    Excellent video, I wish everyone would do this, it's fast enough to get through it without fast forwarding but just slow enough to see every step!
    Great work!

    Brilliant video mate. The best I've seen so far about stripping the front end / removing the fan etc. I can see that you really know your stuff. Thanks. :)

      To be honest with you I do not know how it is on diesel engines. But I think it's should be the same.

    My auxiliary fan is frequently going on & off when the a/c is not on and it makes rather a loud whining noise. Is this in need of replacing or is there a way around this?

    • @mikes.garage
      @mikes.garage  5 лет назад

      This is how it works. When you stay in traffic it will go on and cool down temperature then go off.

      @@mikes.garage So you're saying there may not be a reason to change it just yet? I'm just wondering as it's only recently started making a louder noise than usual.

      Luke Malhotra when you start cold car it shouldn't work only if A/C on. Usually making noise the main cooling fan on water pump and it's ok. If your auxiliary fan not working at all then you need to replace it.

    How do i test the fan before i take it off?

    • @mikes.garage
      @mikes.garage  7 лет назад +2

      alberto alva You need to run the car to working temperature in a warm day and turn you A/C on, if the fan is not spinning it maybe broken. Also it could be a A/C fuse which is located under glow box. The best way to make sure that fan is not working is to scan the car.

      alberto alva also fan may not be working if temperature switch on lower radiator hose is broken.

    Thank you very much for the video.
    Could you please help me?
    I have following problem. Fan is working but sound is like the fan rubs against something plastic.
    1. video is on cold engine (very noisy)
    ruclips.net/video/IUOjvatsRSA/видео.html
    2. video is on warm engine (I could live with that) but if is easy fix, I would like to fix it.

    Thank you very much :) Love your videos

      Thank you for watching my videos! It looks like the fan blades are touching the casing, and when everything heats up, the plastic casing expands and the blades no longer touch it. How is it happened?
