Bad Boy MZ Magnum mower. Adjusting the steering linkage to make it more reactive. Goes from foward to reverse with less movement of the sticks. Also it made it go a little faster which doesn't matter much to me but it may to someone.

Quick question, if you know what is the spring on the linkage box pointing towards the back of the mower and what does adjusting it do? I have been looking all over and cant find any info.

One spring is for tension pushing forward and back the other spring is for tension for pulling the handles in and pushing them out

Look at the front of your control arm as you pull it all the way forward and you will see it hits a stud with a nut on it, break those nuts loose a slide them down to the lowest position

If you look to the right of that big bolt with the spring behind it you’ll see like 4 holes that the steering lever is attached to

@@RyTheFlyGuy00thank you for this comment! I could not figure out what was wrong with my mower and I had that bolt lose and after I tightened it it went twice as fast! Thank you!!
