- #GorillaShorts presents the 6th Story of #Offbeats S1 called Maratha Mandir Cinema, a new short film directed by Pankaj Dubey featuring Swanand Kirkire and Sarika.The film is about a girl Simran, born and brought up in Mumbai's Red light area Kamathipura, who finds hope of love and life in the popular blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge running at a nearby theatre, Maratha Mandir Cinema, where it has been playing continuously for the last 26 years. The film ignites her imagination and liberates her to change the course of her life.
On the occasion of the 26th Anniversary of the release of the iconic film DDLJ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, see how the film impacted the lives of the most neglected parts of society.

Conveying such a deep and strong message in such a short film is a rare talent ! The director managed to keep the story gripping and interesting throughout. The credit goes to the director @PankajDubey, the writer @ShraddhaSingh and the entire cast of the film. We'd love to see more such creations by them in the future 👍🏼🤘🏼 !!
