Ive had my OnePlus open since launch . And i couldnt be happier. What an amazing device. Ive never had a pixel phone so cant comment there but the open has blown me away with its weight cameras charging screen quality/ size and multitasking. Great vid btw👍👍
No need to switch from the OnePlus Open. Sounds like you've had a great experience, and I'm glad to hear that. These newer foldables don't really have anything on it. The OnePlus has faster charging and even faster hard drive along with better camera hardware. So once the AI features come into play, those cameras are really going to start to stand out. 👍
@@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 I couldn't agree more. Depending on what upgrades they make to open 2 if any then I will just stick with this as like I said before it's a fantastic device 👍👍
It's weird. There's times where I'm using the OnePlus open and I miss miss the nine pro fold's smarts, pixel exclusive features and using my pixel watch as a viewfinder for photography. Then there's times where i miss the open for its super fast charging, speed, power, open canvas and its camera. I feel you can't really miss with either but daily driving both of them makes me wish they could fusion dance into the perfect foldable. Great vid. New sub!
@RUclipsGenius As of today, I'm leaning more towards the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. You're going to be the first to hear this. I opened up my OnePlus Open today and there's a dead pixel right in the center of the screen. This is the third OnePlus Open I've had now with screen issues. I'm going to truly put OnePlus warranty to the test now. I just don't know whether I should go for a full refund and a different phone or try a fourth time. As the saying goes though, strike 3. It's bright red and sticks out like a sore thumb. 👎
I had the Fold 6 and returned it to get the Open. Open canvas is such a huge draw for me. I regularly find myself in situations where I have a 3rd app open and sometimes (though more rarely) a 4th. A lot of people won't need that, but I really do love the flexibility and the super fast charging makes the battery life almost pointless. I've used it naked (no case) for months and it's been really great. Thinking about picking up Allstate insurance, just in case, but I'm excited to see what they do with the sequel! I'd also be happy to keep this until the software support runs out, as well. There's horror stories with all the foldable brands, so I personally don't think it's much of a factor, when they all kinda suck in some way. Insurance is wise with any of them, especially once you near the end of your warranty. For what it's worth, my experience buying and returning the Fold 6 was a nightmare, so Samsung isn't a silver bullet either, unfortunately. They royally screwed the pooch with my pickup at a Best Buy and it took them weeks to fix a bug in their system, so I could actually use/manage my Samsung care+. Their reps are particularly annoying to interact with. Script reading to the point where they ignore almost everything you ask them, if it's not a direct anwser/question to something they've said. The whole experience made me not even want the phone anymore.
I agree with everything you said. Sorry Sammy was being a pill. When these companies out-source their support, the service always suffers. I highly recommend the Allstate insurance. It's less than $100 and helps me sleep at night. 😉 Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate your support! 👍
I have the original Pixel Fold I'm running Android 15 love too. I broke mine after a year got insurance but the warranty covered it they sent my back in July another one brand new in days then sent to broken one back they hold a deposit when you do that about five days. But got the new one in 3 days. Love it.
I've had my open since about launch as well and had no issues, I've dropped it on concrete which only gave a small dent on one of the sides, dropped it at home on hardwood countless times and it's held up for about a year. I've enjoyed my time with it so far coming from the zfold 4 the cameras were noticeably better on the open, I'd only keep 1 out of 10 pictures on the fold but keep 8 out of 10 on the open. I take alot of photos of my kids 😊 the AI features you are talking about are all coming on the next update.
Thank you for sharing. I really enjoy hearing all the good stuff about the OnePlus Open. It's refreshing to know that you can get by without any issues. I'm looking forward to the update as well. Hopefully it will come with all the special AI features. That would jump it up to the top of the list for sure. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate you being part of the community. 👍
I'm loving the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. I barely use the Z Fold 6 anymore despite it's more flexible multitasking features. I find that I don't really use more than 2 apps at a time on phones because they are smaller than tablets. Now when it comes to tablets - nothing beats the Samsung Galaxy S9 Ultra for me. Using 3 or more apps makes much more sense on there. Google did a great job this year and made a big leap from their original fold.
@abrahamroberts2040 wow you have two folds? I agree.. love my tab 9 ultra. I had a tab eight plus and I was concerned that maybe it would be too big but I just love it. And having the keyboard that goes with it that has backlighting is an extra treat.
@@dorothy135 yes, I had the Z Fold 6 first which is a great phone but I hate the cover display. I played with the Pixel 9 pro fold in the store and just had to have it. LOL
@@abrahamroberts2040 i hear you on that. I held it the other day. I had stopped into a T-Mobile store. Even though I don't have a plan with them. And the guy there happened to have his own personal pixel, and it was amazing as compared to the six. So far, if I were to get one, it would be between the pixel and the one plus. I love Samsung. I just wish they would have done the right thing by their fold line.
I have both devices as well. I really enjoy the OnePlus Open. It is such a great phone. I prefer the OnePlus Open SW and device but I have had a repair issue in the past and just bought Pixel 9 Pro Fold but still prefer OPO.
Yes, I really enjoyed the OnePlus Open too. The only downfall was the service issues. I have to say I'm really enjoying the Pixel 9 Pro Fold as well. For me, it was a great replacement for the OnePlus Open while it was gone. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate your support. 👍
Mr. G.O.T., as always a very informative and "to the point" review, none of this "blah blah blah". I've had my OnePlus open for a year now, no issues at all (thank god). I love the fast charging (67 watts) on the OnePlus open and that beats the measly 25 w on the pixel fold 2. Waiting to see the OnePlus open 2 and how they're going to improve it. (Hopefully they have a stylus available for it!) It will be interesting to see if you stick with your new pixel fold or if you go back to the OnePlus open. Have a great weekend 😁
Thank you for your kind words. I just don't have time for "blah blah blah". 😂 I don't have an issue with charging because all the devices last a full day for me and charge fully while I sleep. What does bother me is the wireless coils on the Pixel are too low and most of the chargers won't charge it and I have to be careful of the placement or it won't charge. Most of the time I just plug it in next to the OnePlus. I'm looking forward the Open 2 as well. The message was done on the OnePlus open. I can't wait to get a grammar check on the OnePlus open cuz that's the one frustrating thing about using it. 🫤
Hey thanks for sharing.... Im trying to decide which one I want to keep now. I have BOTH phones in front of me. They are BOTH really nice. I love a lot of things on both phones. The OnePlus has a beautiful phone especially with that camera bump that is a thing of beauty BUT its BIG and may bother some buyers. Fingers have to rest a little lower on the back of the phone when holding. The One Plus' cameras are a few steps ahead of the Pixel in my experience. The bigger sensor brings in more light and this makes the pictures brighter and better exposed. The selfie camera on the Open is noticeably better. BOTH GREAT phones.....thedecision is really gonna come down to the user. What features will the user prioritize? You mentioned AI which is a BIG selling point of the Pixel and customers may prefer having that as opossed to the One Plus which isnt set up with that yet. In terms of camera weight and feel... The Pixel has a mat lighter finish and feel....The One Plus is glass and heavier. So if you prefer a glass feel in the hand and like your phones to feel a bit heavier you wanna feel the One Plus in hand. I also think screen brightness and resolution are better on the One Plus...
I'll throw this in the mix. The OnePlus Oxygen OS is due to be released next week. It should come with the AI we've been waiting for. I believe if you recheck the specs you'll find that the OnePlus is lighter than the Pixel. In my experience the Pixel 9 fold has better photo processing which may change once the OnePlus is updated. LOL, I know I'm not making the decision any easier. If you planned on checking out the OnePlus Open Gen 2, you'll get a better trade in with the Open. Good luck on making the best call for you. Thanks for watching and commenting. I checked out your channel. Great content, now I feel like I need a new jacket. 😉 I ride a modified RadWagon E-Bike. I made it a two seater so my wife or grandkids can tag along. What is yours, looks more like an electric motorcycle. 👍👍
It appears OnePlus is making some effort with AI assisted writing. I wonder if their AI will improve the photo processing to really match the lens quality on the phone? Thanks for this video. I love the insight and real-world testing.
Yes, I was shocked when I was making the B Roll video on the OnePlus and saw it had the email rewrite feature. I'm going to make use of it at work this week to test how it does. I'll reveal all in my head to head battle between the folds. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. 👍
Well talk about timeliness. I've posted to your channel before.I have an s twenty four ultra, and I would like to get a fold. Even with fabulous tradings, I just can't pull the trigger for the samsung because of the narrow cover display and the battery charging time. I was seriously in love with the pixel fold. When I got my hands on it yesterday. But the lack of an s, pen, the charging business made me kind of pause. I actually started thinking about the oneplus open and the upcoming oneplus, open two. And then your video popped up. 😂
Well, my response is twofold. Firstly I'm glad I was able to provide you some information to make a wise choice. Secondly, the OnePlus open is an awesome phone and apparently they have a stylist you can purchase for it but I find myself not using a stylus much even with the z-fold six. I am looking forward to seeing the OnePlus Open Second edition to see if they do make some improvements especially on the stability of the screen. I'm pleased I was able to help but I'm also disappointed that you're not able to get the opportunity to see how well done the OnePlus open actually is other than that one "Minor" defect. 😂 Thank you for coming back and sharing once more I appreciate your support. 👍
@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 i haven't completely given up. I too. Will eagerly wait for the second version of the oneplus open. Since I don't know how soon it's gonna come out, I don't want to pull the trigger and get it. I think as far as warranty goes if I got it through best buy, I could use their warranty and that might remove oneplus from that equation.
I like the idea of a foldable but I think it’s a good idea to wait until software is more optimized. Not to mention the price. Have you had any issues with the pixel in software or hardware aspects? I’ve heard people on Reddit saying they’ve had issues with the inner screen touching when closed causing spots/ bubbles on the inner screen? Also what’s the durability like with extreme temperature fluctuations? I live in the Midwest and it’s either ridiculously hot/ humid or freezing cold. Would the aspect of going in and out of those conditions cause screen damage for such a fragile device? I can upgrade next year so might just hold out for the pixel fold 3.
Thank you for all your questions. I believe the software is optimized really well. The price is only going up, but if you pick one up that's 6 months out or longer you can save a few hundred. I haven't had any issues with the Pixel so I'm liking it a lot. I keep mine in a case so I don't feel any heat and I haven't received any heat warnings. I think the Pixel 9 Pro Fold feels very solid like the Z Fold 6. It's heavier but feels solid. I agree the 3rd version will be even better. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! 👍
Do specs mean anything anymore? That's crazy the Pixel is keeping up. Of course when you look at the iPhones with their low RAM and Camera specs it's hard to imagine why they perform as well as they do. Maybe Pixel has discovered the secret sauce.
I'm thinking the same way. The specs on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold seem to be so underrated and they perform a whole lot better than what the specs say, so it is suspicious. The Pixel is holding back on us and overperforming. I think that's a great surprise. 👍
Processors and software optimization are so good now that processors, even if behind by a couple of years, can feel as fast as the fastest. However, when the heavy tasks and games come out, Google's Tensor G4 tends to fall apart a bit.
So with the first one, you went through all state, and they didn't charge you a deductible and just gave you a refund for the price of the phone? The second one you didn't purchase insurance on and decided to use the one plus warranty service or you had purchased that service? Were there deductibles with that. I only had one experience with having to return a phone, and it was a Samsung Note. Ultra, and it was a nightmare, and there was a big deductible. I finally got them to cut a check for me. Because the replacement they sent me was also damaged. But it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. And so I'm wondering if you were to advise somebody with a OnePlus with regard to insurance, what would you recommend? I hope I'm clear on that.I feel like I said a lot😂
Your questions were actually very clear-thank you for the opportunity to clarify. For the first phone, I purchased it on eBay with insurance included. Filing the claim was straightforward; there was no deductible, and once I sent the phone in, they simply sent me the money. With that, I went ahead and bought a second phone, also from eBay. This one didn’t come with insurance, so I decided to go with Allstate since it had worked so well the first time. When the second phone cracked, I thought I'd try out the manufacturer’s service to see how it compared. In both cases, I didn’t have to pay a deductible, nor was I asked for one. The experience was good overall, though a bit lengthy. In the end, I was thrilled to receive a brand-new, boxed OnePlus Open. Would I recommend this route? I think so. Any service will have some challenges, especially if you need to mail in your device, like I do. If you’re near a service center, it could be a different story, and you might be able to walk in for repairs, as you can with some Samsung locations. I hope this clears things up! Thanks again for being part of the community.👍
@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 thank you, that was very helpful. My experience with that one phone, a Samsung note 20 ultra, that I actually paid by the month at AT&T (which I almost never do I always have unlocked) was because I had to deal with asurion and the deductible was really high and the customer service was abysmal. And I also had the note in mystic bronze, which I loved, and they only had black refurb. I was returning it because I got screen burning and ironically, the second phone they sent me as a replacement, had screen issues as well. That's why I clamored for a check. And I then took that check, and I went to best buy and I bought myself a mystic bronze note. I would have to say all things considered that was my favorite phone. In light of the upcoming AI and the fact that I was gonna no longer receive updates etc. I decided to upgrade it, thinking let me trade it in before the trade in value goes down too much, and I got an s twenty three ultra. It turns out the trade in value did not change all that much. The following years, so that was just a miscalculation on that. I don't know why but I never bonded with that phone. So I upgraded it for an s twenty four ultra. I like that phone, and that's what I currently have. But I have an itch to try a fold. I wish the Samsung Fold 6 was good for me. Because I could get it with the trade in for like four hundred and seventy dollars. But so far, the oneplus open and the new pixel folds are so much nicer for me. The stylus being an exception and like you said, oneplus has one that I could work with. I was very impressed with the pixel. Feel in hand was really nice. So thank you again for your informative videos and your informative responses about the insurance. Those insurance deductibles really can be quite substantial, and it's very upsetting to take a phone that is otherwise in pristine condition, send it in and get a refurbished phone back.
That is very cool to hear. In all the time I've been making videos, you are the first to mention it. It's also taken me a long time to get it to look as natural as it does. It's still not perfect as my lighting and camera equipment is still very amateurish. None the less, I take it as a compliment and appreciate you noticing. I hope the content was equally captivating. 🤣 Thanks for watching, I truly appreciate your comment and support. 👍👍
I had the same issue with my oneplus open getting it fixed. It took over a month of me complaining several times and taking it to BBB. After a month later, One Plus sent me a brand new open. The phone is great, but customer service was sucks. One Plus originally said it would take nine days to get fixed and return back to me after I agreed to pay 500. However, they never followed through, nor did I give the 500.
I'm certainly glad you didn't have to shell out $500. One thing we have to keep in mind is that in the end OnePlus did deliver. Although we did have to continue to badger them to get it done. At least they never once denied me service or said I was out of luck. I actually purchased Allstate insurance on the second OnePlus Open and because Allstate doesn't require any information on the device. When you purchase the insurance, you can use it on any single instance with any phone. So now I'm covered as far as insurance goes with this new OnePlus Open or even my Pixel 9 Pro Fold if I need it. What I haven't checked into is if this new OnePlus Open has the full one year warranty with it? I guess I need to find out on that one. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience. It's good to know I'm not the only one out there having the issues even though it's not a good thing to have issues. Thank you for being part of the community of GOT! 👍
Thank you, and I agree. I have the Z Fold 6, too, but no issues with Samsung. I had the Google Pixel 9 pro fold but turned it back. I prefer using my ZF6 and the Open. I enjoy your videos. Keep producing them.
I used a Oppo Find N2 before I bought the Vivo X Fold3 Pro... The Vivo is an amazing device and cheaper than both the OnePlus open and the Google foldable smartphone... 👍🏼👍🏼
I took m P9PF back after about 10 days because of an incurable Blue Tooth problem. Maximum 6 foot range to me Bose head phones, terrible connection to my hearing aids, Dropping connection to my car (Phone as a Key). I tried every control in Settings/developer... nothing helped. I'm not the only one, Google it. Too bad, I REALLY liked it otherwise.
I'm sorry to hear about your Bluetooth issues. Unfortunately, it sounds like you might've gotten a dud. I know there's been bad batches of all phones at one time or another. It's always tough when it hits you. I remember getting the Note 7 and then the battery issue hit. They gave me a replacement, then had to recall it too. I use the Galaxy Buds 3 Pros and have no issues with range on my Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Are you considering another foldable?
I've come close to buying the OnePlus Open on a few occasions, however, the experiences such as yours have kept me from making the purchase. Their support is just not up to par with the likes of Samsung & Google, although there are plenty of horror stories on all sides when it come to foldable support. One main reason I've backed away from the Open is how OnePlus handles their support at time of purchase. They charge you a large lump sum up front for a maximum of two years, whereas Samsung and Google charge just a monthly amount that you can cancel anytime.
I cannot speak from experience with the other two manufacturers. I've only had issues with the OnePlus Open. Now if that tells you something in and of itself, there you go. That said, with any of the manufacturers I would have to do the warranty service through the mail anyway, so I don't know how much better they may be. Shane, Craig from another tech channel had a similar experience with his original Pixel Fold that I had with the OnePlus Open. Actually, his experience was worse because they sent his phone back to him three times, telling him it was not covered. In the end, they finally realized it was or just gave in and sent him a refurbished phone. And if you do some research, you'll find that folks have had similar experiences with Samsung. So I wouldn't be worried about the lack of support as much as the durability of the device. Again, thank you for commenting and being a part of the community! 👍
It is just a matter of unfortunate bad luck as with anything. The same thing happens with vehicles etc... I've had my OnePlus Open since it came out and not a problem at all..... Sometimes it's a matter of where something was made and where it was shipped from.... There are different manufacturing locations for many things and sometimes known problems occur from one particular place and not in others...
I really love hearing this. Thank you for sharing. I'm glad to know that the OnePlus Open is not as fragile as I have experienced. I'm hoping this newest one does a whole lot better. Thank you for sharing your experience. I really do appreciate the support. 👍
I definitely want to try the Honor Magic V3. I am concerned about its durability and of course the customer service just as I've experienced with the OnePlus One. I will wait for the price to come down a lot more and may end up giving that a try. How long have you had the V3 and do you feel comfortable with its durability compared to the other two? Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate your support. 👍
The way these devices are expensive..it honestly a rip off the way the inner screen breaks...I really want a folding screen but this issue is make me hold off for a few years till they get this right...Imagen paying this amount to baby your device and even still you can wake up and the inner screen is gone
It can definitely be a disappointment. I will say most of the foldables are pretty solid and don't have issues. They just get publicized more because they're foldables and expensive. My issue was unique and not the norm. Buy a pre-owned one and save money if you just want to try one out. They're more durable than you think. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate your thoughts! 👍
Why would i buy a one plus open if the hardware has many issues? U said it yourself..screen broke 2 x on you..costumer service sucks...i have had samsung z fold 2-6..never bought any insurance..and never had any issues.....i would go with pixel fold..of course next year...your fav fold would be the z fold 7,, as it has a 6.5 screen, and 8ninch screen .great ai, and the best software out there .also i noticed you are wearing a samsung watch ultra...how s that watch working with the pixel fold? Any issues?...in summary, i will not get the one plus open whatever nice things u said it has...but i want to know how the samsung watch ultra works with the pixel fold ..if it is able to connclect and make the software works...
Those are excellent questions that everyone should ask themselves, which is why I review and produce these videos. The OnePlus One is a great phone and has many features and reasons to purchase over the others. I'll cover that in detail in another video. That said, your reasoning is very valid. As far as the Samsung Galaxy Watch, I've used it with every foldable and it works great. You just download the Samsung compatibility app and everything works from syncing notifications to the Samsung Health app. I haven't had any issues. I like the Samsung Watch better than any of the others that I've tried. I'm very pleased that Samsung, unlike Apple, makes their watch compatible with any Android. Thank you for your questions and support. I'm glad you're part of the community here at GOT. 👍
@@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 thanks for the quick reply! Im tempted to get the google pixel fold...im waiting for the google website to turn on the samsung fold 6 trade in....i do love my samsung watch ultra and im glad it will work with the pixel..thank u!
@RandzWRX I guess cuz their release dates are too close Pixel really never puts up the trade-in for the same year foldables. I will admit, I wish a lot of the Samsung features were just an Android feature and could be found on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. However, the compromise of that small screen on that Z Fold device is just unbearable for me. Having all three phones, I immediately notice when I pick up the Z Fold 6 because of that narrow screen but the others I have to take a second glance at to make sure I'm holding the right one. 😂
I like the pixel 9 pro fold but it’s very lacking in multitasking and features. OPO has it all with and oxygen is 15 coming it’s going to make it even better with AI and more. The OPO 2 will probably knock everyone out of the box.
That makes no sense I have also seen a video on the pixel fold that broke twice and customer service didn't want to replace it at all the pixel fold isn't no better you can have this problem with any folding phone there is many people who have had the oneplus open with no issues at all including me
Should take them out in the hot sun to compare. Pixel phones can't handle the hot sun, overseat superfast. Especially if you try filming some video or taking pics.
I have not experienced that with the Pixel 9 Pro or the Pro Fold. I think the cooling chamber must be helping. Now I haven't parked them on a tripod in the Sunlight, but I wouldn't do that with any of my devices. I did have that issue with the Pixel 8 Pro even in my house recording at 4k for more than 10 minutes it would overheat.
@@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 10 minutes? You must live somewhere cold. Here in Florida my Pixel 8 Pro went to black screen filming video after about 20 seconds. It is why I did not upgrade to the Pixel Fold and went with the OnePlus Open -- which I can happily report can do what the Pixel could not - film in bright sunlight without going dark in 20 seconds or overheating in a minute. I've looked around but it looks like there are no reviewers in hot places like Florida, pity.
@OrlandoRick Yes, I'm in Oregon. The Pixel 8 Pro frustrated me when trying to record my RUclips videos. I typically record 30-45 minutes straight then edit videos from that. The Pixel 9 Pro can do it without issue and I share the screen to a 45" HD TV at the same time so I can view the image live while recording. I also use a Samsung S24 and S23 FE with no issues. The iPhone 15 Pro stops at 10 minutes. It won't record 4k beyond that, so stay away from iPhones. I've actually never tried the OnePlus Open. I'm going to have to now. 👍
@@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 The boiling point came when I drove down to Cape Canaveral to see a launch. Put my Pixel 8 Pro up (rocket is not THAT close, so you NEED the screen for aiming), and almost as quickly as I put it up it started to dim, and within 30 seconds it was black, and phone was hot. My wife, in the meantime, was filming away in her 3 year old OnePlus Mclaren like nothing. I then did my research and learned more how the Snapdragon CPUs don't have the same overheating problem as the Pixel CPUs. That made the decide on ordering the OnePlus Open vs the Pixel Fold 2.
@Orlando I totally get that. I would not want to take a chance on missing an opportunity like that a second time because of a poorly designed phone. There's absolutely a lot of things to love about the OnePlus Open. I may have to start looking into reviewing some of their bar phones as well. The only experience that I have that can relate to yours is taking a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland with my grandkids and my phone battery life dying after the first hour. That was actually the Microsoft Surface Duo 2. Fortunately in my case I did have a portable charging pack with me, but I still had to wait for the phone to charge before I could use it again, so there was a lot that I did miss out on.
OnePlus poor customer service is the biggest thing stopping me from buying the OnePlus Open. All the horror stories, including your, mentions weeks and months or waiting. Also OnePlus try their best to find a way to void the warranty.
I agree it took a little bit too long for them to actually just send me a new phone. They never did threaten not to cover it, so I'm impressed by that. If you have the OnePlus as a secondary phone then it's not so risky because you can take the time to wait for repair if you need it. I really honestly don't know how different it is from other manufacturers because I'm sure there are horror stories from all of them. I actually worked for Apple for five years and I know they did everything they could to prevent fixing a customer's broken phone, especially if it was under warranty. They wanted to blame it on the customer. That's the biggest reason why I left them and I no longer carry an iPhone on the daily. Thank you for tuning in to the channel. I appreciate your comment and support.👍
@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 I've heard horror stories for some of the Galaxy Folds and the first Pixel Fold as well. These companies try their best to not honor the warranty. But with OnePlus, these seem to drag their feet a lot longer. Samsung and Google will get the phone and tell you "no, we saw light scratches, we can't cover it" within a day or two of receiving the phone. OnePlus seems to ghost the customer and never look at any devices for a minimum of 1 week after receiving it. I would have to trade my OnePlus11 for a OnePlus Open 2. If it breaks I would have to downgrade to my Pixel 3. I don't want to have to downgrade to a Pixel 3 for 3-6 weeks.
That's definitely a strong take! I welcome all perspectives here and would love to hear more about your experience and what shaped your opinion. Thanks for tuning in to the channel-I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts! 👍
@@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 so my issue with the OnePlus is lack of support. While it definitely has some good things going for it, Oxygen OS just isn't great. I love the charging, and the feel, but the support isn't there for the phone or software. Google Tensor chip isn't great, we know this, battery life is subpar, I'm not sure what they are doing with the Easter cover space. The durability is terrible as we seen in Jerryrigeveryrhing. I use a Samsung Fold because as a total package it's better than both, but also has its own shortcomings that hopefully will be remedied with the 7, and based on what we are seeing from the Fold SE and Samsung new chip, no reason to think they won't be.

Love it.
That's a great experience, thank you for sharing. I love hearing good experiences with warranty services as well as Google backing their product. 👍
@@abrahamroberts2040 as much as I loved the boxy shape of the S24 ultra. I didn't like the same shape on the fold.
@@abrahamroberts2040 do you miss the s pen?
I have both devices as well. I really enjoy the OnePlus Open. It is such a great phone. I prefer the OnePlus Open SW and device but I have had a repair issue in the past and just bought Pixel 9 Pro Fold but still prefer OPO.
Yes, I really enjoyed the OnePlus Open too. The only downfall was the service issues. I have to say I'm really enjoying the Pixel 9 Pro Fold as well. For me, it was a great replacement for the OnePlus Open while it was gone. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate your support. 👍
No problem and I am currently still using my OPO as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold rests until it is called upon again.
Oxygen OS 15 has all the Google style Ai Including circle to search
I saw that. It looks good. Hopefully it will drop before next year. I'm looking forward to it! 👍
I spent the first eight minutes of the video staring at your background trying to figure out if it was green screen or something 😂
Where did you get the X Fold 3? Are you in the US?
Loved both of those phones, but sold them both to get the Honor Magic v3 (global) and is my favorite
That one is not the best especially cameras I would get the vivo x fold 3 pro instead way way better cameras
Prefer the honor magic V3
Still gotta try one. 👍
The Open also has AI Summary and AI Speak.
I have not found that or experienced it. Thank you for sharing. I'll have to check into that a little deeper.
I love plus plus seveness

I use it all the time. 👍
@@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 much better
The both suck, so yes, don't get fooled!
