What a lucky girl Gabby is to have you for a dad!! My dad left when I was five. I have great memories of him taking me to the library, though, and I love books!!
lol.. you may have got that Tonka firetruck for $10 if you hadn't told her "it's an old one and they don't make them in steel anymore" I think she upped the price on you after you said that. Sometimes the less said at a yard sale the better.
@@susiejakes3019 But that's the sad story of this hunters... you just scam te people doing that, even if you don't think like this. There are a lot of people who are selling their things or their children things... and a lot of resellers just profit off their missing knowledge... doing absurd lowball prices... if you buy something with 10 and sell for 100 it's a good deal... you don't need to push it to 5$... like a "smart ass" wanna be reseller. And if you do that, have the decency to shut up and don't brag about that. That's why Dave is a nice guy and a very different picker ... because he never do things like that.
@@fabulousfinds1045 But doesn't brag about it... like others. 99% of the resellers do this kind of things, i'm not agains it... but don't brag about and don't negociate more when you know it's a very good price.
@@lorand-edmondiszlai9416 Dude, I've bought and sold for more years than you've probably been alive. So who's the wannabee? At yard sale it's up to the seller to know the value of the items they're selling though most of them just want get rid of their accumulated stuff at any price. Dave has to be competitive at the flea markets he sells at and on Ebay as well. Overprice an item because you paid too much for it a garage sale and it will just sit there and sit there and sit there, unsold. That truck was maybe a $30-$35.00 item in that condition at the flea markets where he sells, not a super valuable item that he'd be screwing someone on if he bought it. I'd have passed it up for 15 too. Dealers have overhead too and in the long run, only making double your money on small ticket items doesn't cut it for very long. You'll soon be overspent and out of business, unless you're doing it simply for a hobby.
That was a very wonderful tribute to Bret. You did a great job. Those people who are cruel, just block them. You know God said everything you do will come back to you. So forget them. Hold your head up and know you are not alone. Bret is with you in your heart and God has your back. I know you are strong because it never showed in your videos what you were going through. I will be praying for you. I love to watch you. And I always love your closing. GOD BLESS YOU.
Great finds! I can never get over how many fantastic FREE things you get to take home. It sure pays to live where you live. I love the painting of the lady in the fine frame.
Enjoy your videos at times when I have been under quarantine for example this last month because of the delta virus, I have lived vicariously through you. Lol thank you
Hi Dave and Gabi !! ... I clicked the like button .. only because you didn't have a love love love it button !!! ... feel like I've been out and about today !!! .... thank you !!!!!!!
That Signed Trifari Alfred Philippe Gold Pave And Pearls Flying Butterfly Pin sold for 160+shipping on ebay and you can test the gamecube games with the wii it's compatible with those games. Double dash is around 60. Great finds.
Another home run, Dave. Lots of unusual treasures and some gold also, you really stepped up to the plate this time. Video games and painting are bonus scores by themselves. Awesome video.
Technicolor dandruff lmbo seriously that was hilarious! Im picturing a toddler with a bowl of fruity pebbles dumped over their head! That was pure gold!
Hi Dave. The large black handled scissors are " sail maker" scissors. My grandfather was a sail maker in the late 30's before WWII. I have his scissors and the leather holster they were kept in. Nice find.
Two in a row BBD, loved it. Did I hear you say I’ve been scrapping some? My favorite! Probably do more of that when everything else isn’t an option. Thanks for taking us along. Be well!
I ❤️ town yard sales always find lots of treasures. I can't wait for this Saturday my town is having their Town Wide sale hopefully we have a good weather.
I wish people would put prices on their items, rather than make a decision, when someone asks the price. I can't believe, that ring, wasn't in a box. I love how your daughter shops. I have to admit, my heart took a beat, when I realized her name is GABBY. Just watched the Gabby Petito case, so a little sadness. as I see your beautiful daughter, and thought of GP. Great jewelry and very nice items. Gabby has grown a lot!! They were high.$20 for the leather jacket at a yard sale. Sometimes people just sell too high and when they think the buyer has money, they up the price. They were hurt, that Gabby, said she had the hair accessory, they wanted to give it to her. They gave a lot of free things. I collect bells,so would have definitely got the bell, but wouid have tried to bargain for less and made a lot. I bet that honey is delicious.
Love your picks at the garage sales. By the way, you can get the coins out of the bank by putting a knife in the slot, getting the coin to sit on top of the knife and pulling the knife out with the coin on it.
I try hard to be the same kind of picker...fair and kind...I love how your kids like to be involved too. One of mine likes to merchandise my shop but doesn't care for picking.
Suzanne Valadon (23 September 1865 - 7 April 1938) was a French painter and artists' model who was born Marie-Clémentine Valadon at Bessines-sur-Gartempe, Haute-Vienne, France. In 1894, Valadon became the first woman painter admitted to the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. She was also the mother of painter Maurice Utrillo.
As a kid we used to get coins out of our piggy banks by putting a very thin knife in the slot and upside-down shake it. When the coin hits the knife correctly , the coins slides out. Maybe the coin will be worth something.
Killer video game score, BBD! Check to see if those receivers plugged into the Wii's controller ports say "Nintendo GameCube" on them. If they do, they go to wireless Wavebird controllers and sell for $35+ each just for the receivers.
The oriental bowl was pretty. I liked some of that furniture at the second place. Really nice picture and frame. Cute little pig. What would you have done if the cat had said “hi” back to you? That was a lovely re-enactors gown. There was an old key on the table with Gaby’s earrings . Lovely cobalt shakers. Gosh, those dishes for free was a sweet deal. I like the red rug you had there.
She raised the price of the truck by $5 when Dave said that they no longer make them in metal. Just don't say anything to the seller. Pay the price the seller asks for. She felt it was more valuable when he commented on it. Then she lost the sale but she feels that she has a gold mine in that truck.
I scored big on Saturday but there were a grand total of THREE sales to hit. . Passed up on some porcelains that may have been antique Vietnamese, but scored anyway. The lady painting is an enhanced photograph. Nice frame. 28:55 Definitely not Tiffany. It looks like Dave scored big on the free stuff. That Crown Devon set used to be worth a mint. Now?
Miss you and Linsay. Kids too. When you going to start filming again? You were the first reseller I ever watched. Its been since your Blue,Bus days.
The one thing I love about Gabby is she loves to shop, she has followed in her dad's footsteps, she has grown so big and beautiful ❤️
Would like to see some scraping videos.
...good one, keep safe and have a great week...
Fast and furious yardsaleing!!! !ots of great stuff..my fa orite, the oil painting!!
You and Gabby are a team yall rock. That girl is a awesome picker

Dave, grab as much building supplies as you can. We couldn't even find any wooden fence panels because of the supply chain being broken...
Love the dolphins, wood box, the dye bag Gabby bought, the pins, the butterfly brooch and the pinic basket the, dishes are in.
Another really good video Dave!
Thanks!

When they quote a price & then raise it, I'm out of there without purchasing anything. It is just plain wrong to up the charge.
