I have this unit and im looking for a way to place a timer on it so the fog can be triggered in set intervals. Any help would be appreciated

David, do you find this unit is pretty much always ready to go, or are there times when it might hit a heating cycle and not trigger? That's my only hesitancy about grabbing one of these types of foggers is that I'd need to ensure it's going to blast immediately when it receives a DMX signal or it just sort of defeats the purpose.

Like any fog machine, if you run it long enough, it will need to reheat. That being said, it's very consistent in how long it can run before it needs to reheat. The biggest thing is to test it and know about how long it can run before reheating (i.e. this one can go for about 15 seconds straight and then needs a minute or 2. But, if you keep it to short bursts, you can typically avoid having to wait for it to reheat)

The only one we would recommend in that range is the Chauvet Geyser T6: www.learnstagelightinggear.com/products/geyser-t6 The Fog Fury Jett is significantly nicer/bigger/better built, but the Chauvet one is decent and really inexpensive.

a few points of contention: these things are horrible. they do clog and they clog a lot. the solenoid will fail eventually.. happened on multiple units. it's just not made to last. if you have more than one and you like the effect of having more than one triggered at the same time.. to have multiple plumes go off at the same time. it's a great effect. it'll last you may be a couple events, but then when you trigger them you'll notice the plumes we'll start to be different sizes some will last a good 15 seconds while another one might cut off after 7...
Just a bunch of bad info in this video. save yourself some grief and lots of money in maintenance costs and do not get this unit
