Sold! Clytemnestra is one of my favorites. I’m getting quite overwhelmed with the amount of retellings out there, so I really appreciate your efforts to help us find the ones that are really worth it. (Still waiting for a Hypsipyle retelling, tho).
Speaking of other Clytemnestra retellings there is a book which will come out next month called Clytemnestra's Bind by a different author part of the trilogy of The House Of Atreus which is three books
I was so hoping you'd speak to Costanza! I'm currently reading Clytemnestra and it is amazing thus far. one of my favorite (if not my favorite) mythological women!
Oh, I adored this novel! Loved that we finally get Clytemnestra’s first husband and son and she’s not portrayed as this cartoonish villain but we understand why she did what she did.
Me too!!! I just finished reading this book and I kid you not I felt so connected to Clytemnestra, he mother, her brothers and sisters, her first husband, her lover, the people she has interacted, her children, etc. While reading the book I felt all the passion and rage from Clytemnestra's point of view and I love every moment of it. I do believe one of these days if Clytemnestra becomes a movie I would absolutely watch it!!
This book is soooooo good!!! Definitely my favorite in the genre of retellings of Greek Myth. Her backstory as a Spartan princess was really interesting. (Clytemnestra is a grappler, and I do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu so she is now one of my top women heroines of Greek Myth, lol). Really looking forward to Ms. Casati’s next novel!
I already have this book however it 'was' pretty far down the stack of to be read. Well, that has changed, I just went in and found it and moved it to my nightstand..... guess what tonight I get to start it ! Thank you both so much for this. I happen to love Clytemnestra also !!!
This book is amazing. Really looking forward to reading more from this author. New favourite autor for sure!

Enjoyed this conversation with Constanza Casati, Clytemnestra is such a great book with some of the most beautiful writing, it doesn't disappoint.
Thanks for watching 💗

The fact Costanza’s next book ISN’T Greek mythology is both totally exciting and deeply upsetting at the same time 😅

Tilemahos WOULD NEVER SPEAK LIKE THAT to his mother! 😂
Skeptical Hippo in the House
Out of all the men in this novel, I feel like Odysseus was honestly the worst of them all!
👀
This book has made me hate Odysseus lol
