I get the feeling that there's more to it, more than we know. She's always wearing NIKE while doing anything. People need to stop with the Aja and Paige nonsense, neither are moving the entire sports world. Especially Aja, talk about the opposite of humble.
In big time D1 schools HEAD EQUIPMENT managers have direct line to whoever sponsor them Nike, Adidas, Etc..they can make a phone call or even design merchandise, replace merch themself and put it out to the teams store etc…so that is most likely why Paige has merch “first”
Yeah, because Aja was getting mad that she deserved a shoe that no one would buy, so Nike had to bow down to her. Pretty hilarious at this point how pathetic all this pandering has become.
What an awful way to run a multi billion dollar corporation. It’s just hard to comprehend. Aja’s shoe deal doesn’t mean they can’t sell other CC merch. There has to be more to this story.
Here's a thought. Perhaps the bigwigs at Nike currently do not like CC, but just wanted to take her off the market. They put just barely enough stuff out (lame shirt) to say they are fulfilling their agreement. But, perhaps the real goal is to prevent the competition from using CC. Just a thought.
Okay, has anybody thought that if WE''RE aware of Nike's failure to capitalize on the Caitlin effect, that Caitlin is not only aware of it also, but is the only person that can act on it? Anyone who's dealt with the legal system can tell you that even simple things can take a fair amount of time. When you get into legal issues with contracts the time is even more lengthy, and can involve lots of preliminary actions before it even gets into court. Her actual contract is only a little more than a year old. So if she has begun to think that Nike is not meeting their contractual obligations, she may not have started, or has just recently started, the initial phases LEADING UP TO actual legal actions. This generally starts with your lawyers talking with their lawyers to try and resolve things WITHOUT actually going before a judge in court. All of this takes TIME. And giving the timing of the relative date of when the contracts were signed, they've barely started the process. Now Nike has top flight lawyers, but Caitlin has the financial wherewithal to get the very best lawyers on her side also. But again, remember that all of this takes TIME, a LOT of it. It's too soon for us to get antsy and upset about things, and it's not our place to do so anyway. So take a chill pill, and trust Caitlin to take the appropriate steps to resolve things to her advantage.
It appears the shoe deal includes the merchandise also. Wilson Basketball has a full line of clothing and golf gear and clubs. CC's line with Wilson is only basketballs. They would make a mint on clothing not associated with the WNBA. But they are not doing that. That tells me Nike deal is all encompassing. I read in a chat on a video someone saying they heard Calloway was going to offer her a contract. That is ridiculous. Nike, Wilson and Calloway all do similar stuff as far as sporting goods. Nike has CC locked down on the sporting goods.
Again we don’t know the specifics of her Nike deal maybe she’ll make a lot more than what they put out. True they’re not marketing CC the way the should. Heck they market Juju more than CC and she hasn’t proven anything.
No, it’s her agents fault. Her agent should’ve asked Nike what their plan was had it in the contract she should’ve had way more money. Her agent is a total failure. Her agent set the market for the next Big superstar only Garner 30 to 35,000,000 if they were to just the past Caitlyn Clark success, which is going to be hard to do. She should have at least gotten 10 years 100,000,000.
Who cares about the billboard? People can't take the billboard home. The only thing I can figure is they signed her to hold her back, not to actually market her. Nike has clearly lost their way as a company, so no more Nike merch in this household until they get their act together and behave in an honorable way.
Nike has fumbled but they do have Caitlin tied up for 8 years. They keep Caitlin away from the competition for 8 years. A contract law attorney would have to explain if CC has a legal case for breach of contract.
Everyone needs to remember one thing, Caitlin hasn't released what her % is, of every signature shoe sold! I'm sure it's a bigger % than most of us realize. If CAITLIN WAS WORRIED ABOUT IT, SHE WOULD'VE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT IT ALREADY!
The appearance is that Caitlin cares about family, friends, challenges, teamwork, championships, and being a good person. Money comes after all that. She doesn't have to complain about it cause she has folks like you to complain for her.
She should buy out her contract. THEN have a designer come up with her own product line and sign a contract with one of the brands to distribute it under their brand.
Remember, she is getting a yearly free paycheck from NIKE. The only sad thing, no signature shoe, her agents fault for not demanding a deadline on the contract
I've been thinking they are just carefully planning to get it right because she is that important. But, yeah..I mean no t-shirts, no shorts, nothing? She is one of the biggest stars in the world 🌎 right now
Listen Caitlin needs to put her foot down and tell them either do your job right or we will see you in court and discontinue this partnership. Just by what they did for her after she won roty it shows they don't care. That shirt was awfully bad!
Hopefully CC has some clauses in the contract that protect her, she did sign with a reputable agent and agency. I agree Nike could and should have done better, But what’s going on behind the scenes. If you look at their YTD stock prices, it makes you wonder even more why they haven’t done more for CC. I’m sure that Nike executives are well aware of how well Wilson basketballs are selling or anything else that has her name on it.
It's a shame that Nike and WNBA mobsters teamed up to sabotage CC22's career. The whole planet is watching the pettiness of these mobsters. Everything in life has to be paid for, sooner or later karma will take its revenge.
She needs to sue them for breech of contract. Then create her own brand and sell them through an online store. Nike could already have golf products, soccer products along, basketball and everything would be sold out. Since they don't she should partner with callaway for golf and wilson for soccer. Then new deals with under amour and addisas. She could be worth 100 millon by the end of next year.
Clark doesn't have the right agent and her mother is her manager. Mom and Pop operations can do well but can't knock heads. This maybe fine with them and only want what they can personally handle. Brand and passive ownership deals take up less time on a constant basis like the Soccer team partnership. Have to let them work through it.
I said it before, and I'll say it again. Both JuJu and Paige will get signature shoes from nike before they even attempt to design shoes for Caitlin Clark....assuming they even bother to at all.
Mick I see you just can’t stop! I see the method to your madness 😂 trying pimp your products since Nike hasn’t started selling CC merchandise well played 👏 I explained it to you several times CC’s Nike deal requires her to promote Kobe’s brand until her merchandise line is ready. You know this Nike shoe deal foolishness is much do to about nothing. She doesn’t need any marketing to sell products & you know that it’s a waste of money 😂 Again, it takes time to produce millions of products to sell vs tens of thousands. All those others players combined will not sell anywhere near the amount merchandise that CC will. They will sale tens of thousands but CC is going to sell tens of millions that’s a big difference. Nike is just getting the easy stuff out of way & trying to make some money off Paige & A’ja before they release CC shoes & merchandise which will completely drown out the shoe market non of those others shoes are going sell after her shoes are released 😂 Its actually a very smart decision. I too thought they were fumbling & making a big mistake by delaying her rollout but the more I thought about it I came to see the rationale behind their decision.
Nike won’t have CC shoes and merch until 2026-27. A’ja was always going first but Paige has moved ahead of Caitlin in the pecking order. Juju could be next to move ahead. I don’t see the genius behind it, unless Nike thinks A’ja, Paige and JuJu can sell more merch than Caitlin.
@@vernieistooold Read his argument again, You know, the one you replied to. Darthlord supposes that Nike wants to get these women's shoes out now because when Caitlin's merch drops, the other ladies merch won't sell so they are getting that money now.

CC merch should be available ahead of Aja, Paige and JuJu. Even if they go with Aja first… Paige and JuJu should wait (both should pay their dues as CC has been told to pay her dues).
Sure they will be fine. But it’s disrespectful. Nike signed Caitlin to their biggest women’s basketball contract in history. Much bigger than what A’ja got. The weird thing about that is no one has reported the amount. Reports just go on and on about how she has a signature shoe deal which Caitlin also has. We don’t even know for sure how much Caitlin’s Nike deal is actually worth. A number was reported but not by Nike officially. It could be wrong in either direction. We really know so much less than we think we know. Caitlin keeps her mouth shut but she’s making significantly more money overall than any WNBA player in history. And she’s 22 years old. I still think Nike have a plan for her and I’m assuming they will come out hard with CC product sometime next year around the start of the WNBA season.
Question. Why is everybody upset with Nike. I remember a lot of people saying they were boycotting Nike after the Colin Kaepernick fiasco. But now those same people are crying because they cant get a "NIKE" CC shoe. The hypocrisy is hilarious. Lol
@@markyg236 so you boycotted Colin? Pretty sure I've seen people burning their Nike's(dumb ). Nike and Colin still got paid. People specifically said I'll never buy Nike again yet those same people are on here crying because they can't get a Nike product. I don't care if you like him or not. They said no more Nike! Bunch of 🤡 🤡 🤡. It's that simple. You dig?
What about the Nike shareholders? Do you think they might have something to say to Nike about their mismanagement and letting an opportunity to provide them a return for their investment? To me, (I can be completely wrong), Nike did not want anyone else to have CC, so they have blocked their competitors by signing her. It appears this was their whole strategy to limit competitors growth.
Yes, Caitlin will be fine and is getting rich anyway, but I feel bad for her in this way: Here she is, a really nice person who does so much for others and has brought so much money and attention to her sport, yet she has been treated with hostility or scorn by so many fellow basketball players, media types, and her very largest sponsor. It's perverse, it's ugly, and it's lunacy of the first order. Thankfully Caitlin is a smart and strong young woman who knows how to rise above. The only place they can really get to her is on the court, where she has taken a beating, but she's proved herself stronger than them all.
What does fumble mean from their perspective. They have her locked in for low and can have a roll out starting 2025 and sell out of everything. And they can keep the eyes on everyone else. They release other items and get free promo by CC fans. I would have no clue about Aja or Paige items elsewhere.
You have to strike while the iron is hot. They could sell anything and everything that they could have produced before Christmas and at jacked up prices compared to Aja/Paige stuff. Two years from now who knows what consumers will want. Their ineptitude is truly mind-boggling.
If they don't have a shoe ready for the start of next season, and annually thereafter, it would be the biggest fumble ever by nike. They are throwing away a chance of having another extremely popular shoe line we really don't see too often. Yeah athletes get shoe deals left and right these days, but rarely do they really catch on like Jordans did. Caitlin Clark is so popular right now, her own shoe line would almost be a guaranteed hit. That is IF they put actual effort into the designs. They have a habit of signing people and giving them lazy, generic designs. Zion's first shoe for example was so predictable. Z slapped on the side, with ZW logo... just like paul george PG logo, Russel westbrook RW logo, BORING!😴
Has Nike paid Caitlin any money from the 8 year $28 million contract? What is the deliverables time line? If no money has been paid or deliverables have not been provided (shoes, merchandise, ads, TV Commercials, Social media coverage) then NIKE is in breach of contract. Then, Caitlin should have the contract voided!terminated with prejudice and then free to negotiate with another company. I say this because Nike is doing what many managers or companies do in the music industry. They sign an artist and then sit them to prevent the artist to perform. Nike is doing the same with Clark. Watch and see what happens when PAGE enters the WNBA. NIME is going full bore while leaving Caitlin to rot on the bench watching. CAITLIN get you a tough lawyer and a shark AGENT, and tell NIKE to kick ricks now. Don't wait 8 years. If you do, your prime years will be lost and you will regret not taking action immediately. You must PROTECT your name, image, and pocketbook!!!
CC is not making any money from Nike? She is making $28m over 8 years. $3.5m a year. She is making money. The question is are Nike living up to what they promised her when she signed the deal? If they promised her a percentage a every shoe sold but they are not making any effort to release a shoe then CC should have her lawyers going over the contract to look for the deal to be legally cancelled and move to adidas. Nike’s refusal to release a shoe is costing CC millions of $$$
When CC's shoe drops on the first day of the season and sells 1 million in 24 hrs what will you say then? You have no idea what her contract with NIKE is. Does she make $1 per shoe? $5, $10, $20? I can't believe you're not CC's agent. 😂
I am really interested in that contract. What does it say? If it doesn't specify when they have to put a shoe out, there really isn't much that can be done about it. Nike could thus wait until the eighth year to put the shoe out. Was this done for some nefarious reason?
What’s a better comparable? Both A’Ja and CC are great players. You can’t name an NBA legend and some dude who is barely out of G league. So he named 2 good players that both had/have good Nike deals.
Me i genuinely think CC needs to step up and voice her concerns on lack of production. She's too passive as a superstar rn i genuinely think she should be pushing them to actually do something and give the fans what they want. She needs to push the production and not just wait for them to give her ideas. For me I no longer have patience with her team and her she is too accepting of bad treatment She's not the superstar personality unfortunately if she was like Ant man and said her piece would be getting what the fans need.
Nike is doing a disservice to CC fans by denying them the ability to buy CC merch. I'm moving on to other brands.
Yep agreed. New balance got my last pair of shoes. Had to let Nike go.
Maybe Nike got her under contract to block her? They want to prioritize pushing and featuring their favorites.

Lol
That’s right they are being very disrespectful and catering to unknowns!
People don't like that guy, they do like CC. Pretty simple.
You dig?
It's not a fumble. Someone pulled strings
Being from Irelandistan you should know pandering to minorities is the most important thing. More important than money or stockholders. 😅
It would be interesting to interview Caitlin Clarks manager. Does the WNBA have an interest in keeping CC Off merch?
Do you even know how many Clark jerseys that Nike have sold You are full of BS
Can Under Armour do a buyout?
Who mismanaged C.C. more Nike or Crusty Sides or the WNBA?
Her agent
It’s a conspiracy!! Wild!!
A'ja is boring... There i said it 😅
I'm starting to think it's intentional. 🤷♂️. I just don't see how you do this if it's not on purpose
We all need to put pressure on Nike to release something good for CC
@MargueriteFahey will the price not be hot next year? They could bring a short supply and mark up the price and still win.
CC should start her own merch company! SHe could get out of that contract! Nike has fumbled to a degree, any court would stand with Clark!
I predict Paige will get a larger pro deal than CC. Then, let the festivities begin. Mick drama tube will be on overdrive.
She might, but she’s not bringing in all these fans.
Need a nike stockholder to file a derivative lawsuit - costing stockholders millions of dollars
Let’s see if CC quietly gets out of her contract. That would be her style. Sign a non disclosure and move on.
Nike’s refusal to release a shoe is costing CC millions of $$$
A guy in mom's basement kinows better than the executives at Nike.
Don't compare Aja to Tim Duncan bro. That's insulting to Tim Duncan. And yes, I know why you said it....but still....stop it.
Both Aja and Tim Duncan boring ass fuck
What’s a better comparable? Both A’Ja and CC are great players. You can’t name an NBA legend and some dude who is barely out of G league. So he named 2 good players that both had/have good Nike deals.
Insulting to Tim?? I would argue that he was the better player and teammate.
Correct, Duncan wasn't exciting, but he was class all the way.
@@MargueriteFahey That's what I meant. It's insulting to Tim. It's not even an argument. Aja is trash compared to Tim.
They need to stop trying to make Fetch happen. It's not gonna happen.
Can she not get out of the contract with Nike?
Me i genuinely think CC needs to step up and voice her concerns on lack of production. She's too passive as a superstar rn i genuinely think she should be pushing them to actually do something and give the fans what they want. She needs to push the production and not just wait for them to give her ideas. For me I no longer have patience with her team and her she is too accepting of bad treatment She's not the superstar personality unfortunately if she was like Ant man and said her piece would be getting what the fans need.
