That car is like a tank, 5 years now, nothing serious, parts are cheap, easy to find, I do almost everything DIY and I'm not even close to mechanic, just got some tools. Easier to servise, than any newer diesel. Best car audi ever made.
Yeah parts are just a struggle to find too if I'm not mistaken. I want one of them and could afford one but concerned on reliability really. Don't want a car that I have to spend months finding parts and not getting scammed.
The reliability is great, I've got one since 2016 and It never had any big problems, It's just very important to maintain it. I have never struggled finding any parts, because there is still a lot you can get at the audi dealership. Mine now has 110k kilometers/ 68k miles. As long as you treat it well, it will stay in good condition. Always warm up the engine
@Jesse Tabak Ah you know I've heard from others that probably don't own the car say parts are tough. Thus is good to know. BTW do you daily drive it or does it sit around? Huge difference on if items will fail or not.
@@zeae1183 I used to daily drive it like 10k kms in a year, but since they are hard to find with low Kilometers I only drive it daily with nice weather. Yh I've never had any problems to buy new parts
@@jessetabak4987any problems with the manifold? Did you do flaps delete? There is one listed now in Dubai Japanese spec done 60,000 km But am scared how it will tolerate the heat here
@@nayagoesglobal No I didn't and I never had any problems. but I'm surely planning on removing them, because I don't want to get any problems either and get them sucked into the engine! which could end up in replacing the whole engine.
The only generation A8 and the one before this are the only ones I really like.
Now that I can afford a used one (around 20k for a decent one with less than 150k KMS) I am just way to scared of the upkeep 😂
You can do it. It's not that bad. Do your oil changes, and if you don't want air suspension, you can just get coilovers.
If you're too* scared of upkeep, get a Corolla.
Don't be...a lot of VW Parts fit just warm it up before driving it.
