Nice video. I have a MA2 and still learning but this video helped me understand "tripod" creates the cinematic effect. Can't wait for the sun to rise in the am. Will be testing it out.
Just got my Mavic 2 Pro yesterday, and thanks to you guys, I've just discovered this mode. I'm about to do a Golf resort and new rugby ground shoot and I think the DJI Mavic 2 Pro is going to be a great asset. I chose not to buy the Mavic Air 2 despite its 60FPS because I valued the 1" sensor and adjustable aperture more. Really looking forward to the experience of my new drone and looks like I'll be able to do slow motion after all with Tripod mode. Thanks for this awesome video guys.
good video. another consideration: The gimbal in tripod mode can be too slow. For Spark, a work around is to be in GPS mode, then lower the stick sensitivity (found in stick mode controls). This reduces Spark speed to that of tripod mode without affecting the gimbal rate.
absolutely no brainer mode to get sense of deep and achieve the "saint grial" cinematic shots, by the way congrats for your videos, useful, clear, well done! i saw thousands drones vids, and you´re The One. Eager to receive my 1st DJI.

Did you have any issues with signal/flipping into atti mode indoors with that metal ceiling? I have job next week in a precast building with a metal ceiling and I'm nervous I'll have to fly manual. Thanks!
I use the Mavic Air 2. When I use Tripod Mode it still goes just as FAST as Normal when going straight ahead. Anyone else having these issues or can you tell me why this may be?
I just got my Air 2 today and had the same issue. But it might have been because the flight tutorial sprang into life while I was shooting. I will try it again tomorrow.
@@TheAeroRising Yesterday was bad weather. Tried it again today. Tripod mode forward backward seemed to work fine. I am still not happy with camera control going too fast, but that could well be me pushing it too hard. I am still getting used to it.
Tripod mode is much slower. If you are in cinematic mode and you stop the movement of the drone, it will take longer to stop, so it looks smoother. I do prefer tripod mode.
@@danielwehrtmann1163 then the question becomes, what's the advantage of Cinematic Mode vs Tripod Mode? Like in what scenarios or applications would Cinematic Mode be more advantageous than Tripod Mode? I'm still a newbie and haven't filmed enough to be able to compare the differences in practice
in most cases you can't fly indoors using gps, you have to use atti mode which is flight without gps. Be extra careful with this, but in tripod mode it should be awesome
I have recently updated my app to DJI GO 4 version 4.3.3 ( for my Mavic Pro) and the icon on the low left of H.U.D. for flight controls is gone. I switch modes all the time usually for the reasons mentioned in your vid but now the app has changed. anyone else experiencing this?
I have had pryoblems shooting group shots as invariably someone is hiding behind those in front. So I bought a Mavic pro and use tripode mode. It is also good when I want to be in the photo, See mypreciousportraits.net

Without gps can use tripod mode with spark I side building?

i do many panoramic photography ( horizontal or vertical ) with 3-5 shots. Is Tripod Mode good for this ?

Images By Raphael if you’re trying to make a time lapse video, using tripod mode will help you control better since It’ll go slower
