The rake is a great tool! I use it to clean up the tree branches and other debris around our property. Pull it all into big piles and then I use the grapple to take it to the burn pile.
I have a drive that wanders through timber with the slope changing all the time. I have a rake, blade and box blade. I was fortunate and found a tractor with a Top/Tilt kit already installed. I'd never used the T/T before but have found that it is invaluable if you live on uneven terrain. When combined with a quick hitch, it also makes hooking up to that finicky 3-point attachment a piece of cake.
I wish I had a mat this summer. My neighbor saw my Stihl saw sitting in it's holster on the forestry winch, so he thought he'd do me a "favor" and put it inside the cab on the floor. Came back to find the floor covered with a pool of bar oil. The gift that keeps giving, as bar oil just doesn't want to clean up!
I use gauge wheels on my rake to keep the tines at a fixed depth. The three-point is hard to control, especially as the front of the tractor hits bumps. Also, to maintain a crown on the driveway I tilt the rake with the side link, adjust the gauge wheel on the low side, and angle the rake so that the extra material slides off toward the center of the drive. Those wheels let me get that sure-pack as smooth as pavement.
@@GoodWorksTractors years of the previous owner plowing snow messed up the drainage. Now that I fixed that (with some help from your videos) I'm going to try a front-mounted snowblower to try to preserve what I've got. I also roll the driveway with a big lawn roller after raking.
When I first attempted to clear my field, me, being a newbie with the 2025r, thought I would use the front loader like a bulldozer. Oops. The very first attachment I bought was the rake. Not only was it a 1000x better for the job, but it was heaven being in the tractor without constantly banging into the rocks that seem to grow there.
I have had good luck using the rake on a gravel drive with gauge wheels. I then hook my drag harrow (8'x8') on the back of the rake. Now the rake levels, fills holes and the harrow smooths it all out and lays down the ridges in one pass.
Hey Courtney...Loved the mats. I sent tractormat folks a note letting them know I saw their product here and I would be interested in a mat for my open station 102R TLB. The rake did a nice job. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
I could never get my rake to do anything worthwhile, but I think it has to do with the QA and top link. When I get my new tractor I will add a topntilt and that will make running the rake and grader, and box for that matter a lot easier. I know I have a long list of t-do to do with the new tractor, things my B2410 just isn't heavy enough for.
I was hoping to see the box blade used. I think that is what I need to smooth out the fields at my mom’s house. I think the ground is too solid for a rake to break it up.
@@GoodWorksTractors As a fella with a subcompact tractor I love to run, it's great to see equipment making awful projects easy. Excavator videos would be awesome!
I considered one of those nice tractor mats for my 4 series cab tractor several months ago. But when I saw that they are only offered in tan color, I changed my mind. My OE mat is black for a reason, it doesn’t show mud and crud like a light colored mat would. I’d buy one tomorrow if they offer them in black. Just my two cents…
@@kcrariden6922 I disagree. My truck came with tan floor mats, they were exceptionally hard to keep clean, they showed every speck of dirt and mud. I replaced them with black mats…they hide the dirt MUCH better than the tan.

Love to see all the hard work you put into your business. Excellent film work.
Much appreciated!

yeah, my crown is already established so the tractor leans along the side of the crown which allows the rake to also lean. Gotta try the wheels!!

Thanks for the info. I've been debating on getting a landscape rake for a while. I may need to pull the trigger on this one.
Thanks man, happy to help!
Gonna show some love to your drone pilot! As a beginner pilot I appreciate all the shots they get. Awesome job
Haha, yeah he's dialed in. Very good, have you ever seen those drone racing pilots? Those guys are crazy!
I use my rake all the time. Works well on grooming those trails through the woods once they are established.
Yeah, love the rake!
Love those landscape rakes! I use mine all the time.
Super handy, easy to handle too

I've gotta get a set of wheels to try it out
You can also spin it backwards after raking and seeding to cover the seed and make ground contact.

Good deal Joe! Yeah, I think they'll be a big hit with the 1025r club. Enjoy your Friday!
I have gage wheels on my rake that are adjustable up and down it helps quite a bit for depth of cut for different materials
Yeah, I gotta try a set of those out at some point. Easier to use those than to adjust the three point?

great video those tractor mats are cool I can't wait to get one for my tractor
I really liked the tractormat idea. Oh and the whole video. I will be checking with them to see if they have one for a Ford 1520 no cab Thx
Thanks for watching!!
Love my box blade for counter weight. But to condition or regrade a driveway or parking lot i use my landscape rake
Yeah, worked really well!
I was hoping to see the box blade used. I think that is what I need to smooth out the fields at my mom’s house. I think the ground is too solid for a rake to break it up.
Coming in a future video!
Could you please put up the website for the sweeper sweeper I've left a couple up online and they're the right ones great thank you love what you do.
I looked up a couple online and they weren't the right thing I'm looking for I'm looking for the one that you had it has the PTO driven shaping behind

@@GoodWorksTractors thank you sir
Hi always found my landscape rake worked better when angled
Yeah, definitely worked better when angled on the driveway.
Gage wheels are a must for these rakes
Gonna have to try them out!
Man I could use one of those rakes right about now. We had 80mph wind yesterday and our yard is full of corn leaves and husks.
Some crazy winds everywhere lately.
When are we gonna get some videos with the excavator?? I've been hoping for one for a while
Didn't know you guys wanted to see it!

Good morning Courtney.
I came across your channel by watching excavator videos. I like em.
P.s I did sub to your channel.
Ed
Great idea doing the road while it was wet. That way the fines don't get shook out and you end up with nothing but big rocks
The area looks much better after raking. Do you play similar music on the tractor’s radio as is played in the video?
Haha, negative. Too focused on what I'm doing or sometimes on a phone call in the cab tractors.
Good Morning!
Good Morning, don't blow away today!

You also might have wanted to try your edge tamer’s in the application
Hmm, not sure if that would have worked in this situation or not, thanks for watching!
If yo get rid of the 4720 and the LS you can get a small 4 series tractor
What's a small 4 Series?
@@GoodWorksTractors a 4052R it is similar to the 4066R but 14hp smaller

pretty sure black is the color that shows the most crud. Ever notice how clean a person has keep a black car?

Sweet!!👍👍
Oh yeah!
How well do they handle rocks? Up to basketball size…lots of rocks
Seems like that would be a challenge. Perhaps a box blade or rear blade with closed ends that you don't lower all the way to the ground?
@@GoodWorksTractors I was thinking box blade… I’ve had one on order for 8 months now
At 16:04 I said "That's way too wet."
At 18:50 I said "Is that a landscape rake or a road squeegee?" 🤣🤣
Keep practicing when it dries out more.
I might be waiting until next summer!! 😂😂😂
@@GoodWorksTractors Ok try it when its "kinda sorta" frozen but not to soupy. 🤣
Ohhh, like a slushy! Well, now I'm getting hungry! 😂😂
@@GoodWorksTractors Exactly 🤣🤣🤣
Do you have a compact tractor loader that I can purchase?
Can you add arizona to the free shipping? I would definitely order from you if you did.
That rake needs wheels so that it keeps its level better.
Hmm, I didn't notice that being an issue for me
I'm offended you used a knife without wearing the appropriate eye protection, a face shield, cut resistant gloves and a leather gown.
Way to long. Like a mood tape
I don't know what a mood tape is, but I watched the video twice and liked it both times, haha!
