down making it more practical and efficient.
This bike is killer in the snow but I definitely needed to make some pricy but worth it upgrades to make this bike close to perfect for my needs such as Hydraulic Brakes, 180mm rotors and obviously the seat is the first thing I've swapped on this bike. The display was different than yours and broke under a month of use, changed it for a Bafang mini color display and that's way better. I'd need a better battery especially for this bike, because the 2 motors are consuming a lot, I'd be curious to see the difference with a 25amp hours battery, the best battery I have has 17.5AH. There's maybe better deals out there but even though with all the money I've put on mine I still don't regret it, I would definitely need studded tires (at least the front wheel) for next Winter because if the front wheel spins out on ice, you fall. I broke a brake lever that way. Best bike for hill climbing I think, I could put a Sun Race 14-34 freewheel to help even more with that.
Being in Wisconsin, please tell me more. I'm a little curious on the year round in frisky climates, which is very hard to find relevant reviews on. In my youth, admittedly far longer ago than I'll admit, I rode year round... It's simply more "cold" efficient than 3 transfers on the bus.
@@shadowflash8519 Winter is pretty harsh on the bike, I went through at least 2 freewheels on my other bike, I would need to change the freewheel and chain every 2 months or earlier even depending on use. Tires took a beating too, I suspect that calcium didn't help either, so I would need at least 2 studded tires per winter for the rear wheel and I could probably manage to last all winter with a new front tire. Can't go under -20 Celsius because it's bad for the battery, but I did bike delivery at -17 a lot last winter. This particular bike I had some problems and also because of the upgrades I needed to do on it, I didn't use it a lot because of that, so I'll see this upcoming Winter how things will go, I should be using this bike as my main one during the winter( as I was supposed to last winter). I got some rustbuster chains for the Winter too but the freewheels are going to die early anyway and both will need to be changed at the same time.
