I just somehow feel like iron signs, a prism sight AND a red dot all installed on the same gun is just not enough. I think adding a LPVO at 10 o'clock and a high magnification scope at 2 o'clock is at least a MUST to have all your targeting needs covered.
I've done that before. I also keep a set of MBUS at 6 o clock just in case
I paid for all the rail space, I'm going to use all the rail space!
What about the thermal?
You forgot the laser sighting system for your night vision aiming needs.
Add a carry handle under the barrel. It will double as a handstop. Such redundant, much versatile.
"Prism optics are good because I think they're neat", all the reasoning I need.
PA needs to just make their glx lineup with 4x
Seems like Trijicon has a patent on 4x, all these companys making anything but 4x.
@@chizorama How in the world do you patent a magnification???
@@tyler9881 I didn't say they did, I said it seems like it.

Petition to change the name of “field rifle” to “beater gun”
I’m a huge PA optic fan but I decided against this setup. I tried this Micro 5x with a CT RAD Pro on a budget gun. I compared it to the Vortex Spitfire 5x with the same CT dot. I ditched the PA micro 5x and stuck with the Spitfire.
The Spitfire only has 1MOA adjustments which is lame but I liked the Spitfire better in many ways. Vortex’s built in piggyback mount kills PA’s weird contraption IMO. It helps that PSA is giving 5x Spitfires away at $199 right now.
If PA updates this to have a built in piggyback mount, I’d probably reconsider it.
The PA 4x prism had a built in mount, but they discontinued it when they announced the ACSS Acog, thankfully I still have mine and it still kicks ass.
thanks for the shoutout about the Vortex 5x at PSA. Snagged one to compare to the PA.
@@joshr9730 The Fortis F1 mount is the only compatible mount I've found that gives the Vortex any rearward sweep. Vortex were boneheads and decided to use a T2 pattern.
One thing I like about the spitfire is it puts the red dot at the perfect height for night vision.
Thanks for the info! What a deal!
The best riser for this optic would be the carry handle. It'll still give you your rear sight and allow you to scoot the optic all the way back above the charging handle so you can see through it and you can withstand a drop unlike the factory amount.
You might be onto something here. I remember when the forums said CH-mounted optics were stupid 10 years ago i.e. “you won’t get a proper cheek weld!!1!”
No need for irons if you have an etched reticle
@@2bNIKEt1 sometimes you need a non magnified reticle. Same reason people put the red dot on the acog.
@@blaine6000 I'm currently running an acog on a m16a4 with carry handle. Only reason I thought of it.
Make carry handles great again or something?
I love my 2x prisim. The “eye feel” that you mentioned makes so much sense because it really feels way more than 2x magnification when looking through it. The only thing that sucks, at least for me, is that the reticle is tiny to my eyes.
I got the 1x micro prism and I love that thing . Have been waiting for the 5x to pair with the ruger sfar
F35's are freaking loud. Espeically in VTOL mode. Holy Shit.
VTOL does stand for Very Totally Overly Loud, after all.
So are F18s lol. I grew up living right underneath a flight path for F18s doing touch and go practice
I’ve got the 3x with an offset RMR and it’s been my favorite ar optics setup I’ve ever tried. Done LPVO’s, acog, stand-alone eotech, eotech w/magnifier but prefer a prism sight with 45deg rmr. The reason it’s better than a red dot and magnifier is it’s faster to change optics, it’s lighter, you have two optics instead of one, and you have a good BDC reticle instead of a magnified dot. Also I don’t care about the passive aiming problem because I use a PVS 14 instead of bino’s.
"...prefer a prism sight with 45deg rmr..."
This...I've got an Elcan w/a Trij. rmr mounted, however, atop. I found it easier, w/an LMT stock, to just lift my melon slightly and I'd be staring at the red dot.
I have the same, and I agree: it's awesome. Best ever.
I have 3 of them and they are great. The acog does look slightly better but not 700 bucks better. the 3x has better eye relief and is way lighter. If I had the money for the ACOG I still mght get one but I kinda preffer the little 3x.
Do you use the micro 3x or the full-size?
@@colostomybag9367is the acog clearer?
Was a red dot magnifer simp for a while. Decided this setup was the best for me. 5x PA micro w/ their offset mount. Loses in some categories, but boy it wins in weight. The setup weighs as much as my G45 in a unity FTC mount, give or take, without the massive Eotech + riser. Could use a t2 style optic for reduced weight, but the simplicity of no magnifier was nice as well. I'm getting into longer range shooting and when crouched or prone, not having to crane my neck to a 2.26 height optic was nice. A prism that has reliable illumination with great battery life, auto live feature, was a big selling point. Eyebox is strict but it felt less strict than the G45 magnifier for me. I probably should have gotten the BDC model, but I do enjoy a 200 yard zero, so I got the mil grid. Not a deal breaker, as it's not too busy for me at this time.
Had my share of LPVO's and magnifiers+dots, and lately have been on a prism kick. I really liked the GLX lineup, i have 2 of the 2x both on longer barreled PCCs, and theyre great. But after switching back and forth from LPVOs on my 16" general use rifle, i finally bit the bullet and bought a used acog and couldnt be happier with it. Never turning back. I should have learned the lesson a long time ago that sometimes its worth the money.
yessssssssssss
I have the spitfire 5x. I swapped out the factory mount for the fortis manufacturing mount. I just flipped it to sweep it back towards my eye. I believe the mount was under $100. The spitfire uses t1/t2 footprint.
I was going to mention that too. Vortex really messed up when they chose a red dot footprint for their prism. The F1 is the only quality mount that gives you any rearward sweep. I have a 3x.
Now if only someone out there would compete with the Elcan Spectre.
Lead & Steel is working on an Elcan competitor; supposed to be around $900 whenever it’s released
You mean a 1-4x LPVO?
@@ALovelyBunchOfDragonballz No I mean a prism optic with multiple magnification settings.
@@ALovelyBunchOfDragonballzthe specter isn’t a 1-4, it’s a 1&4.
@@stripes9908 yeah, a 1-4x lpvo. No one uses the 2 and 3 setting, and the only positive thing to be said about the spectre is that isn't damn near bomb proof but you pay for that in cost and weight, if it was made cheaper then just weight. There isn't really a market for it, just like there was never a strong commercial market for the ELCAN in the first place.
The 1-4x LPVO _IS_ the competition, and it won.
I have seen a product that’s billed as a magnifier for a prism optic, the trick it it’s a flip to side magnifier in front of the optic. That way you can get the eye box right, and still have space up front for magnification. It seems like an interesting concept 1x and when you need it 3-5x.
literally all I want from PA is for then to make a 1x microprism w/ ACSS on a T2 footprint. They'd own the red dot market over night.
Unity just came out with a 1.93 riser for the micro prism.
@@RichardBagg69420but I already have a Unity Micro riser and I'm running a Holosun HS515-gm green on it because my astigmatism is bad with red, and I can't see holographic sights. I'd move to a prism if I could keep the same mount and magnifier setup. I dont want to buy another mount.
Definitely becoming one of my favorite channels. No bullshit just brass facts 💪🏾
Its interesting looking back on my prism experience. i started out with a burris ar332. a good optic, ahead of its time in a way... but it was big and heavy, and the LPVO crazes came around.. so i sold it and went LPVO.. then i realized lpvo's are huge and heavy and then PA came out with the micro prisms.. and i got the 3x.. so bascially i went full circle kinda. now thinking back on the ar332, it did have a larger "eye field" than the Micro prism does, which definitely makes the image appear.. larger.. brighter.. more zoomed in.. the micro prisms are sharper/ crisper though. guess what.. all optics are compromises in SOME way. the trick is detemining whats best for your use application. genius huh..
Thank you for making this review. I have the PA micro prism 1x and love it. When I say this, I was intrigued but I thought the red dot mount looked sketchy. Thank you for confirming my suspicions lol
Excellent review! I think you nail it at the end: This optic fills the niche of a 5x magnified optic that is small and light. This is a great option for a light and handy rifle that can still easily reach to 500-600 yard range. I like my 1-8x Trijicon scope, and I like the fact that I can easily stretch to 1000 yards with the glass quality, but I dislike that its 34oz with the QD mount. I really like that this setup is only 8.5oz and about 10oz with a piggiback or off-set RDS. It makes a huge difference in rifle handling and usability.
That's actually a huge reason of why I do not like piggyback red dots, and instead offset them because it's a separate mounting system so if one optic gets knocked off chances are your other one is still good to go and vice versa rather than them both getting knocked off at the same time from the same drop
I still prefer the original 5x with Aurora, the larger diameter lens is better for light gathering in all visibility conditions especially fog or rain
Have that as well, fast becoming my favorite optic.
I have the OG 3x with the ADM cantilever and really like it as well.
"Tea belongs in the harbor" HAHAHAHA! Got a good long laugh out of that line. Thanks man. haha!
I got one of the first batches of the ACSS Nova 1-6x scope and just a heads up the illumination on mine is flickering under recoil. Primary Arms says they'll warranty it so I'll send it in and report back based on their response. Their customer service was very responsive btw.
Just throwin this out there as a thought, but if you need backup irons, why not put the rear site in front of the prism optic? Yes, I understand that you will lose some sight-radius that is important for accuracy with open sights, BUT if you remember that they are BACKUP iron sights, then your PRIMARY sighting system will work better. Unconventional thinking I know, but might be worth considering.
Answer: because people only toe an established line and forget that trying things for themselves is how to set things up for themselves. Your suggestion is a good one and something that works for many people, but because they don't see the special boys do it 90% of redditors will piss and shit
It's been a while, but I remember seeing Canadian soldiers with C7s with 3.4x (?) fixed power scopes with backup irons placed forward on the receiver. The 3.4x had a short eye relief and a long mount, so forward was the only place to put the BUIS.
. Not going to be able to see iron sights through a prism optic in my experience. You won’t be able to focus through the prism and irons and get any kind of sight picture. Something to do with the light being taken in not being collimated .
You'll need to find a rear sight that isn't the normal peep sight that are on AR's. The further you put a peep from your eye the harder it is to actually see the front post through the sight
You would have to peel off whatever optic went down and then use your iron sights, you're backup sights.45 mount different.
@brassfacts, give this a try. It's starting to be ran sometimes in competition. Run the 3x prism on the offset, and a normal dot in the normal place. It's weird but makes sense fairly quick at least in the context of action shooting.
That PA red dot piggyback mount thingy defines hinkiness.
Would be interested to see this thing run with a 30-45 degree receiver mounted offset red dot - sounds like the way to go.
PA makes a 45° offset mount that bolts right onto it.
@@conorfoster2337that’s right. Subject to durability (I wouldn’t know) I’d say that’s the smart play
Prism gang rise up!
love your reviews. Thanks for putting in the work.
To fix the mount issue, just use the stronger straight mount and put the rear back up sight in front the optic on the rail. Then you have durability and proper eye relief. Plus it's just a backup iron sight so what's losing 2 inches in sight radius. And you have an etched reticle in the prism anyway.
isn't that what I said?
@@BrassFacts my bad I honestly thought I didn't hear that.
I love my 3x micro prism. Not too much magnification for the two eyes open sub 100 meter shots. Just enough magnification for easy 100-300 meter shots. I use the cantilever because if it breaks I'll just defer to irons. Love it being light weight I'd rather have too little on my rifle than too much.
I got the exact same setup but I have to put my irons in front lol
@@lithium1770 I keep the rear sight under the cantilever. I figure with an etched reticle that the only reason I would need irons is if the glass broke, in which case I would knock the scope off with a "rock or something"
@@christianmccall4542maybe spend the $100 and get the ADM cantilever mount with QD so you can enjoy the eye relief and not have to resort to a 🪨 if you need to remove it😂😂😂😂 🍻
Fuck yeah. Lunch video on time
Perfect timing…I was just looking at these
As someone with an astigmatism the revival of micro prism sights has been a real boon for me. I hated red dots for years and used to shoot irons instead and it took me way to long to figure out why I liked Elcans and ACOGs. I thought I was just a snob
I have an astigmatism, old eyes and right handed/left eye dominant.. Red dots are a no go for me. And I’ve always struggled to transition sides..
What caught my eye on this little guy is the acss reticle which I wanted to try and the small cant mount because I like to run backup irons. The 5x was out of stock and I really didn’t want to spend that kind of money to just try it out then ending up trying to sell it and taking a hit so I got the 3x. And I’m SOOO glad I did.
I dropped this little guy in front of my rear sight and found I not only had no problem seeing thru it with my stock even extended all the way out (which I don’t run that far out, but nice knowing I can) I can see it right handed also. I’ve been spending hours running around my house clearing rooms and transitioning side to side and all though some fine tuning may be needed I’m actually able to do it without a massive struggle. Running around with both eyes open I can still see the reticle fine and have a good depth perception even at very close range. I’m thinking with practice I will be fully capable of using this little dude in close quarters transitioning sides, something I’ve always thought I’d never figure out and be even remotely decent at..
I love using my 1x microcprism with a 3x micro magnifier.
I have the 5x on a cheaper setup. I have the 5x with their new 45 degree offset for a dot. I have to say I like the set up.
I did use the cantilever to get the proper eye relief. I have no idea about the durability, but I always like 45 degree setup over the piggyback. I find it much easier and quicker to use.
I loooooove my Vortex 5. It hasn’t taken any serious hits but it seems to be holding up well. It’s very fast, and forgiving.
They are close to $200 on PSA right now. I love mine.
Spitfire 5x is the best "the ACOG we have at home" solution. With the PA RS-10 or the Stiener MPS, it's a great system.
The ACOG we have at home? How dare you? How daaaaare you?! The Vortex has more mag, more FOV, bigger eye box AND eye relief. It is the Brazilian swimsuit model of prism optics!
I've had one for several weeks now, and have really surprised myself at how much I like it. I'm thinking about getting another just to have on hand in case I ever need it.
I have one and it broke just by turning the turrets during the zeroing. It is garbage.
Moreover, light transmission, FOV and glass quality are really mediocre at best.
I bought an acog instead and it was wayyyy better.
Big fan of my Vortex Spitfire Gen 2 5x. Much simpler piggyback optic setup, and a more simple reticle. I also just have the perfect neck length for it. I still have a pretty good check weld using the piggybacked, and the eye relief is more than good enough for me.
I have the same Vortex setup and agree. Nice and simple, no putting one between the other. Cheers, man.
Looked at one of those (Vortex 5x Spitfire) the other day. Good glass and sensible reticle. The eye relief and eye box were unworkable for me. I doubt I’d feel any different about the PA 5x; I just figure high-magnification microprisms aren’t my jam.
I do like PA’s 2x prism, which isn’t all that micro and is light years more forgiving to use.
Great review. I’m entirely aligned with the modern scout rifle theory. I think this on something like a POF Rogue or Ruger SFAR with an offset would be a great scout combo.

I've been waiting for this video from brassfax
Damn this was going to be my next optic setup.
Thanks for this review. Saved me from a bad purchase. I hope PA figures this out because I like them overall.
I hope they make a 2x prism in the smaller configuration. I think it'd be nice for a lightweight, 14.5 build that's easy to use up close and gives you a little magnification for reaching out a little more than a red dot alone (w/o a magnifier).
@@andreivaldez2929 There is virtually no difference between 2 and 3. Also, PA doesn't make the sights different in body for a reason, it cuts down cost (and you really can't achieve much lighter than these prism, shit is absurd light as it is).
I buy the adm, keep the straight riser, amd throw the other gooseneck mounts in the trash.
I just got the 3x in green and love it, maybe try that or the older version 5x prism is still really good (I have the 3x OG with the ADM cantilever and love that as well).
Vortex spitfire 5x with a Burris fastfire 4 is my new fave gpr setup. After seeing BrassF break the PA piggyback mount, I am elated

Just got my 1x last week. Having astigmatism the etched reticle is nice compared to my dot gubs. Might consider picking up either a 3x prism or one of their magnifiers.
Great video man
ACOG GANG!!! In all seriousness, great content as always.
I got the Vortex 5x microprism, works decently well on my brn-180.The rail is slightly higher and extends further back than an AR so for eye relief it works great with the included low mount. paid 450, now i'm kinda wishing i'd waited for a better deal but I wanted to have something on there. I haven't mounted an mrds on it yet, as i wanted an enclosed one, and the only one i know of that'll fit the vortex/docter footprint out of the box is the steiner, which is ugly and has a different battery size. so if anyone knows a solution for that lmk.
I picked up a Vortex 5X for $199 and topped it with a Primary Arms pistol RDS for $170. It has an unfortunate Doctor/Noblex pattern. It took a few tries to find a mount with some "cantilever" and the right mounting height. Vector Optics makes a 0.5" tall T1 mount with about 0.5" of cantilever. It works for me and allows a carry handle height RDS and the 5X below.
I like the idea of stacked optics and was excited to add to my Primary Arms prism collection with the combo reviewed. I guess I will wait for a better top RDS mount before I purchase.
Adapter plates are abundant though, and using the Acro or MPS were they clamp on, its a really sturdy setup.
@coltonowens2742 I did look into adapter plates as well as getting a Vortex RDS with the proper mount. I just wish it had the RMR footprint. The Primary Arms 12% coupon made the decision for me, and i went that route. I really like the PA RDS, and I am happy with the features it has. I have an astigmatism, and the dot looks ok. Plus, it has automatic ON with movement.
I scored a vortex 5x for 199$ also, could not say no to that deal, was going to get the primary arms micro 5x when it came out because I have the pa3x prism on an ak and really like it, I used the PA T2 cantilever mount (59$ )on the vortex 5x to bring it back a bit.

What would you say are the pros vs cons of the vortex 5x vs PA 5x prism? Looking to decide on one soon. Also, is it possible to mount a full size red dot like the Aimpoint Micro? That'd be pretty badass. At first I saw the T2 footprint as a negative since i like trijicon rmr's but it doesn't sound too bad
@BrassFacts I run that exact same piggy back setup with my 3x and I haven't had any of those problems. Really nice setup in my opinion.
this matches my experience, sadly. I was super hyped for the 5x, pre-ordered it as soon as it was available, after months of harassing PA employees on various social media platforms for a release date.
the prism itself isn't bad. it's pretty decent, actually. it's extremely small and lightweight, the glass quality is good but not great, and the eye relief/eye box are also good but not great. I like the reticle a lot, not surprising as I tend to love all things ACSS. I'd willingly trade some size and weight for additional eye box/eye relief/glass clarity, however.
the piggyback mount is a bit of a mess though. flimsy is the word I would use to describe it. it's just not a good design.
Great video my man! Prism optics are pretty cool. End of the world optics fr.
I needed to watch this. Good video about a prism scope. But I needed to watch that wonderful dog
Let’s fucking gooooooooooo thank you I’ve been waiting so long
Vortex Spitfire 5x is something I will want until I get one probably. It looks dope on paper and only bigger issues are Zeroing steps and the Eye relief. If they made a gen 3 with a rearwards swept Mount, 0.5 moa click's and the RMR or Glock MoS pattern mounting on top
I had one and it was really mediocre. The turrets broke during zeroing. I bought an acog instead and it is by realllyyyy far better
PSA has them on sale for $200. I previously considered one for $450, but ended up with an LPVO instead. The $650 MSRP is ludicrous. For $200 I'm willing to give it a try.
your vids deserve more views
Saw this coming miles away when i first saw the piggyback mount posted on instagram. Looked flimsy at best and it really is.
One thing I will say as I just bought the vortex 5x, it is frequently on sale in a bunch of places. I got mine for $199 off PSA. Absolutely phenomenal for that price. Also since it is on a t2 footprint, you can get any t2 mount you want and conveniently PA makes one that is swept back. The absolute cowitness height one of those fits the vortex perfectly due to the built in rise it has and makes a nice lower 1/3 height to get over the FSP if you have one like I do. The video from Flatlander Gear is what sold me on the optic and gave me the idea for the PA mount. Definitely recommend checking that out for anyone interested.
Flatlander sold me on the 5x to. That dude makes some seriously good content.

That'd be pretty badass. At first I saw the T2 footprint as a negative since i like trijicon rmr's but it doesn't sound too bad
@@mr.c.3760 I do not own a PA 5x so I cannot speak much to it's pros and cons. One pro I can give the PA 5x is the reticle. I like it's reticle design and capabilities more than the vortex. The vortex one isn't bad I just with is had more ranging like the PA does. One con I would say is I am not too trusting of the PA SLx line. That's the cheapest line and while I am sure they are good enough, I don't like that prospect. I have the PA GLx (mid range line) 2x optic and it's beautiful. It's robust, clear, bright and not that expensive. It's only con is that it's only 2x which isn't enough for what I am wanting but that's quite subjective.
As for you question on the red dot, it's designed to work with the Vortex Viper or Venom sights. There may be a adapter plate from the Vortex/Burris/Noblex footprint to another one but I am not sure.
Also the T2 footprint is the 5x optic, not the top red dot mount. The Optic itself uses the same mounts that the T2 uses, so it can use any mount that would be marketed for the T2.
@@coltonowens2742 I agree. Flatlander makes some great stuff.
I saw an adapter to mount PA microprisms in place of the rear sight on a Garand/m1a, I wonder how this 5x would do for that.

Like bro that's just called a scope, you should try one.
15:30 I did a review on the Sig Bravo 5 last week, and I wouldn't recommend it over the TA32. It weighs more than twice the SLx 5x or the Spitfire Gen2 5x. The eyebox issues are just as bad as the other prism optics, and the reticle issues you had with the SLx3x are much worse.
Also the piggy back mount only works with the factory mount. Tried to use it with a midway mini acog mount and it won't line up major let down.
I have this on a dedicated “hiking” gun. Offset irons for short range/backup. Very lightweight build designed to be carried outdoors more than shot.
2 points: 1/4 moa adjustment is a big advantage over comparable optics like the vortex, if…
2nd - chrono and test the ammo you want to use and put the numbers in Strelok to see how the holds will work for you.
If your gun doesn’t have a high precision load that matches up with the reticle, it is kind of a waste.
If you can’t match the reticle with 1.5 moa or better, then I agree that a 1x prism or red dot, magnifier, and MPBR zero are a better choice.
The Sig Bravo 4 was actually really cool.
Great videos as always.
Dang. Was close to buying that setup minus the PA micro dot.
Looks like ima wait until they remake the hood.
I have a 1x, 2.5x, and 3x prism (on different rifles). Love them all.
Just move rear backup sight in front of optic
Your man who shall not be named stash looks good.
Brassfackts is such a smart boy. I love him.
I’ve been on the fence about getting the 3x micro prism. I’ve had the 1x for a few years now and it has been great. Also been checking out their FFP 4-14 and 4-16 scopes for 300 beans but they add a lot more weight to the system than the micro prism. Great video as always
CANTILEVER!
Speaking of said cantilever. I have the full size 5x mounted on a ptr91. Why did i do this because i didn't listen to hop. To push the optic far back enough with a standard g3 stock i had to get the ADM riser and offset....... then because i still didn't have enough offset because im stubborn and didn't take my rear drum sight off i added a KRAM spacer/offset to really make it past the drum for eye relief..... yea suboptimal set up and I've forgone this set up after trying to love it and just gone with an LVPO and taken off the rear drum.
So ask me about cantilever
I LOVE the older not micro 3X CQB ACSS reticle version.
The "hello kitty" reticle is now an "angry bird" reticle. I was concerned about eye box with a design like this.
So for the one grab and go rifle, would you recommend the primary arms 3x GLx full size or still the smaller 3x SLx?
Always great content.
The mount on the spitfire is a concern I didn't really think about prior. I looked into those the other day, the thing i didn't like is that it appears as though the only dots you can mount on top are viper and venom, which for me is basically a no go because i consider the piggyback location to be in a compromised spot that accentuates the probability and severity of impacts. Maybe other dots can be mounted and i was mistaken, but if not, I own a venom and don't have warm fuzzies about its durability. Offset would be a decent solution of course but muh passive aiming.
Hi there i use the slx x3 for squirrel hunting here at uk its clear down to 15 yards is the x5 clear at close range around 15 yards ,thanks
I rub the 3x and it kicks ass. Def red dot bright. Definitely skip the cantilever mount, just run it at the very rear pic rail section. Because it’s etched, I don’t feel the need to worry about BUIS or red dot.
Just put a red dot on a dedicated angled mount ahead of the prism and call it a day. Trex arms sells em at a decent price and they’re pretty solid
I’ve had the 1x since it came out and the small cantilever mount failed to hold zero just getting bounced around vehicles. The optic part is likable though.
That’s pretty striking about the loss of zero.
The Midwest Industries mini ACOG QD mount would be a good solution for the 1x, I’d bet. I have used it on the PA GLx 2x prism with good results. (I would be less confident recommending it for the PA 3x or 5x because it’s a straight mount and the 3x & 5x really seem to be eye weld gang: I.e. you need a cantilever.)
@@FMDad-dm5qo I've been looking at that exact mount actually. Right now I just have it on a .22 and it's fine there.
Edit: I should say that by "vehicles" I mean farm trucks and tractors that rarely see pavement. Not exactly the friendliest environment but not the worst.
I went with the Vector micro prism. But this is a good option, just a little extra money.
How is the red dot height? Is it natural transition between them and feels good doing so?
I'm sure you've answered this elsewhere but i cant find anything about it. What front rail system is that on that AR? I love those large size holes.
I think you've answered this before, but what's the name of that hand guard again? I'm looking to build a somewhat retro rifle and that hand guard is very appealing, since it has the room for the FSB.
This thing needs an immediate redesign to accommodate a dot on the top that is direct mount. I'll never buy this with the garbage shroud and was very much in the market for one.
“5.56 get its shit pushed in…by wind”
Bruh 😂
Gotta love a good eyeball weld
i have the 1x and 3x. they are great, but im probably not going to get the 5x. I WOULD however like the 5x reticle on the 3x model. I put a adm qd mount on the 3x with some BUIS.
I would love to try this one, I have the Gen III which seems another bigger.
@BrassFacts could you mount the rear sight in front of the optic? Then you could put the straight riser on the optic and put it all the way back for the proper eye relief.
Random unrelated question: what pack is that you’re running? It looks like a mystery ranch tri-zip on a FILBE frame? Anyway, Great video!
DG3 crossfire
Sick, thanks man!
I know this is off topic a little but what's all in the upper on the rifle you used forward of the pivot pin?
“5.56 gets its sheeit pushed in by wind.” Nice shout out to training day! 👍😎
Why run the rear flip sight with a cantilever on the optic that prevents you from using the flip sight anyway? Just ditch the rear sight and move the optic back...?
How do you get that over mount for it and does it come available for the 3x? Cuz I just ordered one literally 10 mins ago for a 7inch psa 556 with a sb pdw psa lower
PSA had the Vortex Spitfire gen 2 5x for $199 the other month, and I totally underestimated the quality. For that price, once it drops that low again I'll be 100% getting another
It's on clearance now for $199
I gave up on all the optics choices. I think the LED 3.5x35 ACOG with front mounted RMR is the best possible all around scope for my AO and usage.
This content is neat. I think i’ll sub
