One particular problem that persisted LH is the 787 promised by Boeing isn't delivered on time. Boeing promised sales with remarkingly low price but eventually cost more to LH when it was not delivered on time. While in contrast, MH aims for A330neo around the same time but which deliver much sooner.
Don't blame Boeing; Blame the FAA for dragging their a.. certifying the allegris seats ordered by the carrier !!! 13 ordered 787's are ready for delivery, even though they certified the exact same seats for the A350 with no delays whatsoever!!
nah, most military equipment is quite heavy. The Beluga is designed for things that are large but light. So you could deliver helicopters for example, but that's not too relevant for Ukraine atm. ALso you would need the necessary equipment to unload the Beluga over there
@ depends on what they’re using as the retardant. With further advances with liquid nitrogen, the gas alone when it comes in contact with the fire largely extinguishes it. Trying to think creatively and not too far into the future.
You know what else is massive
And you know what else is massive

I wonder if the Belugas can be used in Ukraine for military deliveries

How is Airbus Shutting down its Beluga Transport considered “massive news”?
Do you know what else is massive?
They could keep the old belugas alive by adapting them to deploy fire retardant to combat wildfires around the world.
The problem is the one of weight rather than volume
