But it's when seeing you in a car like this the difference becomes obvious, it looks so much faster and smoother when you're in a car that doesn't seem like it's trying to kill you :P And refreshing to see one that doesn't go into limp mode halfway through, or start losing brakes if it had them to begin with... Do you get a lot of people who seem to have solely focused on adding power and think they now have a track car? There is a surprising amount of the cars you test who don't seem to have brakes that handle track use at all, is it because you push the car harder than the owner does, so they don't notice the problem themselves? Nice xDrive Mini. It's a shame BMW let the small RWD platform for the 1 and 2 series go. The 1 series now is just a Mini with a BMW badge and the 2 series (coupe) is just too heavy.
So this has a transverse setup? Is the s drive fwd? I'm surprised to read this so genuine enquiry here. Inherently, I don't have a problem with it if the platform is great. It makes perfect sense to share the platform. Nobody complains about mitsi evos having transverse setups but bmw is rwd in everyone's mind. Even the smallest hatches are the only rwd hatchbacks so if they' re moving away from it, that's disappointing. Then again, the new ones look horrible so I don't really care. The E82/E92 are the last generation bmw's I care about. First gen M2 is also pretty cool but already on the bulky side. E92's are big but they're very slick, good-looking cars. Almost everything after that looks like S.
Drives through corners very similar to typical hot hatches like a Megane RS going by this vid. So something I would never expect nor want from a BMW to be honest. Especially when you still pay for the BMW bagde.
