Worked all night working on the van, and after a quick 30 minute nap, I woke up to this. Between the rain and my client being on vacation... Jolene is still broken and I am on the other side of town from the lovely library and Dunkin Donuts gals. I'll be okay but this is an important reminder about the need for control causing suffering. Everything happens for a reason but some lessons are hard to swallow.

I am a mechanic and you have to lay on your back and reach up in there to do this job. a big piece of cardboard works great or a rug or something. some parts are accessible from the top. you can take the pos wire off the alternator and wrap black tape around the terminal or just disconnect the battery both wires negative first always. hope it quits raining so you can do this.
usually that is the blower resistor or fan speed resistor and mostly only running on high will indicate its bad. someone unplugged im guessing cause it wont go off. Chevrolet? resistor usually mounts in the same are as fan. hope that helps.

Oh my goodness, I feel your pain. I have been homeless lots of times (even though I know you are not, it feels the same) when you think things cant get any worse, they do. I wish I was as smart as you to take a mental break, to clarify my brain but I did not have any privacy to do that. It was horrible.
