60007 Sir Nigel Gresley on The Golden Hind - 11th July 2024

This train started at Milton Keynes, diesel hauled to Taunton. 60007 hauled the train from Taunton to Plymouth with Class 47 D1924 (47810) on the rear.
Just the one clip, taken at Beambridge, on the climb to Whiteball.
Due to a points/signalling problem at Plymouth, the train couldn’t be turned. So the return from Plymouth was diesel hauled with 60007 on the rear.

Heaven on earth brought tears to my eyes, last time i saw her was in the shed at Carnforth in 1987 undergoing renovation.
