Double good news, yay! And also thanks for giving Twig's name a shoutout in the title:) At no point was I worried about Red, because it handled the transfer so smoothly like you talked about in its rescue video. But boy was I ever worried about Twig, especially given the fast metabolism of firewood catfish that might imply starvation after 2 months. Now that Twig is doing better, I think this is a good time to revisit the comment I made on the December 30 firewood update (don't know if you've seen it or not) and see how the hypotheses check out: "Yay, a Twig and Log update! At least it's half good. Have you considered different levels of immune system strength in individual fish as a potential factor? RD has talked about this on Monster Fish Keepers before. It could be that if pathogens are getting out of control in the uncleaned sump, Twig is more individually sensitive than Log and is not able to keep them at bay while Log is. Or perhaps they are less fond of each other's company as they age and Log is hierarchially bullying Twig when you aren't watching? I think the uncomfortable hypothesis has merit too if both Twig and Log are unsettled. The sooner you find out what the matter is the better, we don't want them darting and breaking their snouts! Also pleasantly surprised Twig didn't starve in the 5 weeks since he was put here. People on Monster Fish Keepers say firewoods have very high metabolism for big catfish, so I kind of expected lack of food to be a life threatening issue at 5 weeks. Jumbos in the 25K/100L and Bass Land in the next tank:)? You should have done that sooner and released the video on Christmas as a gift to all us eager beaver viewers:) Jokes aside, that shuffle will be a lot of work. I hope it will end up succeeding at its intentions of giving every fish involved an even better tank. By the way, this video reminded me of something I ought to ask about: would I please be able to edit footage from your videos into a future video use thumbnails from those videos as parts of the thumbnails for said future videos too (while giving due credit of course)? I presume you would be OK with this but I figured I should ask to make sure and to be polite. Sidenote: since Jtoledo mentioned the tiger perch, those video bombing tiger perch remind me of the website logo of one of my new top favorite pet stores, Kowloon Aquapets:) Look it up if interested to see." I am inclined to think my individual variation in immune system strength hypothesis is the most likely hypothesis I proposed. It would be consistent with what happened if, say, Twig's immune system was fighting a pathogen for 2 months and then got over it but in the meantime killed Twig's appetite. Overall, this should be a fairly appropriate video to show to Liam when I next see him, not just for my plans of introducing him to Twig and Log but also for updates on other residents the video has good footage on.
When are you finishing the 2 large aquarium builds ??? Love seeing all the fish 🐟
I’m glad you’re skinny firewood is now feeding for you Vic. It makes us happy.:)

I can’t believe the discrepancy in size between the 2 firewood cats! It’s huge. Hope the smaller ones continues to eat a lot. ❤
I'm never worried about Red Tails not feeding.
