I was watching another Linkara video today and some more things occurred to me about that issue. This is a long one. 1- The villain says he wants teenagers to avoid going to college so he can become the smartest man in the world. What about all the people who had previously graduated? Was he going to kill them? 2- What about all the smart people who hadn't graduated college? There are very smart people that never went to college for one reason or another (They couldn't afford it and never applied for a scholarship, they had to enter the workforce right out of high school to support their families, they decided to enlist in the armed forces out of high school and decided not to further their education after their enlistment had ended, they were an athlete so skilled they were able to join a professional team right after high school graduation, etc.), so what about them? 3- What about the people who went to vocational school, or got an apprenticeship, and learned a trade? Does this book treat them as somehow inferior for doing hands-on work, or does it ignore them entirely? 4- What about the people who pursue a college education later in life? Just because someone decides not to enter college as a teen doesn't mean they'll never enter college. 5- Speaking of age, there are some prodigies who graduate college in their early teens or even earlier. Imagine if you will Young Sheldon becoming 18 years old, being approached by one of the villain's agents who tries to dissuade him from going to college, and telling the agent, "Oh, I already graduated from college years ago!" before subjecting him to a dry lecture about the term paper he wrote on why he prefers Star Trek to football. This issue even fails by its own logic.
The best part about Dr. Doom's plan in Ultimates 3? That wasn't actually Doom, but Sue and Johnny's mother who took over for him when he was trapped in the Marvel Zombies Universe. Retcons! Making stupid villain plans even dumber!
Doctor Doom: Literally one of the smartest people alive. Leader of the most technologically advanced...Slavic...Serbian...former Eastern Bloc...???...state in the world. A scientific genius in numerous fields that probably would have won 20 different Nobel Prizes by now if he weren't a (sometimes well-meaning, sometimes incredibly selfish and petty) asshole. Doctor Doom: Literally creates a Dr. Doofensmirtz plan. And fails just as spectacularly at dominating the tri-state area.
Fun fact: The Ultimate Doctor Doom on the list is not even the REAL Doctor Doom, but actually the Human Torch's mother since the real Doom was trapped in the zombie universe at the time!

Love how the pro-college propaganda comic assumes that a college degree equals instant high paying job without mentioning that you need experience WORKING at such low paying, intelligence insulting jobs. And that's even if you eventually GET something in your field.
If that supervillain wanted to take over the world, the smarter plan would be to open up a debt collection agency. But then it couldn't be propaganda if it were based in reality or logic.
The Asthma Monster would have made more sense if he'd been the owner of a major pharmaceutical company and wanted to spread asthma to make more people buy his company's inhalers (Bonus points if the asthma he spreads is different from regular asthma so that only HIS inhalers are effective against it)
Another problem with the #2 plan is that they assume that Kurt will keep using his image inducer as a priest. What happens if he decided to start preaching to a mutant-heavy community (like one of several in NYC alone) and goes as his natural form to help draw in more people to his parish?
I mean, in Evangelion's case it's less stupidity and more the fact most of the cast is pretty broken. As in, there's probably two or three functioning human beings in the series and that's it.

I have to vote for Reverse-Flash's "plot" in Flashpoint. He gets the Flash to go back in time to stop him from killing Flash's parents, so history is changed and the world is destroyed. Yes, this allows him to kill Flash, since he is now a paradox and can exist without the Flash, but since it also brings about the end of the world, not sure how long he will be able to enjoy his victory.

You would think he might want to run back in time a little bit and make a few changes so he has somewhere to live after Flash is dead.

In that case, as my memory is not all that great for Flashpoint, I am not sure, but I seem to recall it was implied Thawne somehow manipulated Flash into doing it, though I don't think it is spelled out. Or maybe I just thought that was the case, since Flash suddenly doing something like that, to the benefit of Thawne, seems a bit random.

It's a line from a fan subtitled episode of the anime Death Note. The subtitle was "All according to keikaku" on the bottom with additional text at the top of the screen saying "Translator's Note: Keikaku means Plan". You thought Harvest's debut in The Culling was dull and uninteresting. Oh boy, just wait until you get to the conclusion of said Harvest storyline with The Trial of Kid Flash. Also, I am really surprised Mephisto's plan to take Peter and Mary Jane's marriage didn't make the list. Because I cannot fathom how that one in any way gets him closer to his goal of evil domination.
To be fair it was to keep their daughter from being born. So if the version were May "May Day" Parker, I could see it being a good plan. She saves the world alot.

His goals involve universal domination and a war against God. He didn't even want Peter or MJ's soul, which is usually his objective, he wants their marriage.

So if one version can manage that, I'm not sure that you could count out that he might have actually had some sort of plan that her birth could realistically be a hindrance toward.
The funny thing is that that is the most believable part of the story. That a bunch of Evangelical Christians would make a plan like that because they don't understand how Catholicism works, or even comprehend the idea that Catholics don't believe in stupid things like the Rapture.

Minor correction on the antagonists of the Speed Steer comic. Watching your review, I only saw panels where the burger joint that didn't know how monopolies worked CLAIMED they were offering free burgers. I don't remember any panels proving that they followed through.
I like to think, when it cuts back to Linkara hugging the cat, its because he's so scared by the idiocy that he requires kitty hugs to make it better. "Pokemon is a tool of Evil Industrialists trying to keep you from having an education!" ...with the plot of the new Sword & Shield games.... that strikes me with a bit of a sinister insinuation...

It was retconned near the end of the Ultimate line, somwhere in or around Cataclysm if I'm remembering right, that the Doom who planned Ultimatum was actually Sue Storm's mom who was is second in command. The real Doom was presumably still in the Zombie Dimension and he had nothing to do with it. So the whole thing is even stupider than we thought.
I don't know why I was surprised that this was two parts. Really stupid plans usually take a while to explain. Edit: Also wait... Nightmare Arsenal sells weapons for use in one's own mind? I have questions but Linkara should definitely grab some of those while he has the chance. It is an oddly specific niche that has popped up on more than one occasion.
16:14 There is no central place where the communion wafers come from. They are created locally by nuns or even in the in the church's kitchen depending on the size of the church. Seriously, making communion wafers isn't that hard. You just mix wheat and water, use an oven press to bake it into sheets, and then cut out the wafers. You make it fresh or as fresh as possible.
Hey, it was the Ultimates NOT the Avengers! Yeah, I know, easy mistake, so I'm just messing. Though just to make it MORE confusing, in the Ultimate Universe there WAS a team of Avengers. I've never read their stories, but I just love how the Ultimate Universe was supposed to make things easier to understand and ended up just making everything more confusing.
The Future 5 comic can easily be labeled as propaganda because it intentionally leaves out the fact that some of the worlds most successful men and women never went to college. Hell if I was to use an example from my family, my dad never even finished high school and he managed to start a successful tile business that was raking in over a million dollars a year. I know that doesn’t sound impressive, but that was back in the 80s, so adjusted for inflation he was raking in about 3.3 million dollars a year! So yeah, you don’t need a collage education to be successful. You just need to have the tenacity and proper work ethic to make your own success, like you Linkara
I'm glad your dad found success. More proof that Future 5 is a piece of total garbage. I honestly consider it one of the worst books he's ever reviewed not only because it's such a condescending and self-important book, but because it gives out false, probably outdated information and tries to shame people out of trying to work certain jobs despite, y'know, people needing money to survive. That's a very harmful mindset to instill. Not to mention the book has ridiculous expectations for people, like how it says you have to have your future goals and your plans on how you'll get there set in stone by age 25. Kinda hard to do that when you have to spend all that money that it shames you out of trying to earn, don't you think?
Let me see if I can find a way to make these plans less stupid: 1.. Harvest: The Tron Hunger Games were actually him running interference for a different plan, and the idea was to make the heroes confused enough trying to figure the nonsensical twists of the stupid plan that they don't notice the real plan, with a side order of making them underestimate him afterwards. He didn't actually expect any survivors to join the Ravagers; the idea was that at least some would escape and warn superheroes about the battle royale and they'd leave their normal stomping grounds to investigate, but he had to resort to more direct measures when the survivors actually kept taking him up on the offer. The plan worked perfectly until Booster Gold kicked his ass and dragged him back to the Teen Titans. 2. Ultimate Dr. Doom: He/she was originally trying the plan mostly because he/she was bored and wanted to mess with people (and thought it might get rid of Magneto and some superheroes if he was lucky), but didn't expect it to actually work like it did. The rest was damage control, sleep deprivation while trying to enact said damage control, and lying a whole lot. 3. The Jackal is a sociopathic control freak with megalomaniacal tendencies, and his idea of "better" is "more under my control". He can manipulate the cloning process in various ways to ensure he can control what comes out, and so because of this any given human (aside from him) would be better (i.e. would work better for Jackal) if they were a clone. He doesn't care that the clones will melt, because he can just clone them again (with the resources to do this being plotted out in the long-term plan) and his definition of 'better' does not include 'more capable of long-term survival'. 4. Asthma Monster: He's just a spiteful, hypocritical bastard who milks his asthma for sympathy and feels like he hasn't garnered enough pity points recently, so he's going to make everyone feel how horribly tortured he is by giving them all asthma too. No good reason, no redemption moment, some people are just jerks. 5. Dr Doom (Main Universe): There are two options for the 'doesn't drain Reed' thing- either his machine doesn't work on fully mature brains, or Reed's stretchiness just makes his brain too weird for the machine to work with. The rest of the plan is not to gather the knowledge for himself, but to take it from the kids, hoping that by doing so he would cause chaos in the American economy as they come of age while having to re-learn basic knowledge and potentially kneecap any new-generation superheroes. That or he lost a bet. 6. Church of Humanity: Nightwing doesn't even need to be brainwashed into priesthood; simply being a Catholic male is technically enough (although you'll need to be ordained and then made a bishop before you take office, and realistically the cardinals aren't going to choose someone who isn't also a cardinal). So why not have the Vatican make Nightwing pope legitimately? He's a great guy, and people have been elected to far worse positions in comics for dumber reasons. So say the previous pope and the cardinals want the Church to publicly support mutants for whatever reason. Maybe Nightwing saved little children in Rome from some super-threat on Easter and they decided they liked him. Now Nightwing's pope and there's huge uproar, which the Church of Humanity decides to take advantage of by using their disintegration-Communion plot- not to imitate the Rappture, but just to make the Catholic Church look bad (God is angry, couldn't stop a supervillain, Nightwing developed smokeless teleporting and kidnapped them all- it doesn't really matter as long as the theories are out there) so they can take advantage of the chaos to tempt more vulnerable people into their church, though the plan's a bit sketchy because they came up with it on the fly.
May I suggest a topic for a future new year clip-show video? You once made a video about your favourite jokes that weren't running gags. Maybe you could select 15 running gags and explain their backstory (and meaning for newcomers), context and appearances. As a long-time viewer (2011) I believe it would be a nice trip down memory lane. Some people might not even get who One-Face is. And BTW, you were right about even-number years sucking as much as odd-number Star Trek movies. Keep up the good job.

The Final Fantasy comparison does not work at all because I can follow the logic of every plan, whether by actual pragmatism or personal vendetta/motivation, and understand what was going down. And no villain I recall straight up abandons or works against the evil plan. And the villains have reasonable control over the events of the plan, as opposed to Doom letting loose robots and hoping humans and mutants kill each other.
You know...I once made a idea for a fan made supervillain team for the DC Universe known as "The Unknown" which would consist of one lesser known rogue from each member of the main Justice League's members like with Superman Villain All American Boy (who I can only describe as a man who was experimented on by the government to become a doomsday like monster with kryptonite spikes), Green Lantern Villain Doctor Polaris, Flash Villain Overload, Batman Villain The Corrosive Man, Charybidis (a aqua man villain that was actually the man that caused Aquaman to lose his hand in the 90s), Wonder woman villain The Blue Snowman, and Martain Manhunter villain The Headmaster (who was a super genius who saw the death of the world inevitable so he built a massive Arc to travel into space and save humanity by finding a new planet to live on but since Headmaster saw the bodies of humanity as unfit he took the brains out of people's bodies and putting them in robots so they could be seen fit with them also working as the workforce of building the Arc with him doing the same thing to himself and transferring his brain to a robotic body with his plan being eventually stopped by Martain Manhunter with him being presumed dead.) You see in my story Headmaster survived his defeat and traveled across the Earth for many years to try and rebuild his plan with him eventually coming across a crashed Braniac Ship which he used the parts of to rebuild the body with him also using the remaining parts and new robots he built to create the ark with him becoming more of a genius now due to the new knowledge he got from the ship's database. So then he tries to enact his plan but with the Justice League he can't really do so. So then he kidnaps and assembles his new team and promising each of them something they all want in return that he can provide (like finding a way for Corrosive man to exact his revenge on Abra Kadaver as well as a spot on the arc, Blue Snowman finally defeating Wonder Woman as well as a spot on the arc, Charybidis finally being able to destroy Aquaman as well a spot on the arc, Overload being provided a spot on the Arc with him not having to deal with his technophobia (yeah he has electricity based powers that gave him chronic pain due to electric buzzing in his body, causing him to stay away from all electricity) since the ship doesn't run on electricity, All American Boy would be given a device that would allow Joshua Walker to switch between himself and All American Boy at any time with him no longer having to hurt anyone and be free from the monster with him also getting a spot on the Arc with his parents, and finally Doctor Polaris being provided surgery that would forever rid Polaris of his multiple personality disorder with the Polaris persona surviving while the good doctor part of him was destroyed as well as a place on the arc). Why did he need lesser known villains? Well it's because it would be less expected meaning they would have the element of surprise. Headmaster's plan was to get some of the team to distract the JLA and cause trouble while he, Doctor Polaris (who will take care of the other members of the league with his magnetic powers), and Overload (who will shut down the power to the tower, allowing it's defenses and firewalls made to keep people like Headmaster from taking control, to be disabled) broke into the watch tower and dispatched of the other members on it and took control with Headmaster then planning on using the tower to broadcast a sort of sound signal around the world through the internet and almost all forms of technology that would trick the human body into shutting down for the most part (except for the organs needed to keep the brain alive) with then Headmaster then using a list he made for the specific people he sees fit for the arc and a army of his new upgrades brain stealing drones to steal the minds of the greatest people in humanity that Headmaster sees fit the arc and then go ahead on with his original plan. Now of course it's foiled when Superman manages to talk through to the human side of All American Boy and convince him to help them stop the other members of the Unknown and put an end to Headmaster's plan before he could send the signal. Now after writing this I didn't think this plan was good but GEEZ AFTER THE CRAPPY PLANS I WATCHED IN YOUR VIDEO I CAN HAPPILY SAY THAT HEADMASTER'S PLAN IS BETTER
While Doctor Doom is one of my favourite villains from Marvel, dear lord were his plans stupid in these comics. I never forgot about Ultimatum and I hated Ultimatum.
No joke, while I was watching Heavy Rex's taunting the "move your cars for snow pickup" alarm car was rolling on my street and I thought for a moment it was an actual part of the skit. It added SO MUCH to the dramatic buildup!!! I'm now saddened to think I'm the only one who got this cool extra.
The weird thing about the Jackal’s plan is that in the JRPG Tales of the Abyss, there’s a similar plan enacted by the game’s villain who wants to not just clone all of humanity but clone the entire planet they inhabit too which would result in the original planet being destroyed in the cloning process. The reason he did this is because humanity follows a 2000-year spanning prophecy called the Score that dictates everyone’s entire lives, created a religion centred around it and has the ending be that all of humanity will achieve prosperity; the problem with it is that the Score dictated horrific catastrophes and wars that kill millions of people, which the religion’s heads and the country’s monarchs comply with and even engineer rather than defy the Score and lose the promised prosperity. The villain was actually used to cause a catastrophe that destroyed his entire island with his special powers, subsequently joins the religious order after losing said home, learns the truth that he must enforce the Score and is horrified, deciding to create a world without the Score by using the clones to deviate away from it (because the Score actually never predicted the existence of clones) out of revenge towards the world for enacting so much cruelty and death and the Score for being the catalyst to do so, as well as to save the world from the more deaths caused by the Score.
That Nightcrawler=Pope plan made me pause the video and roll around on the floor with laughter. I can't believe someone thought that was a legitimately good idea worth wasting resources over.
You know, I have seen a similar plan to the Burger Tyrant done well. In the Doctor Who episode, Revelation of the Daleks, Davros sets himself up as the sole supplier of food to an entire galaxy that is suffering a famine. However, it goes beyond control, he uses the money to finance building a new army of Daleks that are loyal to him. Plus there's the morbid element of both the food and Davros's Daleks being made out of the stasis-frozen not-quite corpses of people sent to a space funeral home.
Please keep these lists/retrospectives going. I love how it is to look back on the year in review. It makes these year end episodes a special celebration, and that is always great.

I was watching another Linkara video today and some more things occurred to me about that issue. This is a long one.
1- The villain says he wants teenagers to avoid going to college so he can become the smartest man in the world. What about all the people who had previously graduated? Was he going to kill them?
2- What about all the smart people who hadn't graduated college? There are very smart people that never went to college for one reason or another (They couldn't afford it and never applied for a scholarship, they had to enter the workforce right out of high school to support their families, they decided to enlist in the armed forces out of high school and decided not to further their education after their enlistment had ended, they were an athlete so skilled they were able to join a professional team right after high school graduation, etc.), so what about them?
3- What about the people who went to vocational school, or got an apprenticeship, and learned a trade? Does this book treat them as somehow inferior for doing hands-on work, or does it ignore them entirely?
4- What about the people who pursue a college education later in life? Just because someone decides not to enter college as a teen doesn't mean they'll never enter college.
5- Speaking of age, there are some prodigies who graduate college in their early teens or even earlier. Imagine if you will Young Sheldon becoming 18 years old, being approached by one of the villain's agents who tries to dissuade him from going to college, and telling the agent, "Oh, I already graduated from college years ago!" before subjecting him to a dry lecture about the term paper he wrote on why he prefers Star Trek to football.
This issue even fails by its own logic.

Doctor Doom: Literally creates a Dr. Doofensmirtz plan. And fails just as spectacularly at dominating the tri-state area.
Even Doof can occasionally tell when a plan wouldn't work for obvious reasons. Hopefully we won't see Doom trying to set fire to the sun anytime soon.

I have to vote for Reverse-Flash's "plot" in Flashpoint. He gets the Flash to go back in time to stop him from killing Flash's parents, so history is changed and the world is destroyed. Yes, this allows him to kill Flash, since he is now a paradox and can exist without the Flash, but since it also brings about the end of the world, not sure how long he will be able to enjoy his victory.

Minor correction on the antagonists of the Speed Steer comic. Watching your review, I only saw panels where the burger joint that didn't know how monopolies worked CLAIMED they were offering free burgers. I don't remember any panels proving that they followed through.

Nor only was his plan complicated, but I'm still not sure what he even wants. All I know is that he keeps saying the word Darkness, Mwa-Ha-Has frequently, and keeps trying to beat me up, so it clearly must be evil.
At this point the sketches is 70% of why I watch this channel. They are surprisingly good and make me appreciate eldritch horror on another level.

It was retconned near the end of the Ultimate line, somwhere in or around Cataclysm if I'm remembering right, that the Doom who planned Ultimatum was actually Sue Storm's mom who was is second in command. The real Doom was presumably still in the Zombie Dimension and he had nothing to do with it. So the whole thing is even stupider than we thought.
I don't know why I was surprised that this was two parts. Really stupid plans usually take a while to explain.
Edit: Also wait... Nightmare Arsenal sells weapons for use in one's own mind? I have questions but Linkara should definitely grab some of those while he has the chance. It is an oddly specific niche that has popped up on more than one occasion.
16:14 There is no central place where the communion wafers come from. They are created locally by nuns or even in the in the church's kitchen depending on the size of the church. Seriously, making communion wafers isn't that hard. You just mix wheat and water, use an oven press to bake it into sheets, and then cut out the wafers. You make it fresh or as fresh as possible.

The Future 5 comic can easily be labeled as propaganda because it intentionally leaves out the fact that some of the worlds most successful men and women never went to college.
Hell if I was to use an example from my family, my dad never even finished high school and he managed to start a successful tile business that was raking in over a million dollars a year. I know that doesn’t sound impressive, but that was back in the 80s, so adjusted for inflation he was raking in about 3.3 million dollars a year!
So yeah, you don’t need a collage education to be successful. You just need to have the tenacity and proper work ethic to make your own success, like you Linkara

I honestly consider it one of the worst books he's ever reviewed not only because it's such a condescending and self-important book, but because it gives out false, probably outdated information and tries to shame people out of trying to work certain jobs despite, y'know, people needing money to survive. That's a very harmful mindset to instill. Not to mention the book has ridiculous expectations for people, like how it says you have to have your future goals and your plans on how you'll get there set in stone by age 25.
Kinda hard to do that when you have to spend all that money that it shames you out of trying to earn, don't you think?

Let me see if I can find a way to make these plans less stupid:
1.. Harvest: The Tron Hunger Games were actually him running interference for a different plan, and the idea was to make the heroes confused enough trying to figure the nonsensical twists of the stupid plan that they don't notice the real plan, with a side order of making them underestimate him afterwards. He didn't actually expect any survivors to join the Ravagers; the idea was that at least some would escape and warn superheroes about the battle royale and they'd leave their normal stomping grounds to investigate, but he had to resort to more direct measures when the survivors actually kept taking him up on the offer. The plan worked perfectly until Booster Gold kicked his ass and dragged him back to the Teen Titans.
2. Ultimate Dr. Doom: He/she was originally trying the plan mostly because he/she was bored and wanted to mess with people (and thought it might get rid of Magneto and some superheroes if he was lucky), but didn't expect it to actually work like it did. The rest was damage control, sleep deprivation while trying to enact said damage control, and lying a whole lot.
3. The Jackal is a sociopathic control freak with megalomaniacal tendencies, and his idea of "better" is "more under my control". He can manipulate the cloning process in various ways to ensure he can control what comes out, and so because of this any given human (aside from him) would be better (i.e. would work better for Jackal) if they were a clone. He doesn't care that the clones will melt, because he can just clone them again (with the resources to do this being plotted out in the long-term plan) and his definition of 'better' does not include 'more capable of long-term survival'.
4. Asthma Monster: He's just a spiteful, hypocritical bastard who milks his asthma for sympathy and feels like he hasn't garnered enough pity points recently, so he's going to make everyone feel how horribly tortured he is by giving them all asthma too. No good reason, no redemption moment, some people are just jerks.
5. Dr Doom (Main Universe): There are two options for the 'doesn't drain Reed' thing- either his machine doesn't work on fully mature brains, or Reed's stretchiness just makes his brain too weird for the machine to work with. The rest of the plan is not to gather the knowledge for himself, but to take it from the kids, hoping that by doing so he would cause chaos in the American economy as they come of age while having to re-learn basic knowledge and potentially kneecap any new-generation superheroes. That or he lost a bet.
6. Church of Humanity: Nightwing doesn't even need to be brainwashed into priesthood; simply being a Catholic male is technically enough (although you'll need to be ordained and then made a bishop before you take office, and realistically the cardinals aren't going to choose someone who isn't also a cardinal). So why not have the Vatican make Nightwing pope legitimately? He's a great guy, and people have been elected to far worse positions in comics for dumber reasons. So say the previous pope and the cardinals want the Church to publicly support mutants for whatever reason. Maybe Nightwing saved little children in Rome from some super-threat on Easter and they decided they liked him. Now Nightwing's pope and there's huge uproar, which the Church of Humanity decides to take advantage of by using their disintegration-Communion plot- not to imitate the Rappture, but just to make the Catholic Church look bad (God is angry, couldn't stop a supervillain, Nightwing developed smokeless teleporting and kidnapped them all- it doesn't really matter as long as the theories are out there) so they can take advantage of the chaos to tempt more vulnerable people into their church, though the plan's a bit sketchy because they came up with it on the fly.

The Final Fantasy comparison does not work at all because I can follow the logic of every plan, whether by actual pragmatism or personal vendetta/motivation, and understand what was going down. And no villain I recall straight up abandons or works against the evil plan. And the villains have reasonable control over the events of the plan, as opposed to Doom letting loose robots and hoping humans and mutants kill each other.
You know...I once made a idea for a fan made supervillain team for the DC Universe known as "The Unknown" which would consist of one lesser known rogue from each member of the main Justice League's members like with Superman Villain All American Boy (who I can only describe as a man who was experimented on by the government to become a doomsday like monster with kryptonite spikes), Green Lantern Villain Doctor Polaris, Flash Villain Overload, Batman Villain The Corrosive Man, Charybidis (a aqua man villain that was actually the man that caused Aquaman to lose his hand in the 90s), Wonder woman villain The Blue Snowman, and Martain Manhunter villain The Headmaster (who was a super genius who saw the death of the world inevitable so he built a massive Arc to travel into space and save humanity by finding a new planet to live on but since Headmaster saw the bodies of humanity as unfit he took the brains out of people's bodies and putting them in robots so they could be seen fit with them also working as the workforce of building the Arc with him doing the same thing to himself and transferring his brain to a robotic body with his plan being eventually stopped by Martain Manhunter with him being presumed dead.)
You see in my story Headmaster survived his defeat and traveled across the Earth for many years to try and rebuild his plan with him eventually coming across a crashed Braniac Ship which he used the parts of to rebuild the body with him also using the remaining parts and new robots he built to create the ark with him becoming more of a genius now due to the new knowledge he got from the ship's database. So then he tries to enact his plan but with the Justice League he can't really do so. So then he kidnaps and assembles his new team and promising each of them something they all want in return that he can provide (like finding a way for Corrosive man to exact his revenge on Abra Kadaver as well as a spot on the arc, Blue Snowman finally defeating Wonder Woman as well as a spot on the arc, Charybidis finally being able to destroy Aquaman as well a spot on the arc, Overload being provided a spot on the Arc with him not having to deal with his technophobia (yeah he has electricity based powers that gave him chronic pain due to electric buzzing in his body, causing him to stay away from all electricity) since the ship doesn't run on electricity, All American Boy would be given a device that would allow Joshua Walker to switch between himself and All American Boy at any time with him no longer having to hurt anyone and be free from the monster with him also getting a spot on the Arc with his parents, and finally Doctor Polaris being provided surgery that would forever rid Polaris of his multiple personality disorder with the Polaris persona surviving while the good doctor part of him was destroyed as well as a place on the arc). Why did he need lesser known villains? Well it's because it would be less expected meaning they would have the element of surprise.
Headmaster's plan was to get some of the team to distract the JLA and cause trouble while he, Doctor Polaris (who will take care of the other members of the league with his magnetic powers), and Overload (who will shut down the power to the tower, allowing it's defenses and firewalls made to keep people like Headmaster from taking control, to be disabled) broke into the watch tower and dispatched of the other members on it and took control with Headmaster then planning on using the tower to broadcast a sort of sound signal around the world through the internet and almost all forms of technology that would trick the human body into shutting down for the most part (except for the organs needed to keep the brain alive) with then Headmaster then using a list he made for the specific people he sees fit for the arc and a army of his new upgrades brain stealing drones to steal the minds of the greatest people in humanity that Headmaster sees fit the arc and then go ahead on with his original plan. Now of course it's foiled when Superman manages to talk through to the human side of All American Boy and convince him to help them stop the other members of the Unknown and put an end to Headmaster's plan before he could send the signal.
Now after writing this I didn't think this plan was good but GEEZ AFTER THE CRAPPY PLANS I WATCHED IN YOUR VIDEO I CAN HAPPILY SAY THAT HEADMASTER'S PLAN IS BETTER

While Doctor Doom is one of my favourite villains from Marvel, dear lord were his plans stupid in these comics. I never forgot about Ultimatum and I hated Ultimatum.

No joke, while I was watching Heavy Rex's taunting the "move your cars for snow pickup" alarm car was rolling on my street and I thought for a moment it was an actual part of the skit. It added SO MUCH to the dramatic buildup!!! I'm now saddened to think I'm the only one who got this cool extra.

The weird thing about the Jackal’s plan is that in the JRPG Tales of the Abyss, there’s a similar plan enacted by the game’s villain who wants to not just clone all of humanity but clone the entire planet they inhabit too which would result in the original planet being destroyed in the cloning process.
The reason he did this is because humanity follows a 2000-year spanning prophecy called the Score that dictates everyone’s entire lives, created a religion centred around it and has the ending be that all of humanity will achieve prosperity; the problem with it is that the Score dictated horrific catastrophes and wars that kill millions of people, which the religion’s heads and the country’s monarchs comply with and even engineer rather than defy the Score and lose the promised prosperity. The villain was actually used to cause a catastrophe that destroyed his entire island with his special powers, subsequently joins the religious order after losing said home, learns the truth that he must enforce the Score and is horrified, deciding to create a world without the Score by using the clones to deviate away from it (because the Score actually never predicted the existence of clones) out of revenge towards the world for enacting so much cruelty and death and the Score for being the catalyst to do so, as well as to save the world from the more deaths caused by the Score.
I got lost in there, but I think that speaks to the inanity.

You know, I have seen a similar plan to the Burger Tyrant done well. In the Doctor Who episode, Revelation of the Daleks, Davros sets himself up as the sole supplier of food to an entire galaxy that is suffering a famine. However, it goes beyond control, he uses the money to finance building a new army of Daleks that are loyal to him. Plus there's the morbid element of both the food and Davros's Daleks being made out of the stasis-frozen not-quite corpses of people sent to a space funeral home.
