I found that the LCD underneath the front glass cracks. IMO its best to change the complete screen with LCD etc. Makes for a cleaner job and less chance of a comeback. Anyhoo. All the best. 😊

Hello Prak I cleaned off a digitizer and cleaned off the lcd. It tested before I used the orange glo. Then after I scraped it and used the windex and alcohol the digitizer doesn't work. If I hold the lcd to the light I see some hair line cracks. Is the digitizer cracked for good? Would the uv bonding agent fix the digitizer in the end? If not how do you tell whether an lcd is not cracked underneath the digitizer to begin with?

you dont even need a heat gun just use your pry tool form the tool kit but pry up the glass gently be careful so you dont damage the lcd you dont even have to take the whole thing apart trust me i know i fix ipods n iphones alot hope this hlps your welcome from the mad scientist
Good tutorial, but I don't think it'll ever be worth the trouble. Especially for DIY fans, replacing the full screen assembly glass/LCD digitizer is so much easier and not so expensive as to warrant all this extra work.
After removing front glass touch worked for me but after removing oca glue i tested it and touch didnt worked. Just was responding to some places as pressed itself. Is that normal? Same happened with two lcd's. I definitely didnt damaged or scratched glass under glue. I didnt tried to apply oca glue yet because im waiting for autoclave

friend I have a query that give, possess a machine to remove the glass screen on iphone 4, on several occasions the screen goes in perfect condition but what I try the screen to see if it works the touch part does not work stop function. My question or question is Sera that the machine is too hot or too long expose the screen in it? that more or less think that might be happening in this case I have some past 5 screens iphone 4 only the iphone 5 are perfect without problems but take the way of removing them do them with a razor, thanks I hope can help me clear this doubt
This is probably a dumb question but can this be done without disassembling the phone? Can you leave the phone together and replace glass or do you need to take it out
You probably can do that on a black iPhone he used more heat on the white one so it would work better. He didn't even do 15 seconds for the black one, and like 30-60 seconds for the white one.
i never knew that the LCD display would work on touch, without the glass screen being the touch digitizer. wow i learned something new.

Just separated a black screen after watching your video. Used hot iron and pcb solvent. Took off the glass and the the digitizer.
Digitizer is arriving soon, and this guide made me confident i can do this, i have all the tools so wish me luck =P

Thats because there is more cracks on the white screen than the black screen

Vas El use plastic game card to do the trick and then you will have no cracks on lcd
the BLACK one does work, use dry ice to separate it. It is the same manufacturer.
