When you mention better suspension, is there any downgrade on the comfort level because it was (in the first model) one of the main good things (keeping good quality ride on bumpy roads)? Nice video as usual 👍
It’s a definitely a sporty car, but I guess we all want that😜 If you want more comfort you can go for the adaptive dampers. But this stock suspensions is really good overall in my eyes.
And that's why the M140i with its B58 will always be the one to have! 👍🏻

Not really a fan of BMW these days but this is a nice car. Im 54, looking to buy something to keep for many years, cash buy. I like this colour, I need AWD because of where I live and auto is a must as well.

Bangs and burbles are played in the cabin.
I have the 2020 model and while I was extremely disappointed that they removed the (real) pops after I placed my order (the car I test-drove had them), I am not sure I’d want fake pops. Maybe the upshift farts, but not even sure. Even though it’s not very loud, the car does have a nice engine tone (videos don’t do it justice). So I prefer to have a more “pure” experience with the (more or less) real sound inside.
Otherwise I’ll just get a VW Up, put some earphones and play a Lamborghini soundtrack when driving spiritedly 😂
For reference about the sound, I recently test-drove an M440i and it had even less sound than my M135i. Even my wife was shocked and said she preferred the M135i. I also didn’t feel a huge difference (if any) in the acceleration feeling. But of course, it’s a different car for a different target market.
JCR Leeds can map pops and bangs back in but I would recommend a sports or de cat so they don't melt your cat

@@krabbe969 Inferior handling in the real world you mean. I've owned both - day to day driving and cornering the new car is superior. 99% of drivers will get from A to B faster in the 135i.

Where did you see "well over 260 on the speedo"? It`s limited to 254 km/h on speedo and 246 km/h on GPS!
How is it limited? That sounds about right for a 300hp car

This or the Golf R? I can't make up my mind. Leaning towards the Golf R though.
The MK8 is plenty more powerful and potentially more fun. It's actually in a different class performance wise. This car is better compared with mk7 and 7.5.
That said the quality of the cabin seems better in the M135i than the MK8 golf.

a little bit slower from 100 - 200 as a Hyundai i30 N DCT with 280 PS but why ?
4-wheel drive adds weight and more drivetrain loss. So wheel horsepower to weight ratio probably favors the hyundai very slightly. Crank peak horsepower is not always the most reliable indicator of speed.
For example, a leon cupra 300 is noticeably faster than a golf R mk7 100-200 even though they have the exact same engines. Reasons are the same that i listed above

Most probably because it's heavier, the clubsport is FWD this is xdrive which adds extra weight.

It may be as fast as the old 6 cylinder, but without it it’s nothing special anymore. Its just like every other 300 HP Hothatch we have. The old one was at least special.
Id rather choose any other Hothatch on the market to be honest. And i say that as a BMW fan.
I suggest you drive one if you haven't, it surprised me quite a bit, in a good way. Nowhere near as good sounding as the old B58 or N55 powered ones, but a great daily.
And I say this as an E36 owner.

I’ll keep my m140 3l, straight 6, rwd. This was once a great car but BMW keeps ruining it. I’ll rather get an RS3 or A45s. I’m not a Benz fan but compared to this m135 I’d rather go for it. And I’ll never trade my m140 for anything.

Golf r mk 8 is a lot more for similar extras and the dash is pony and plastic. Lot faster though to be fair.
I beg to differ, the mk8 golf is ugly. I would prefer this bmw to the new golf, and its a lot saying for me personally, i was always a golf fan, i own a mk7 Gti 3 doors clubsport. If i would choose now, its this bmw. And btw, this bmw is priced LESS then that R here, so not worth the price. I mean, whats wrong with VW? Asking price here, its starting from 56000 euro! If you add that akrapovic and the performance pack, its 60.000 euro, for a f**** golf hahahah.

Glad I got the real deal in a hatchback. M140i xdrive has everything you need. I6 with a great sound, good looking car (F40 looks like shit) compared to this one and more power that xdrive actually puts down a decent way compared to its RWD counterpart.
My wife hated the M140i but loves the M135i she got recently. Each to their own - but the new one seems to handle better.

Man hört so eine Art "Upshift Fart" wie bei den älteren DSG Fahrzeugen & Pops im Innenraum obwohl außen eigentlich keine existieren? (oder existieren die Pops und Sie werden hier im Video nur nicht von außen gezeigt?)
Ich finde den Sound eigentlich für 2022 echt okay aber was soll dieses Vorgegaukel von etwas, dass nicht da ist? Autos werden leiser in der EU, das ist leider so, aber dann habe ich lieber das was vom Sound noch übrig geblieben ist (komplett ohne irgendwas von den Lautsprechern oder nem Aktuator der unter der Frontscheibe sitzt) und der dann eben leiser ausfällt, als diesen Fake Sound und vor Allem Fake Pops. Das ist ja ne ganz neue Ebene, dass man jetzt noch Fake Upshift Knallen und Pops & Bangs im Innenraum suggeriert, die gar nicht da sind.
Ich verstehe diese Sound Euphorie auch nicht für dieses kleine Update am 135 und stimme dir voll und ganz überein. Nur noch Fake überall. Lieber diesen Fake aus den Lautsprechern weglassen.
