Les paul is brighter IMO and sounds beter on solos especialy on neck pickup. I have both yamahas RSS02T and RSS20 exacly in the same colours as yours and LP Traditional. I will compare all of them soon.

Yeah I agree. LP has more ‘quack’. Both sound pretty good but definitely different. Revstars do very well against much more expensive guitars

@@johnfalzon Hm, would pickup change make them more alike on the neck? If we put burstbuckers on Revstar.

@@Lordofmrak It would certainly be closer. I love the neck pickup on the LP. I’d love to try it one day

Genereally agree but at some points the paul has some tweaks that the yamaha doesn't have, wich tbh surprices me

Up next, comparing an Audi R8 to a Yugo.

The Revstar is certainly no Yugo

@@johnfalzon You're right. It's more like a Kia or Hyundai. My bad.

When is the last time Gibson has innovated anything? They are more like an old Chevy than an Audi. Something boomers think makes them look cool and unique, but looks and sounds the same as every other one. Nothing special.

@@danielfenmore2712 I agree. But remember, Boomers got to see all the great 70's & 80's rocks shows. You only have rap & Taylor Swift. Lol

It seems you never played a Yamaha, they are great guitars... especially the Revstar series...
