- On-board footage of Air Canada Jazz flight AC8247 taking off from the West Kootenay Regional Airport in Castlegar, British Columbia, CYCG for the Vancouver International Airport, YVR. I was in Seat 2A which provided a nice view of the propeller and some great sound. Enjoy some nice views of the scenery around the airport in Castlegar shortly after takeoff.

Wow, I love those sounds of Dash 8 300's Pratt & Whitney Canada PW121 turboprop engines.
Same here, they're a lot of fun to fly in.

Canadas winters are soo awesome ! ;d nice vid !
Thanks! We definitely get some nice winters here :-)
***** Awesome, greetings from Latvia !
Nice video once again! And a clear shot of 'Old Glory' mountain on the climb out too :)
Are you adjusting the shutter speed purposely to capture the props in slow motion? And does the effect show up real time on the view screen?
I do miss the Kootenay winters.
Jim H Thanks a lot, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I always like flying out of YCG, the view is quite nice. As for the shutter speed, that just matched up with the props by chance this time. I can't remember if I could tell at the time of filming or not, I'll check next time I'm on the Dash :-)
Amazing views, but was that supposed to be french from the flight attendant??? :D
Haha definitely not the best French, that's for sure ;-) Thanks for watching!
I imagine the flight with a propeller plane before getting very shaky and turbolent.
Can you say the opposite?
Your video will like it very much!
Thanks for watching! I don't usually find them that turbulent or shaky, it can be quite loud though, especially if you're sitting right beside the prop.
I not understand.
So you mean not so shaky or not?
Berlin Movieplanespotting
No, not too shaky.
Okay super :)
Was that seat 2a or 2f?
That was seat 2A.
🤩😍🤩😍
Thanks for watching 😃
wow it gives the illusion your not that high up because of the mountains eh
+Games and “TheCollector” Blu-rays Definitely. It's a pretty exciting airport to fly out of because of the mountainous terrain!
Can my wife be a turbine?
.. why would she be speaking French anyway? in BRITISH Columbia? Sheesh
the flight attendants ? they have to present their safety briefing in English and French because Canada is legally bilingual.
Alex King ,,, I thought it was just Quebec where the people pretend theyre French
