How is it possible Steppenwolf has NOT been inducted into the ROCK N ROLL Hall of Fame? Someone must have a negative thing for the band to not have inducted them long ago!
It's a pure shame! But in my opinion, it's because they are just part of that Hollywood pop cult, and they are not fans of rock n roll music. It's a bunch of people in the pop industry who doesn't like this kind of music who are really making all the decisions, and pulling the strings. They are puppet masters. They control everything you hear and see.
You can not repeat MAGIK...it was a brief time and then closed up behind them...scared the HOLY SHIT out guys like NIXON...Grace Slick should have dosed him...but I doubt that lame phuck would have woke up even with 600 mcq. ...it is all as it is and was...it is all written already anyway
The birth of Hard Rock..............a timeless classic. The singer was featured in the recent BBC4 docu about American Rock, also titled Born To Be Wild.
Super kick ass 70's rock band, one of my favorites. They don't make bands like this anymore. What a Great era for Rock n Roll. Glade to be a part of it.
Great band. 98% of their material has been overshadowed by the 2 mega hits. Great solo stuff too. Vastly underrated band. Loovin Spoonful in? Steppenwolf out? Wtf?
CLASSIC ROCK AND ROLL AT IT'S FINEST!!SAW THEM TWICE!!! M.O'B

Mr. John Kay - Bad Dude and Bad Song! He really is a great guy. Has done a lot to make this world a better place. Much respect to the Man!
simply the greatest classic rock in my opinion! CLASSIC of classics!!!
The incredibly talented Steppenwolf. They are one of my all time favorites. This tune launched them into stardom.
There was magic in the air back then. No generation have come close to what was happening then which is sad.
You cannot have magic when labels fail to do their job.
@@nomeansno2335 yeah right on and there's no reason we shouldn't still be celebrating today. I am
I so agree. 👍
65 years old and I hear you.

KICKASS SONG!!! Love this classic 1960's song, very very cool and great riffs man.......! WE ARE BORN TO BE WILD......!!!
Wasn't that in the 70s
@@jmm1817 somewhen it was.
Que saudade dessa época, nada hoje se compara a esses tempos. Huhuhuhuhuh....
This was the ideal track for Easy Rider, the masterpiece statement of the 1960s. I’ve just seen it again on a big screen for the first time since 1969
Oops! Not the original members. On bass is George Biondo I think, and Kent Henry on guitar. John Kay, Goldy McJohn and Jerry Edmonton are there.
I was talking to George about SW and this would be about the time he was in the band.
I really like this song
Está canción es un clásico entre los clásicos!! 👍
Goldy McJohn

May 2, 1945 - August 1, 2017 RIP
They show him for about 10 seconds in this video. Shameful! Guess keyboard players aren't sexy enough.
All the people who understand... please rise for our National Anthem...
Kay singing live to the original instrumental track.
And to think....some people still listen to today's 'music'. I don't want to know those people.
a lot of todays music is an insult
John wick was one hell of a rock and roll singer

GET YOUR CRICKET RUNNIN
head on down the sidewalk
Lookin for your dentures
And some milk of magnesia
No pasa nada con esos nuevos giles...el original steppen wolf era otra cosa...insuperables...
Is that Kent Henry on guitar? He replaced Larry Byrom on the "For Ladies Only" lp.
Yes
Biondo on bass...
or no wait let me rephrase that not "hippie" freedom lover is a better term !
Formação ?
john kay - vocals
jerry edmonton - drums
goldy mcjohn - keyboard
kent henry - guitar
george biondo -bass
Era mejor el cantante original, pero finalmente no está tan mal.
questo è el cantante original,, è John Kay!!!
It seems like the man who plays black guitar dressed up in ukrainian vyshyvanka? )
I think the lyric is "Yeah I gotta go make it happen" not "Yeah Darlin' go make it happen"
Here he's saying "yeah darlin go and make it happen" but I always thought it was "yeah darlin gonna make it happen"?
Greatest lyrics ever written... worst stage outfit ever worn.
