That kiss is the best thing ever. It's so awkward and nervous, I love it. I always kind of felt that a lot of costume drama kisses are hyper romantic and perfect, but this one is so genuine and adorable. Not that I wouldn't be swooning left and right if JJ Feild's Mr. Tilney proposed like that to me, but it's just so real and innocent.

I love how he looks at Katherine's mom when he ask permission to have her show him the way to the Allen's house. His eyes saying, I want to be alone and make the offer. Great!
Henry Tilney has officially joined (in my opinion) the ranks of great Austen men alongside Colonel Brandon, Captain Wentworth, Mr. Knightley and of course Mr. Darcy. This was amazing, beautiful and adorable! Thank you so much!
This is one of my favorites- behind Pride and Prejudice. I love P&P for the mistakes and misunderstandings that turn to love, and complications, twists and turns. This I love for it's innocence and simplicity of young love. If I can ever write a novel Jane Austin as enjoyable as I find hers and these movies, I would live a life fulfilled!
While noting that most of the commentators are not of my gender, I feel bound to comment that I love this adaptation of the book and that I can watch the ending many times in a row. I feel engaged with the characters and am impressed by Felicity Jones' obvious emotion. (I hope she brings as much to the new Star Wars movie!)

But you have to admit that the kissing scene is adorable. Even though she and Henry are completely enchanted with each other, Catherine is so sheltered and innocent that she doesn't even know where the noses and hands go. When they end up crashing into the gardening shed while trying to make out, you just have to smile.
everyone loves Mr Darcy but I beg to differ. Darcy is too awkward for me. my favourite Austen men is Henry Tilney. he is charming, friendly and know his muslins. if there is a man like that in today's time people would mistake him for gay or metrosexual
Northanger Abber was always destined for Frederick since he is the oldest. And I don't think Eleanor ever broke from her father because she still waited until her beloved somehow got family and fortune until she married him, and she hadn't married him because her father disapproved. So she didn't marry him until her father approved.
Mr Tilney broke from his father, thus jeopardizing patronage, for honor and the love of a lady. Most swoon-worthy hero

I love how they can't figure out what to do with their hands before the kiss. They are both perfect in this scene.

I liked it but felt like the ending was sort of rushed. They didn't even get to the abbey until 3/4s into the movie
I suppose after Henry broke from their father Eleanor did as well so Northanger Abbey must have passed on to Frederick
