The 40 year old guy having a mid life crisis is fundamentally irritating and massively wrong about the biological basis of sexual orientation. This generation has not deconstructed anything or provided any sound reasoning. It’s incredibly frustrating when people his age are ignorant and overtly politically motivated. You can tell some of the other guys were annoyed by him.
I am far too homonormative for Pride and find the Q community too large to suit anybody. The concluding question reminded me of Miss Brodie asking her class, "Who is the greatest Italian painter?" and responding to the answer, "Leonardo daVinci," with, "That is incorrect. The answer is Giotto; he is my favourite.:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! This video! My hair was so poofy and not my septum being not straight (well neither am I LOL)! Thank you for an AMAZING video. This will easily go down as 1 of my favorites that I have ever been apart of!
@@Saidnoone it does not apply only to straight people, im guessing you have that impression because you dont see alot of straight who actually know what the word means, whereas gay people are surrounded by trans and non binary people, people who question gender, and so they use the word more often in their vocabulary. The whole thing about cis and straight, is that, if you are both, you arent the type of person who will feel societal pressure to question your identity and so the word "cis" doesnt get used much by you. Unless youre trans or non-binary, you are cisgender. Its also used alot by people in the medical profession, for actually a long time, maybe 100s years but id look that up. Medical people deal with intersex, trans and nonbinary ppl so it makes sense they would know and use the word more.

I’m bisexual and work at a Lutheran school and they know and are accepting of me. Now the Catholic Church makes me uncomfortable because we got kicked out of the church because my parents got divorced. I have been in the Catholic Church and it’s just not for me. I identify more with the kindness parts of the Bible because that’s what should be taught.
I'm sorry that you went through that but, in defense of the Catholic Church, I'll say that it probably depends on the country. I went to a catholic school from when I was 3 till when I was 18 and priests gave me classes, and I've had the majority of them admit that they'd be happy to marry homosexual couples if the Pope allowed it to happen. Ofc, I'm not invalidating your experience and I'm so sorry that that happened to you, but I think countries and different cultures affect the way religion or religious people think about other groups.
TBH, you'd need to have a pretty skewed view of doctrine to think that most religions are at all accepting of Gay people. Every single one I can think of has specific parts which specifically state it's forbidden. I don't know why anyone would want to be a part of a community that actively hates them or suppresses their own holy book to accept them.
In the uk its virtually impossible to show affection or hold hands with your boyfriend without receiving verbal homophobic abuse or been stared at and given funny looks, so life is easier just to not bother xx
I’m in London right now and whenever I dress up anything colourful, I get sneered at, stared at, laughed at. I wanted to think that it’s because of my poor fashion choices. 😂 But I’m starting to think that a lot of people here are ignorant 😂😂😂
This is good, but could be better if participants JUST CHOSE A SIDE!! and if they offer too much backstory, it's sound like they are trying hard to justify their stance, which makes it seem like they really don't beleive their stance. Choose a side, this has been my experience, and that's that.
Once again a very sincere and wholesome video! Thank you, Brian! If you’re going to do more of these, I’d love to see even more variety in the groups, like having a trans gay man as well and more age differences. ❤
i love these episodes, most people who are casted are smart and say eye opening stuff. please make other videos for lesbians, bisexuals, different genders.
For me as a bi guy living in Florida, the fact that NO ONE went to “strongly disagree” on the “I feel safe holding hands” was shocking. I am in a long term wonderful marriage and we already know that hand holding (any form of affection really) is off the table completely in public. It has to be a explicitly queer location to even consider.
Probably because all these guys live in very liberal areas (you can tell by how they dress). Where I live you can't tell gay from straight men and you'd get yelled at and possibly attacked as two men holding hands.
depends where you are, in the uk its fine but at the end of the day i feel like affection in public no matter the sexuality is a no go, save it for the privacy of your own home.
@@communismwillbeeradicated.6128 “nomatter the sexuality” thats very hypocritical because your ignoring that this is actually a real problem , queer people are being killed for kissing or holding hands in public!! Not straight people , why shouldn’t queer people be allowed the same privileges and opportunities that straight people have when it comes to them living their life for something as simple as kissing someone or holding hands in public , its not something as sexual as you make it out to be
Dating for gay men is significantly harder than it is for straight men. we talk about lgtbq issues all the time especially online as if were like 50% of the worlds population when in reality we are only 10% of the world population and that is shared with lesbians, bisexual women, etc. We dont have the option to just like anyone, we have to know whose gay, also not every gay person feels like part of the lgbtq community so we rarely ever meet another gay person, Im from the UK and the option here are terrible and every time I meet someone attractive or develop feeling for, always turns out be straight, dont think I've ever met a gay person who has made my heart race or developed any feelings for. Its interesting how one of the dude in this had to say sorry for liking masculine men, its funny how we have kink shaming, slut shaming, fat shaming but preference shaming in the gay community is fine apparently :/

Are we going to ignore Dolly Parton on the last question? Just the vast number of songs she has written and published surpass probably any other artist. Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" is written by Dolly Parton, for example.
For me the distinctions are the same as with the greater society; its class warfare. LOL. I am more refined than a lot of street people; I read. I follow the cultural landscape. I form my opinions based on my experience. I have never lived in a ghetto, so I cant identify with boys who have. They have probably not seen the Metropolitan Opera or American Ballet Theatre in performance. Or worked for one of the Swans.
Just half way in but I think I had enough. At the born gay part; while it is very obvious to me they lack good sexual education, probably not just that. Knowing what I know about US educations. What I take most issue with is when the 30 y/o is talking about fluidity more or less and the spectrum aspect like this is "new" only the past 10 years or so we spoke about that. And that is not true.... Kinsey scale is a spectrum, that is older than 10 years. Trans-ness is not new, the gender spectrum theory is also not just 10 years old. I am Dutch, from the Netherlands, born 1980 thus I am 13 years older than the oldest gay in that group, and some reactions are just head scratchers to me. I understand my culture is very different from the US culture... Amsterdam is known for the wallen, red-light district and prostitution - which is legal, sex work is legal, drugs like cannabis all my life there were shops you could buy it legally in small amounts. Hell we are even the first country in the modern age that had legalized same sex marriages. We are not a Puritan culture. It is like watching Americans answer basic knowledge questions and they can't answer "correct", like they live in a semi own reality disconnected from the rest of the Western democratic worlds. Like the Hawaii raised person stating it was very heteronormative how he was raised, but this not being a reason why he had a girlfriend however he always was attracted to men. Bless him he is still young. Ever since 9/11 I have been disillusioned by the USA, and since 2016 - it took a very deep nose dive. With facts that 54% of Americans have a literacy level below 6th grade, is very telling. It makes me wonder why we the social media/globe is still paying that much attention to the USA cause they lost it a little.
that last question - i literally don't care - this just shows how trivial we gays can be for sure and if thats the most incendiary question that could be asked, well sorry but we're lost 😞
I like that this discussions are being had!!! I feel they're important to listen to different perspectives and literally see that there are many ways to look at a certain issue. I also feel they are a good starting point for people that have no idea about diversity and want to start dipping their toes into all the new ideas we can find around diversity and other important topics. 😁
I resent the fact that persons who are not gay, who have lifestyles and goals that I would never want, have the gaul to include themselves in my tent. Go away, go build your own tent.
I am pleasantly surprised to see feminine men that don’t hate other feminine men and are open to dating either. It’s so common to see feminine gay men that refuse to even look at any men that look and act like they do.
Great insight seeing all this!! Hope this can help others understand and accept that each human is different and no one is exactly identical to anyone else! GET IT GENTS!
I am both queer and a devout roman Catholic and it's so wild how much the gay community has misconceptions about Christianity. The Church welcomes everyone. Period. It is sad that this myth is constantly pushed in the queer community.
I know! I was raised Catholic and I knew I was gay since I was really young. I always loved god and the church I thought it was so beautiful… I remember telling my priest that I’m gay and I’m thankful to this day that he accepted me into the church and told me to continue to be a amazing person and just pray every night before bed. I’m definitely one of the few gay people who really love god.
All of the Abrahamic faiths are homophobic at their core. The majority of LGBT people aren't religious because y'all have been killing us for millennia. You don't get to sugar coat your awful cults that to this day are on TV calling LGBT people groomers and worse.
Religion question depends upon relegion and your own defination of connection with god hinduism accpets gay people... then there are people who dont follow relegion but belive in god
the holding hands one is interesting - yes it depends where you are - you wouldn't do it in a muslim country for sure - but in most western countries people just do not care if they see two guys holding hands - they may look, there may be some who comment, but my experience is that its just accepted if you do it naturally as it were?
what an amazing video like wow too good there was some moments were i was like arguing to my computer screen then understanding it after it was discussed please we need more i feel like ive never seen something queer based this educational and good at the same time
@@BrianTerada Being gay is a lie, being lesbian is a lie, being trans is a lie, what else there to say? We all been deceived on a major scale. Whence the truth been known, it can stop a heart. Truth can blow a mind, as the lies collapse. The reality is opposite to what we been told. Many live in delusions and proudly so. Can a soul survive, while seeking truth? Can a mind stay sane, as lies get exposed? Can a heart stay beating, whence the old life collapsed? What a wonderful testimonies from souls, as they found the truth. What a heartbreaking tragedy from those who stayed in lies. Be fruitful and multiply is a message for the matures. One male one female, thats how you make a home. But where`s the adults, the wise and the old? Who supposed to share the truth, where`s lies been told? Who would give out healthy advice as they say; have some alone time. Think and analyse the life road you are on and where does it take you and why is it so?. Many complain about the evil, then why they bowing down? Why they serve the master of many lies? Many call themselves “educated”, yet fill their minds with lies. Lies which been told by masons, again and again. As time passes by, many seek not the truth, they perish away and dying twice. Enlapekaf news once told, actors are neither males nor females, have we ever dared to ask, why is it so? And where`s the worry about the children, that we expose them to perverts? And telling a child, it is okay to be cut apart? Many complain about the evil, so you`re telling we good? Like the father of lies, who lie - steal and kill, the same we do, lie - steal and kill.

Walking down the street holding hands, I don’t feel comfortable, my nearest major city had a very recent hate crime incident *in the gay district* a group of straight guys called a gay couple over to their car after they spotted them walking down the street holding hands and glassed one of them in the face and beat them. They were horrifically disfigured, in a place that was supposed to be a safe space for all of us. The group was convicted with committing a hate crime. I admire couples that have the guts to do it but I personally couldn’t.
im pansexual, and i definitely had to learn to separate god and religion. When i was learning and discovering my sexuality and i was very lost , I was at one of the darkest time of my life , finding out i was getting cheated on after wasting time w this man for three years, also mourning my dog of 17 years, and being in rehab, i completely gave up on pray and begging for god to give me a break because i was close to following through with my S* Ideations. I gave up because i realized that i was gay and there had to be a reason why those who claim to be very close to “god” say we go straight to hell. but thats only because they believe that gay relationships are led by Lust and the Devil. We all should advocate that even homosexuals CAN have their own communication with god and don’t have to label themselves. Labeling yourself shoves you in a box and makes others have a perspective that you follow all the “rules” in the religion. i can keep going on but theres soo much to say and point out. Im still lost but im finding time to communicate with whoever this higher power is. You can still have spiritual connection without labeling your religion.
Love it!!!!! I'd like to see more diversity, people from other country, religious, and also people who talks un neutral way, I mean not in their own perspective
15:26 to 16:20 Okay, I can agree to some extent, but very little. Especially towards minorities within a minority groups. Sure asking for help and picking them up in a bad spot is great, but when they already felt alone in the community because of people within their own community, I would think that is a tad flawed. The one who was on agree side basically seems to have a bubble that he can go back into at anytime with no problem. As for the ones who changed their answers again still a bubble.
Agreed, we do not all think the same or feel the same. It is like say all white people think the same. Or all women think the same. In any group out there, we still have diversity.

First off - LOVE this so much!! I do think that the answers to so many of these questions depend so much on where you live.
15:13 I completely agree with this. And it’s not to say it’s not a toxic behavior, just that it takes a different form. This is a societal problem.
lol "I'm both itself (masculine and feminine)'.... um, no, u r not masculine at all honey.
Sorry, I laughed when he said that as well. I feel bad for laughing 💀
Yes, we absolutely do, we actually share a hive mind.
He’s a “sis white man who’s gay ”? I thought sis means straight
its cis, short for cisgender. Meaning his gender agrees with his sex. So he is both male(sex) and identifies as a man(gender)
@@billibilliyou oh thank you. But oh my gosh. So why do people call straight people cis?

I am sorry that you went through that. They should have never done that.
@@loslibrosdecarangi yeah I agree, I came out to my Catholic Church when I was 12 and to this day I’m thankful my priest accepted me
TBH, you'd need to have a pretty skewed view of doctrine to think that most religions are at all accepting of Gay people.
Every single one I can think of has specific parts which specifically state it's forbidden. I don't know why anyone
would want to be a part of a community that actively hates them or suppresses their own holy book to accept them.
You are not "reifying the culture's femophobia or transphobia or whatever" by having a "preference for masculinity". 🤦🏿♂
Fr, gays took the woke to extreme levels even going to a bar serves no purpose. 🤷🏿♂️ I’m not trying to appease victimhood
I read that as soon as it came up lmao
Why did they do that only with woke dudes?

In the uk its virtually impossible to show affection or hold hands with your boyfriend without receiving verbal homophobic abuse or been stared at and given funny looks, so life is easier just to not bother xx

This is good, but could be better if participants JUST CHOSE A SIDE!! and if they offer too much backstory, it's sound like they are trying hard to justify their stance, which makes it seem like they really don't beleive their stance. Choose a side, this has been my experience, and that's that.
Please cut the ponytail off. It ages you.
Once again a very sincere and wholesome video! Thank you, Brian!
If you’re going to do more of these, I’d love to see even more variety in the groups, like having a trans gay man as well and more age differences. ❤
This video is about gay men, not autoandrophilic straight women on testosterone.
Girl okay Lmfao
i love these episodes, most people who are casted are smart and say eye opening stuff.
please make other videos for lesbians, bisexuals, different genders.
@@Scar-jg4bnin the Carribean or some parts of africa you’ll definitely get hatecrimed

@@communismwillbeeradicated.6128 “nomatter the sexuality” thats very hypocritical because your ignoring that this is actually a real problem , queer people are being killed for kissing or holding hands in public!!
Existing dating app or gay locals/beaches/bathouse/cruise, It Is really easier for gay men, trust me. Obviously you must settle you. 10% of male population are anyway a lot people

Wow. This was a great conversation! VERY powerful when the question was : " Do gay people support one another?"
You are probably lost, but not the rest of us.
Brian is the best, always makes my day❤ was having such a bad day
I like that this discussions are being had!!!
Go away, go build your own tent.
kenny you’re awesome! loved your opinions
I am pleasantly surprised to see feminine men that don’t hate other feminine men and are open to dating either. It’s so common to see feminine gay men that refuse to even look at any men that look and act like they do.
I mean do they have any choice 😂. Most men in Los Angeles are flaming gays 😂

Hahaha you’re welcome 😂
I’m definitely one of the few gay people who really love god.
i don't think you can blame any queer person for loathing christianity...it is a literal life/death reason.

@@BrianTerada Being gay is a lie,
being lesbian is a lie,
being trans is a lie,
what else there to say?
As time passes by, many seek not the truth,
they perish away and dying twice.
Enlapekaf news once told, actors are neither males nor females,
have we ever dared to ask, why is it so?
And where`s the worry about the children, that we expose them to perverts?
And telling a child, it is okay to be cut apart?
Many complain about the evil, so you`re telling we good?
Like the father of lies, who lie - steal and kill, the same we do,
lie - steal and kill.
I hate that not being sexually attracted to femme guys has become some taboo topic or you have to be pc about it

Okay, I can agree to some extent, but very little. As for the ones who changed their answers again still a bubble.
glad to escape the world for a little bit thanks Brian.
Agreed, we do not all think the same or feel the same. It is like say all white people think the same. Or all women think the same. In any group out there, we still have diversity.
