NOKIA G60 5G REVIEW: Best Nokia phone in 2023?

  • Is this the best Nokia phone out there in 2023? This is Nokia's G60 5G - a budget / mid-range option compared to their higher-end X30. I've used this phone for over a month now as my daily driver and this is my long-term review.
    As an average mobile phone consumer who uses phones for content consumption and communication, how did this phone do? We look at the camera, performance, build quality, its claims of sustainability, and most importantly, do I think it's worth it? Is it better or worse than a Pixel 6A or a Samsung A33 / A53? Is this the best budget phone in 2023?

    UPDATE: After the Android 13 update a few weeks ago, I'm finding that my phone blacks out and is unusable after making a phone call... Y'know -- what phones are made for. So until I figure out the solution (or until Nokia fixes it), I can't wholeheartedly recommend this phone :/

      I am living in Denmark and having the same phone, and i also have Android 13 on it, with no problems and my video from the phone looks better than yours, i use a fast 128 GB flash card optimized for 4K video on my old G50 i got some video problems with bad video, then i upgraded my flash card to a video optimized one and now videos works and i have OIS for 1080P30 Video in Android 13 not for 1080P60 :-)

      Screen protector or something covering the Proximity Sensor? Thread on the Nokia Community page.

      On nokia forums people found glass can block the proximity sensor, if you dont want to take out the glass you can also try another dialer app (another solution found on thd forums)

    You are my new favorite reviewer. I'm using an S10e and thinking on buying a Nokia. I know this is a step back in term of power, camera but i've quit social media for almost a year now so no use for a flashy camera, power under the hood etc. I am a regular person who uses the phone for regular tasks. Calls, messages, ocasional foodpics or urban sights thats pretty much it. The battery on the S10e is giving up which bothers me. I like the idea that Nokia has regarding the materials they use so yeah. Thinking to buy it.

      Thanks! That really means a lot!
      Hope Nokia lives up to the longevity promise but we aren't sure yet. We don't really hear from tech reviewers about this stuff years later so hoping I can help there haha.
      Have you considered buying a used flagship? Since Samsung promises 4 years updates you can get the same longevity by buying a used S21 or S22.

      Nokia built quality is always top notch and software is optimized because of Android One

    Thought of buying this device but instead got a refurbished pixel 3 for under 100$. using it for a year now and it's holding up pretty well. Camera is awesome, battery life decent and absolutely loving the stock android.

    The teardrop notch is a deliberate choice, i think. They found a lot of users still prefer it, so they probably thought it's not worth spending a lot to try and hide it. It makes it also look a little more classic, and the appearance could be improved with a cooler silicone case. Also, if you look at it, it makes more sense than a lone dot, it streamlines better in the overall design. Just my thoughts, if you already have the phone, might as well embrace it.

    been using Nokia G50 5G with SD480 and it never seems to disappoint me, used it for gaming on max settings constantly and it does really well. It's so optimized that even non flagship chipset can do well. Battery life is good as well, never had a problem with it.

      Wow nice that's reassuring that Nokia's midrange stuff will last long. How long have you had your G50?

    • @handel1111
      @handel1111 Год назад

      @@PGBlanks I had ben using my G50 since July last year, my daily mode would be 4G+/ 5G constantly on and with heavy use on social media apps and streaming apps plus Honkai Impact on max and would last a day. It owes to the fact that the G50 only has 720p screen + 5000mah + Android One. I also use it with no added case and tempered glass sometimes it would slip out of my hands and drops to the floor. To this day, it still running as good as when I got it first. The only thing I am complaining is the water drop notch and the bezels 😂😂😂
