I keep asking my head designer “can’t we just convert EVERYTHING TO HEX?” Bc all we use is essentially 5 colors. She rolls her eyes at me. (I only really do RGB at office as a pinch hitter - I’m a strategist/content person).
There was only 1 new feature to Illustrator this year, Intertwine, which is quite nice, if you like that type of art, it will be overused though now by everyone. I feel that all the other introduced features are not new at all and are just old features fixed how they should have been in the first place, 3D we should have always had these basic export options, quick actions are the poor cousin of graphic styles and even look like a step backwards, faster placed graphics! really we're still excited about speeding up placed images, I'm not. There is one feature this year and one feature only. I'm looking at my years subscription and really wondering what they've done for the last year with my money apart from gone on holiday.
My biggest grumble as well.. what the hell do they do with the money? I wish Apple came up with their own illustrator and indesign like they have done with Final Cut and Logic Pro to replace Premiere Pro and Audition! I would move in a heartbeat!!
totally agree with you on this. i heard that affinity is going to be releasing version 2.0 of designer sometime soon. let's keep our fingers crossed that it's going to be a banger!
@@denhamk Affinity Designer and Publisher! Works on Mac and Ipad. Still a ways to go to line up with Ai and Id, but they're great programs! Their Version 2 is slated to drop soon (hopefully this year, so maybe wait to buy)... and Affinity is a one time purchase model with free updates, except when they upgrade from Version 1 to Version 2. Worth looking in to!
It's crazy to me because there are so many possibilities for improving the vector drawing toolkit. I don't use illustrator as my primary tool anymore but in general it feels like all we've gotten over the last 10 years is a better GPU accelerated canvas, live corners, a slightly improved pen and direct selection tool, a poor attempt at the "shaper tool", and a properties panel that isn't customizable.
@@James-Purdy totally. I love the work that astute graphics is doing to improve illustrator, but as a hobbyist i just can't justify the annual cost of their plugins. It's a shame because they're actually pushing illustrator to greater limits... Work that adobe should be doing themselves.
hi I'm new to graphic design, I want to start to create a portfolio of work. Photoshop and Illustrator together is nearly £700 per year which is looooads, do you suggest I buy both or just use one?
Hey will, can you please let us know what are the system requirements for using Adobe 2023 complete suite? We are a group of 50 students who watch ur videos regularly. We need to buy few systems, that can run Adobe 2023 suite. It would be great if you could guide us in this regard..
Wow, you know, if they gave me the option to purchase these updates, I would just skip them. But of course, there's no option. You pay and this is what you happened to get. Perpetual lootboxes.
Which is your favourite update this year? :)
Partially overlap objects with intertwine 😍
There is only one upgrade this year and you know it, I'll let you guess.
Removing the dreadful "Oh Lawd, Dem RANGZ!" splash screens.
[edit: typo]
You didn't mention the newest feature: you now have to pay a monthly subscription to Pantone to use their swatches in your files.
While that is true, you can blame Pantone for that, not Adobe.
@@angelbear_ogThe blame doesn't rest solely on Pantone. Licensing fee negotiation is not a one-sided process. It takes two if ya know what I mean.

I missed this studio a lot!

Greatest new feature must be the price hike to use Pantone colours
Hi. I want to know that how to make a custom 3D mockup? Example can be a bottle.
The update that we all need is… When is Photoshop and Illustrator become free? 😜🥳🎉
