this is the reason why he becomes a king of jpop. every JPOP artist was influenced and inspired by him like king gnu, yoasobi (producer)vaundy, masaki suda, and a lot and also he was a multi-talenteded person he could be a producer/singer/dancer/illustrator/arrangement, etc. even he had high function autism.

Jpop haven’t change at all. 40 years ago I was listening to exactly the same style of music. He is not the king of jpop.

This song was not only popular in Japan at the time, but it could also be heard in middle school campuses in China. As the theme song of a TV series【Unnatural】(A story about a forensic pathologist investigating the true cause of death on bodies with unnatural deaths and discovering the poignant stories behind them.) The song and the show complemented each other.

Spirits of the sea is my most fave of all his songs. I consider his music as art itself.

    日本のポップスは60年代のアメリカンポップスの影響を受けているので、メロディが重視されます。一方で韓国のポップスは80年代以降のアメリカンポップスの影響を受けているので、リズ厶重視なのです。
