Thank you so much for this film. Realization struck me so hard after watching the film and going through the comments; been crying like crazy for the past ten minutes. Please cherish the time with your parents as much as you can till they are alive and you can hear them, see them, take scolds from them, love from them, etc. After they'll be gone, every such thing will be a far cry and we're going to miss all of them.
A thought provoking film. Many of us may not be as heartless or mean as the characters shown in the film, but maybe failing in our duties towards our old parents. Even if they are not ill or bedridden, they need attention ,care and company of their children. Blessed are those children who care for their parents in their old age.
Deep respect to my mom and dad. I have seen both of them getting sick in different times and they took care of each other so nicely. Sitting hours together and listening to each other. Tears simply flow !
We are supposed to care for our parents like they cared for us when we were kids. I am ashamed of the kids who left their mom when she needed them the most.
Very impressive short film which speaks volumes about the loneliness of elders. Touched me deeply since I too live alone from the last many many years. How many --- I cannot count.
Its easy for kids to say we love our parents but the real test is when the parents need their children during their old age. Rarely, kids take good care of their parents.. i remember my grandparents said thank you to my mother before they left the world.. i just pray to god that we all kids have the strength to take care of our family members whenever required. I don't want any parents to feel the way sanjay mishra felt while he was taking care of his wife.
This comment goes for Sir Sanjay Mishra, " your acting is too good, couldn't ask for more". And the brother and sister were right on spot, great, everyone, thank you for giving us this perspective !!! Loved the work
This film is an eye-opener to the many layers of family relationships and societal expectations. Sanjay Mishra's portrayal is incredibly moving, capturing the emotional weight of a man torn by family duties and personal desires. Adheen is not just a film; it reflects on our roles within our families and the societal pressures that shape these roles. A must-watch for its heartfelt storytelling and superb acting.

There is much more in this story that has not been discussed in the comments so far, so here you go. 1. Their back story didn't reflect a happy family. 2. 1 bad decision of cutting off a lesbian daughter cause a chain reaction of bad decisions and worsening situations. 3. The mother most likely got sick because of cold treatment of children. 4. The father did his best while knowing the wife had an extramarital relationship. 5. A banker son (likely) and a professor daughter show they were well educated and taken care off in that field. But likely no one ever discussed the elephant in the room that was causing suffocation of relationship.
Adheen means Lachari which shows how an overdose of self interest and self love can redefine our love towards our family. But its not only about children who are so irresponsible rather It shows that how our upbringing impact our whole life mindset and how it affect children. They are not born as but they are made in this world only . Adheen represent ls a fully dis functional family where they all are in conflict with each other and these conflicts lead to increasing distances over time . Along with it also shows other social issues homosexuality, parental rejection, financial un stability, lack of cost effective and efficient healthcare system , parents don’t give importance to their children’s dreams and sometimes force them to choose career of their parents choice may be vir wanted to do something else but his mother wanted him to be a banker and in such scenario he would have distracted , and he end up with something random profession. All this end up with anger and frustration among family members which make them selfish and took them far away from the very family system of our society which is based on selfless love and care . And in the end I think father wanted to end all this and get rid of a hope . Hope of care , sense of responsibility, love which he wish to get from his children. Finally He wanted to face the reality and thats why he did all this now he was taking care of his wife and house without any hope . He is no longer adheen but independent.
Old age is so tough, I can’t even imagine being old and miserable... our body degenerate, we become same as babies just that people find babies adorable and old people not so... it is a challenge for all of us to make old people feel loved and their experience made feel important... they say stupid things sometimes which may not make sense to someone but still you had them at their best times you should have them at their worst too
True this generation majority children selfish don't bother about parents they forget whatever ty r today is Bec of the struggle and sacrifice of thr parents
Probably most of us choose selfishness over selflessness... The movie was so beautifully directed that at the end the flow stopped. Sanjay Sir as always superb.
But it's happening in all over the world, but suddenly the world is Stop and everyone at home & live with their family. I don't know What is the outcome of this. Hope it's good

Great presentation!Parents taking care of their Child & Taking care of Parents goes hand-in-hand, condition provided intentions are Good, Pure & to the Heart at both ends!
Was going through crisis. No rays of hope was there, family member were continuously calling me to see my face. I was having just one thought let’s fix all the mess up and then will head to home. Days pass by, nothing happened. Then they played health urgency drama. I went to home and spend best quality time with them. Came back to work city and magically all things started getting back to the place. Life was on the track with minimal efforts. *This happened all because of their blessing*. Not giving gyan but blessing works all the time. We all are busy but please spend time with them and they will bless you.
19:30 to 19:40 his wife is alive..bcoz her clothes are being dried on hanger. he was checking his children's intentions. now he is free as he has no expectations from them
What a beautiful movie, depicting the issue of long term care and the role of family as caregivers .. It is always very easy to blame from outside.. long term care is very difficult and we as a country and society need to think of options like hospice and old age homes, also discussing options of euthanasia so one can pass away with dignity rather than be a burden on children and spouses. But very nice to see some realistic depiction of issues without the usual melodrama...
Love your practical approach. My wife and I often discuss about it for ourselves. If one partner passes away, and the other is alone and sick, better to take the shortcut.
Or euthanasia, our right to life should also include our right to die?. Very well put though. While there are support groups for caregivers, but it is very critical to understand that the quality of life of the caregiver is very poor. So it is more than one life which is at stake.
Excellent piece of work in just 21 minutes. Great Story by Pururava Rao & Neeraj Pradeep Purohit. Very precise direction by Yash Verma. And of course flawless acting portrayed by Sanjay Mishra. Masterpiece.👍
what a realistic brilliant script. This is something that every youth can relate. Today's children or youth are not what they used to be in 70, or 80s. People have become selfish, they don't have inner conscience. Sad to say but times have changed a lot.
My question is after watching this.. Agar ma ki jagah aulaad bed pe hoti bimar to kya ma baap ye jhgda krte ki tu sambhal Tu sambhal... Ya bhag jate Marne k lie chhod k???
We took care of our invalid father in law for 3 years selflessly but never stop crying while remembering him. Even when they're lying still in one place, their being alive means so much! We're ardent believers in karma and feel we progressed in life not due to hard work and education but because we decided to take care of him instead of worrying about all the expenses. Now that he's no more, we're financially much better than our wildest expectations:)

The subtle message behind the larger moral message of caring for parents is that in today’s individualistic, egoistic and materialistic society the family would have been much better if they changed their attitudes towards each other and be more accommodating to their opinions. All this family and many others need is empathy, mutual respect and unconditional love! Mother shouldn’t have thrown out daughter knowing well that her own job won’t allow her to look after children, father being a house husband deserves recognition and respect, son would have found love and care at home and would’ve been dutiful and daughter just desired understanding and concern, financially she is satisfied! The message in my opinion is 2 fold, for both generations, to seek and strive for larger good of all by bearing small sacrifices daily rather than insurmountable guilt and pain at once! Who knows loneliness and hopelessness might have made the mother(root of entire dilemma) sick at first place!

Yaar we are saying so much things in comment section but in deep of our heart we feel that we are so carelessly left our parents because of jobs and all. We want to be with them but its not possible I think each and every person don't want to face reality that we failed as child. I love my parents but they don't want to come with me because they know I can't afford and they got bored in this city They just happy in village but I can't go back my village forever because of job My wish is that I always be with my parents but I can't because they don't wanna come from village We all miss our family and village but we can't go there for forever This life is our choice once we started our journey but now its become a compulsion on us.
Bro your parents never compromised I guess for your education since they knew what has to be done. So financial is never an issue when u have to take care of ur parents just keep them with you I am sure you will never regret this.

my take - the closed door, the photo without a garland and the medicines in full tell the conclusion ... kids ofcourse abandoned her but HE CAME BACK ... khaali !!!
I loved the story lineup and acting of every character.Obviously she has not died since he is still there cleaning the house and her wife photo is hanging there without any Garland. Medicines are still there & that antidote was just a lie to test whether kids have any interest in them apart from there property, that's why he cleared this first that he has already sold out the property so that both of them decide this out of any greediness for property. Loved it Sanjay Mishra is awesome !
Shame on such children, not even they have any right to get born if they can't take care of parents when they need it the most. It wasn't at all easy to watch this story till the end...
He did not poison his wife, he checked himself out from is relationship with his kids. The meds were there, the house was clean, there was food on the dining table. His wife was alive, and he stayed with her, set free by the knowledge that he could not expect anything from his children. If the writer intended to convey that he had abandoned his sick wife he failed, or maybe the writer allowed each of us to end it as we saw fit.
माँ बाप सभी बच्चों के लिए होते हैं... बस उनकी जिंदगी के स्वार्थ में वो फिट नही होते !! दिल चाहता है कि उनका साया सर पर बना रहे... मगर दूर दूर से..!! Lovely film.
The only one thing I understood is " RESPONSIBILITY", No matter what circumstances come husband has performed his caring even though she doesn't like him. When time passes and he becomes alone his heart will be clean as he has taken good care of his wife. The rest of the things tested to the children to take their responsibility, At the ending wife is still alive as the clothes were drying outside and Mishra ji still taking care.
Adheen powerfully addresses the complexities of family dynamics and the often unspoken struggles within a household. Sanjay Mishra delivers a stunning performance, bringing depth and emotion to the film. The story is a poignant look at caregiving, abandonment, and the harsh realities of ageing. It's a compelling film that challenges viewers to reflect on the true meaning of love and responsibility in a family setting.
Maa baap agar apne baccho ki zindagi ka pehla kadam uthane mein uski madad kar sakte hai ... toh wahi bacche apne maa baap ke aakhri kadam uthane mein usse sahara kyun nahi de sakte?
Iss liye ke insaanon ke ghar aajkal kuttey ke bache paida ho rahe hain bhai mere. Her ghar ki yehi kahani hai her khandaan mien aise hi ehsan faramosh pal rahe hain.
Bcoz we fail to give children values all we give them is this nonsense bookish knowledge which will for sure help them to earn but they'll never learn how to live
That's nice lesson for this generation because some time we forget it We have Mom and Dad so we always keep mind we are duty our parents I love my parents and always I miss 💕💕

Deas no garland on the mothers picture in da end... means shes alive
And you see the IV tube and stand at the end. That means she's alive.
I too assume that she is alive, otherwise it leaves negative impact on audiences
Tears flow but there you are not taking care of them which is your duty

Talk sensibly. When they are together who the hell is he to come inbetween.
Hyy sir
With each dialogue delivered by Sanjay Mishra made rumble inside my heart. Making the story so intense as if we became a part of the act.

Loved the work
Great work, I'm astounded
This film is an eye-opener to the many layers of family relationships and societal expectations. Sanjay Mishra's portrayal is incredibly moving, capturing the emotional weight of a man torn by family duties and personal desires. Adheen is not just a film; it reflects on our roles within our families and the societal pressures that shape these roles. A must-watch for its heartfelt storytelling and superb acting.
Awesome movie and song at end is just....awesome. This is full song lyrics for anyone who are searching for lyrics....

Beautifully written, directed and performed. I'll remember this film for a very long time.
How can you say about wife's extramarital affair ?

Yes it's a blessing
Health will leave one Day... as everything in life .
You got the shortsighted part. The reality is nothing is forever.
Varuna ji...you have explained all the aspects of the film perfectly...very well written...
frustration, lack of satisfaction(job or life), anger etc make them selfish, which leads to stay far away. so true.

So well put and understood...ur one of the comments that truly understood the essence of the movie
Beautiful and very refined thought Madam

We took care of our invalid father in law for 3 years selflessly but never stop crying while remembering him. Even when they're lying still in one place, their being alive means so much! We're ardent believers in karma and feel we progressed in life not due to hard work and education but because we decided to take care of him instead of worrying about all the expenses. Now that he's no more, we're financially much better than our wildest expectations:)

Sanjay Mishra , immediately I like the button now it's time to see
The subtle message behind the larger moral message of caring for parents is that in today’s individualistic, egoistic and materialistic society the family would have been much better if they changed their attitudes towards each other and be more accommodating to their opinions.
Totally speechless n crying osm osm osm ............Indescribable that cannot be described in words!osm osm osm 🤗👍👌

Yaar we are saying so much things in comment section but in deep of our heart we feel that we are so carelessly left our parents because of jobs and all. We want to be with them but its not possible
I think each and every person don't want to face reality that we failed as child.

my take - the closed door, the photo without a garland and the medicines in full tell the conclusion ... kids ofcourse abandoned her but HE CAME BACK ...
Great film. I really liked the son's character. Very real.
You are right Ma'am 😊👍
