I just finished season 2 super good. Yeah I agree I don't think a child should know every single detail about there parent it's not like Georgia's childhood was a secret since she never brought it up cuz she hates talking about it ginny says she's horrible but she always talks about how they were poor yet Georgia made it work did the best to keep em happy kinda ungrateful

Georgia intentionally hid a ton of her past from Ginny thinking it’d protect her, but by the time of season 1 Ginny was way too old and skeptical to be kept in the dark. Their relationship grew a lot in season 2 as Ginny matured and Georgia came clean
She’s still very young, and considering how many times Georgia lied to her , and kept secrets from her…..it doesn’t matter that Georgia was trying to protect her, parents always teach their children to never lie to them, and never keep secrets from them…..that rule also applies to parents, especially when the parents or parent is raising their child in an environment that might not be the healthiest, and safest. In Georgia’s case….constantly moving and starting over, Ginny never got to just experience a real childhood, and enjoy it because she was on the move so much. Children should experience their childhood, having fun, and growing up because they don’t stay young forever……So maybe if Georgia had been 100% honest with Ginny when she was younger, and allowed her to be a child and grow up normally….they wouldn’t have had so many issues, and Ginny wouldn’t have acted so much like Georgia because children are in fact an extension of their parents, and will almost always act and do the same things that they see their parents do, because that’s what they’re being taught in the environment that they’re being raised in. It’s kind of hard to understand your parents when and if they always lie to you, and hide secrets from you.

My mom had me young and this reminds me so much of us. I just wish Ginny wasn’t so awful in the show. Very hard to watch for me and couldn’t get through the first couple episodes lol. Can’t relate to the scene of the girls shocked she’s a young mom. Majority of my friends got pregnant at 15-17 and I supported and loved them through out.
That’s only in a few places. In my town you get kicked out of school and everyone cuts teen mums off and talk bad about them behind their back. Most of them move away. Also teen pregnancy aren’t common here, lucky because our sex education is good and there are clinic everywhere that provide free conception and abortions.
