Tony Bennet died today at age 96. 'I Left My Heart in San Francisco' would be great. Tony also did a fabulous duet with Amy Winehouse and she was ner vous and star struck but did great.
They don't make them like they used to. Frank Sinatra was such a smooth crooner. He has a huge library of great songs. Some of my favorites are "Fly Me To The Moon", "New York, New York", "Strangers In The Night", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "That's Life", "My Kind Of Town", "Summer Wind" etc. And he did a duet with his daughter Nancy called "Something Stupid" in 1967.
Great story about your teacher in high school. Same for me. My senior English teacher was a massive Sinatra fan. Had a picture of him on his desk. I used to tell him I wrote every paper “My Way”.
"My Way" is a song popularized in 1969 by Frank Sinatra set to the music of the French song "Comme d'habitude" composed by Jacques Revaux with lyrics by Gilles Thibaut and Claude François[1][2] and first performed in 1967 by Claude François. Its English lyrics were written by Paul Anka and are unrelated to the original French song.
On similar note, Tony Bennett died today or yesterday. You might find some entertainment similar to Frank from Tony. I think you'd like it and it's topical.
It's called Growth. Hopefully most of us as we get older get it and grow as a person. You're alright Biz. I enjoy watching you. And Frank was the man. Cool as the other side of the pillow.
Enjoyed your perspective on this wonderful Sinatra performance. Isn't it interesting when your tastes evolve as you go through your life. It's good to expose yourself to new things wouldn't you say.
This is the lesson of what it means to be a man, Volume I. If you feel this way, as you retire, you hit a homerun. Take a slow lap around the bases, G. You did it.
Goosebumps 🥰 This is Frank's signature song IMO. You are so right about how your taste changes with maturity. I was lucky to grow up in a music loving household. My father loved opera & old time country western (horrifying thought I) and my mother loved all the male crooners - Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett , even Englebert Humperdink ?!?. When I was a teenager, I wouldn't be caught dead listening to that music. Now that I am - ahem -"Vintage", I understand this great old music. Now I love some classic country (Patsy Cline, Hank Williams Sr, etc), and often play compilations CD's of the works of Frank, Dino, and I have a lovely Tony Bennett duets. Still not into the Humperdink 😝 As they say "mother knows best".... By the way Rest in Peace to the great Tony Bennett who passed away this week at aged 96😔
I had the best of both worlds growing up in the sixties and seventies. The old crooners like Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and so many others and rock & roll and soul music at the same time. These older crooners were still always on TV and would watch with my parents. I probably took it for granted that these old guys would always be there and then one by one they were gone. Kinda sad in a way. Peace ❤
Gotta love Frank! Check out Luck Be A Lady, the live version. Also Fly Me To The Moon, Live at the Kiel Opera House. The orchestra is led by Quincy Jones. Love your reactions!
Nice job young man, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald- The Lady Is A Tramp is very very good, also Ella Fitzgerald- Summertime and Cry Me a River and anything by Louis Armstrong
You should listen to the studio version and Frank released the song first and it became an anthem for him but I read it got to the point where he ended up hating singing the song
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 One of my favorite song by Frank Sinatra Live, concerts collection Is 🎵 Send in the Clowns 🎵 His voices and only one guitare 👌 Your gonna adore this song too Keep the good work Biz 👏 ✌️ 👍🏻

Great story about your teacher in high school. Same for me. My senior English teacher was a massive Sinatra fan. Had a picture of him on his desk. I used to tell him I wrote every paper “My Way”.

Yes Control is the best way to describe his voice.

Paul Anka wrote this song...for Frank Sinatra.
It was written by Paul Anka for Sinatra.
Nice job young man, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald- The Lady Is A Tramp is very very good, also Ella Fitzgerald- Summertime and Cry Me a River and anything by Louis Armstrong
They don't call him, the CEO for nothing. Could do it All. 💪🎶
Well said, Biz.
Nice reaction 💯
That’s Life is your next Sinatra song you should react to.
You should listen to the studio version and Frank released the song first and it became an anthem for him but I read it got to the point where he ended up hating singing the song
Ol' blue eyes!
Jim Reeves - Welcome To My World ......and Ray Price- For the Good Times
My Way was written by Willie Nelson

Please do Send In The Clowns by Sinatra next ❤
You should react to Sid Vicious' cover of this song. It's probably not to everyone's taste, but I've always loved it.
Oh I gotta hear that!
I think Paul Anka wrote this song.

Your gonna adore this song too Keep the good work Biz 👏 ✌️ 👍🏻
You’re talking about the greatest
Paul Anka wrote the song
On the money comments about Sinatra. All things in time.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔥
Softest landing in the history of song
Elvis did a great version of this song in his Aloha From Hawaii, I actually prefer Elvis version
Please, compare My Way cover by Vanny Vabiola
Sid Vicious re did. N true to him was he's way
Elvis sang this way better and it fit his life much better, too. Frank's version lacks emotion and sounds flat.
