    Lowered the music a bit so it's easier to listen to!

    • @TheJakeJackson
      @TheJakeJackson 11 дней назад +4

      I hate to do this, but I watched the previous version in its entirety and found the music levels better. Could still hear you clearly, music was just a background.
      For context: my listening environment for that was phone speakers, no headphones, my office had no background noise interfering.
      By better, I mean that the quieter music now is a bit distracting because it can only occasionally be heard under your voice. When part of it cuts in it's more noticeable to me because it was invisible a moment before.

    • @CelestialReaper
      @CelestialReaper 11 дней назад +2

      Yes to music but very faint, so it doesn't overlap your voice (since most likely you'll have the gameplay sounds already colliding with that)
      also include the name in the description (or don't and get free comments forever asking "Sauce?" )

Also he is gonna start training me too but doesn't mention it in the video, training videos will only be streamed.

    I picked up Tekken 8 because of Clive's release and was immediately linked your beginner guide by multiple people. I have since spent every lunch break binging your videos and tutorials, your match replays, and even the goofy content on your second channel.
    I am excited to take a topic you have a video on and going home to then practice these techniques each day and this is probably the most interested I've ever been in a fighting game. I hope a bit of positivity helps clean up some of your daily walk!

    I think the best way to look at negative comments is to view them without emotion. Walk by them, analyze if there is anything of substance in the negativity, and if there isn't, simply forget about it and continue onward.

    Ive only started Tekken 8 in december as a scrub who usually quits fighting game after 1 month, and your videos made me keep on even after losses, rematch to learn match ups, understand mechanics instead of raging...
    The algorythm knows I like Maximilian's videos so theres probably a link there, cause you're both great at being nuanced, and conscious of all the different audiences of fighting games.
    Just followed you on Twitch and hope you return with a bang for season 2. Again, your videos are not just entertaining, they help a lot.

    Thank you, PhiDX for your content. I played some tekken 5 as a kid (only offline) and since then I always wanted to get good a fighting games, but I always gave up after 3h of getting my shit kicked in online fighting games. Thanks to your educational content i now grinded around 300h of tekken 8 bought an arcade stick and I'm sitting in raijin with clive and still finding a lot of stuff to improve on. The best thing is my whole friend group got motivated and we are sitting in calls every evening now playing tekken either ranked or versus eachother. The whole positive energy you bring to the game helped me with my mindset and made it possible to teach your stuff to my friends, which is a ton of fun to me since im going to start teaching in college in a year. :)

    Hey phi keep doin your thing man and what you feel is right for your channel. You analogy about the walk in the park and seeing dog ish is great way of explaining your thoughts on the recent negativity that some of your content has been getting. I would just encourage you to keep following your instincts. I remember when you barely had 1000 subs on YT, but you could tell that your passion, excitement, and enthusiasm for tekken was legit. Fast forward now and i think its fair to see you are now one of the biggest tekken content creators and you still seem like the same cat to me who loves to play tekken. I know there is a lot of negativity around t8, but i personally am having the most fun in a tekken game ever with t8 and im a Raven main. 😅 is the game perfect? No? Could it better? Absolutely. But is the game trash and "destined to fail" i personally dont think so. Again coming from a Raven main. Have a good one! 😊

    With the sidestep poll I was really excited to see people’s notes on certain moves that have weird interactions, but I just saw a bunch of people whining, which was disheartening, but I’m glad it got better as it stayed up.
    I really want to watch the video you’re gonna make out of that idea, it’ll help the people who will hunker down and really take the time to learn it. Overall, I’m new to fighting games and had never played any tekken at all before 8 dropped, so sidestepping is very foreign to me and I only use it on hard reads. Getting some more in depth advice and in-time examples would be awesome

    I also have experienced lately that anything gaming related is met with negativity, I think it's just that people are much more likely to engage with something if they disagree though. Maybe the positive feedback is a lot harder to notice, I feel like if people like something they just drop a heart or a like or whatever and leave, sadly.

    Hey @PhiDx, just wanted to say I really appreciate your content. As a new Tekken player, it is really off putting to see so many creators dismissing something you are enjoying as "bad", "terrible", "depressing" etc etc. It is completely valid to say you aren't enjoying the direction the game is taking and expressing those opinions (I have my own views on improvable aspects of the game), but the "emotionally charged" way this information is presented can be really discouraging and off putting for potential new players who might otherwise give the game a go and enjoy it. I've found the offline experience to be more appealing and positive than what's going on online, I just don't get why players are so addicted to perpetuating this negativity. If Tekken 8's design affects you to the degree where you can't stop making content about how much you dislike it, it's ok to admit this is not the game for you and move on to something else.

    Regarding negativity I'm definitely on your side. I don't know why people don't just move on to playing another game if they don't like it and just bitch about it online. Maybe they want to push for some kind of improvement and yeah I also think some things could be better about the game, but most of the negativity you see isn't really constructive. It even got to the point once where I was put off from playing the game by the negativity surrounding it, only to find out later after playing some more that I actually enjoy it even if it can be greatly improved on.

    I feel like a lot of game communities can be incredibly toxic with Tekken being no exception, but the attitude you promote and exemplify with this game is really refreshing and validating to me personally. Staying in the mindset of personal growth and focusing on how to improve upon mistakes/ increase comfort is really healthy and seeing it explored on your channel inspires me to do the same with other games, and even other things outside of video games, like tackling social anxiety and depression. You’re really authentic and positive, and I believe that no matter how you proceed in the future, that’ll continue to cultivate the community that you deserve and create a kind of feedback loop that’ll make sure we all keep winning together 🧡🧡🧡🧡

    I haven't played this game in months, but I also haven't played any other fighters because I've been addicted to The Finals (still criminally underrated game). However, watching this gameplay makes me want to play again. Also, I've been thinking about Tekken 8 a lot over the last couple of months. Sure, the game has problems, but maybe people should take an extended break if they really feel alienated as you say. It probably will help. Kind of obvious, but still doesn't hurt to be said. Probably going to re download this tonight.

    I really don’t understand the negativity in the Tekken community, it comes off as if some people are really really bitter about the game. I grew up playing tekken 3 all the time, and I’ve been a huge huge fan of the series ever since. I just got into online in Tekken 8 and learned that it’s a totally new and different experience playing against people that are not just your offline friends. I’ve learned incredibly much thanks to all of your videos, I had to relearn the whole game to be able to compete online, which has been really tough, but thanks to u I’m right in front of the gates to Tekken King now.
