this was amazing, thank you for doing all of the different examples! i'm trying to print my first sublimination shirt and also designing the image for it, so this video has been really helpful! still unsure of what settings i need my drawing to be in for the program, but i am still researching!
You are my "go-to" for "how-to" sublimation! I love your videos so much! Thank you, Jennifer Maker! I was actually terrified of the idea of Sublimation, and after watching a few of your videos, thought "I can do this!" Now I have a thriving business doing custom hear for people! THANK YOU!
This video helped me soooo very much!!! I just recently got into sublimation and HTV and I have watched many RUclips videos. I find myself coming back to your videos and website for everything. I even bought your Sublimation Cookbook and will probably buy the Cricut one too! I appreciate the work you put into your tutorials. Keep on Making and I'll keep on Watching!! :)
Thank you for this video! You are awesome and I have learned soooo much! I just completed my first sublimation project and thanks to you it was simple and easy with your help! Please keep up the great work!
Thank you for this tutorial. I prefer the super faded "many x's washed" look of the cotton shirts and can't seem to find them anywhere. I've taken the plunge and bought a heatpress and will just start making my own. Thank you again. Very informative.

Thank you for all of this hard work!! You really take the time to make sure we have all the info we need. And I love that you showed the colors and how it feels after washing, that’s really important! Again, thank you!!😊
WOW!!! Thank you so much for doing all of the work for me so I don't have to guess at what I would like. While I do like the silky feeling I loved that you showed the "see through" test. SO VERY HELPFUL!!! Thank you so much Jennifer and your Team!
Thankyou so so much for this, I was one of those people who couldn't figure out why to SUB on tshirts, cotton, polyester, poly- combo. You certainly done all the homework for me and not to forget the sub- cook book. Thankyou Thankyou 😊
Fantastic round up video. Will definitely try the clear HTV option in the future. Didn’t know about that but knew I could not be bothered with DTF powder. You should get a publisher for that sublimation cook book.
Appreciate all the effort you put into this for us all. I’ve just tried using sublimation ink pens and a spray to experiment on a cotton handkerchief BEFORE I try it on a t-shirt. Didn’t work fantastic, and after watching this I might just have to go with poly t shirts instead. Plus the pens I was using were a random brand from Amazon, so the colours weren’t that bright to start with (red and yellow). Might try some different transfer mediums though. Used paper first, then card stock because the paper seems to absorb more of the ink. The joys of experimenting.
Hi Jennifer, I have been watching your videos and they have really helped me. I have a strange question. I am doing a navy cotton shirt for my grandson. He want a school logo, which is gold. Can I do the clear vinyl under so the black shows through? I do not want white behind it. I can also do just iron on vinyl, but like the way sublimation feels and lasts. Thanks
I ordered a leotard for my granddaughter that was supposed to be mostly polyester, but it is actually rayon. Can I use the clear sublimation htv and sub on 82%rayon/spandex? I have a clamshell press and a Cricut easy press. And an Epson ET sub printer. Your cookbook guides are so helpful. Thank you!
It may wash out on rayon. You can ask in the group to see if anyone has sublimated on rayon and were successful with it. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
Hi Jennifer. I want to make a custom football jersey for our grandson. I want to get a dark blue football jersey since that is his school color. I want white letters with a grey outline. The jersey is kind of perforated on the bottom front and back so it is airy. Can I sublimate on that? I am having a hard time finding a solid material in a football jersey. Thanks.
My husband and I own a business. The past 10 years I have purchased Screen print shirts to sell. I have decided to purchase a Sublimation printer. Our best selling shirts are “Heathered” Gilden Softstyle. I’m trying to decide if Lazor or ink will be best for me. I will make them in bulk rather than “as ordered”. Any Advice is very much appreciated!❤️ Love your channel

@JenniferMaker Hey Jennifer, I have watched your video and I cant thank you enough for the work you put into these to help anyone wanting to get into Sublimation but I have had an issue whenever trying to apply my design to a shirt, the color for grays have seemed to come out more brown tone than gray and I have not figured out why either. Would you have any tips on how to help with this? Im using a Georges White T shirt, An Epson F100 series sublimation printer and the recommended paper that you have suggested in a good amount of your videos. Im just trying to figure this out and having little to no luck. I cant adjust my printing setting as they are limited for some reason and Ive tried upping the saturation with no avail.
I am having issues with scorching in the area outside of the sublimation where the press is hitting it. Does this mean the press is set too high or I am pressing too long? I set it at 400 for 1 minutes
I have tried sublimating with HTV and my paper has stuck twice and I’ve run two shirts so I don’t know what I’m doing, but I’ve been watching your videos religiously hoping to see what the air of my way is
Hi Jennifer! when I sublimated on a 100% polyester T-shirt, i got a yellow tinge imprint where I used my heat tape! WHat caused this? It didn't happen on cotton fabric. Is it too much pressure or heat? I didn't get a scorch box outline, so I am just wondering if you have any ideas or suggestions. Thank you! And love your videos ❤
The yellow tinge imprint you're seeing on your 100% polyester T-shirt where you used heat tape could be due to a few factors. Polyester is more sensitive to heat compared to cotton. The yellow tinge could be a result of too much heat or pressure. Try decreasing your temperature by about 10 degrees Fahrenheit, as suggested in the context, and see if that helps. Sometimes, the adhesive on the heat tape can react with the polyester fabric under high heat, causing discoloration. Make sure you are using high-quality heat-resistant tape specifically designed for sublimation. It could be the kind of heat resistant tape that you are using. Cricut blue in color heat resistant tapes works wonderfully. If you are pressing the same area multiple times, it can cause discoloration. Ensure that you are pressing each area only once and allowing it to cool completely before moving on to the next section. Also, heavy T-shirts might have extra starch or other treatments that can react under heat.
Can you explain the different transfer paper? I have premium inkjet dark transfer paper and premium inkjet light transfer paper. I used the light on a black shirt and you couldnt see the design.
May I ask , what's type of vinyl or method can I put on wood that can glow in the dark? I just want to put on wood that will show the clock numbers at night. Thanks
We haven't worked on a project like that but a great place to ask is in my Sublimation FB group as they are super helpful there! facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy 💗
I like faded look of the cotton. Gives it a faded beachy look. But does it only fade once or continue to fade until it disappears entirely with the first few washings?
Jerzees is my go to. I have never had a problem with the color fading after it's washed, and I use Hiipo ink and A Sub sublimation paper. Cricut is nice but too expensive, and it's not sized right.
Can you tell me why my shirt runs/smears. I do the process and after it is done it looks great and then after it is worn the shirt run/smears I love the way this looks and the fact you can use it on 100% cotton and it turns out vibrant. I have tried the process 4 times and every time it does the same thing.
I was so happy thinking what fun to make my own shirts so my husband went out and got me everything I needed. And I still have not been able to figure this out. This was great. By any chance are there any good women cut shirts?
