Your Firebird model reminds me of when I was a senior in college and was financially squeaking by on my own because my Mom was as poor as Job's turkey. I told her I wanted a baby blue Mustang, knowing full well she wasn't able to buy one. I was many miles from home however she sent be a box and when I opened it it was a 1965 baby blue Mustany model.
Marycarl will be happy her daddy has caught the birding bug as well ... I can see lots of trips ahead for you both - she is so knowledgeable with her birds
I love that you are from Alabama and you give this Virginian an opportunity to meet your very lovely, hard-working and inspiring family. Mary Carl is one awesome young woman with impressive study skills, and her Mom and Dad are just as awesome. I wish i lived on a farm. All i can grow on my half-acre rural suburban plot crop-wise is a few blueberries, raspberries and veggies/herbs in pots. The only animal here is my dog. She's a whippet and keeps the rabbits away. Thank you for sharing your wonderful family with us. Love this channel.
We have an Egret who comes to our pond almost everyday. Last fall we had 2 adult Egrets and a juvenile one that could fly. They all stayed together so I think it was a family. They are so beautiful. Their wings look like lace when they spread them out and shake them. ❤
Its so nice to hear MC is so into bird watching. She will have that passion for life. I hope she ends up going to vet school. Love the car Jason. 😅 My mom grew up drinking goats milk and I love goat cheese with a drizzle blackberry vinager on crackers. The goat milk ice cream would be fantastuc. Some health food grocery stores sell goat milk. 😊
Jason, you and Mary Karl should come to the Pinellas county beach area if you’re looking for spoonbills. They are very common around here end some of our county parks. You can also find the colored bunting bird in in central Florida, which is around Winterhaven and Lake wales.
I took my 14 year old and a 15 year old relative camping and we had a blast. My son asked me if i could take him and his friends camping before summer ends! I have booked the camp site and booked the days off already. It isnt often you get that invitation from a 14 year old hockey player!!
I’ve been a birder since my early 20s,had some great adventures, but more important I’ve met the nicest people…joining a good birder group is a lot of fun sharing information.Something she can do her whole life. Having a list of birds one wants to see and finally seeing them is so awesome..birders are the best people who want to see every one succeed.
I could have written that!! Especially about the nice people. On every single trip, I learned something important from the longtime members. Y’all need to come to Louisiana in the early spring!! (Probably not a great idea during football season…🤭)
Some of the best cheese I have ever had is goat cheese! My husband goes to Spain frequently to see his family and always brings back the best goat cheese ever!
She has always been knowledgeable about birds,I remember when she was like 4 years old correcting Jason about a chicken that he said wasn’t a rooster…she was right it was. Cutest video ever.😂
I just love y'all as parents. In a lot of ways I am like your daughter except our family wasn't a good family. The way you love her and encourage her and support her and the things you've done to keep her safe must make a lot of other people than just me emotional. I didn't know families like y'all's existed before the internet brought more people to our vision. We sadly believed other families were like ours. It's healing to me to see the love y'all have. Thanks y'all, and be good. (I know your are. You're just good people.)
I know exactly what you mean. I hope you have been able to heal some, it's a difficult thing to go through and it's doubly hard to heal and not use our past to take our pain out on others.
It's wonderful MaryCarl and Jason go Birding together. Hearing stories about their adventures will be lifetime memories for MaryCarl. Being a spotter is a serious job, at least for now Brooke has a bit of a break. Such a terrific family - on every level! Brooke's Mom was adorable and serious about wanting "2" of the newest potential Tshirt colors.
Birding is great! All birders help one another and the full-on-goal is to save birds, to prevent extinctions, and protect birding resources and safety. Rock on Birders!
Fun birding trip! 😂peewee pie. I’ve tagged along with my son in Charleston, SC. I wanting to see the painted buntings down there. Funny how kids get passionate about things. My oldest son told me when he was in elementary school that he was going to be a physicist. He graduated college with a degree in physics. I constantly found rocks in the pockets of my youngest son when I did his laundry. His primary degree is in chemistry, but geology is his secondary degree.
I love watching hummingbirds I have 4 feeders they just to funny!!!!! Them I’ve got 5 other feeders for the pass a buyers ….birds lots of Doves Cardinals Carolina Wrens , finches etc… and owl 🦉 at night
Brooke my Mom had goats and 1 cow. So speaking of seperating the cream from the milk, she had a system. After she strained the milk Twice through cheese cloth, she would let the milk set. She always had glass gallon jugs. Once it settled there was so much cream on top. I had just learned howto make butter. So i taught her how. She of course was amazed. After trial and error, with my Father being the error 😂😂 he wouldn't eatit because it wasn't yellow. So we started putting yellow food coloring in it till we got the right color. Long and short he loved it 😂😂. But my Mom used a turkey baster to syphon the cream off the milk. Which of course you couldn't get 100% off so there was always some cream in the milk. When they drank it they would just shake up the milk snd pour their glass. My little 2 brothers and 1 sister grew up drinking fresh cows milk. And Mom used to sell it to the kady diwn the street who had like 9 kids. She told Mom they drank a gallon if milk at each meal, 3 gallons aday. So was so excited when Mom was able to sell Brownie's milk. If course my Mom had to have both the cow milkvand goat milk test before she could sell it. I can't remember the woman's name hut she bought 3 gallons a day from Mom. And she was able to make at least 3 to 4, maybe more, pounds of butter. It think she was a little upset when Mom started making their own butter 😂😂😂. I was a married woman at this time and to tell you the truth i don't remember the taste of the cows milk. I just remember i didn't care for it. As you mentioned its the physics that took over. But my newborn daugter just loved the goats milk. We eventually found out why she wouldn't drink the formula, as i couldnt nurse, but she became real colicy so bad. But my Mom mentioned sbout the goats milk and what a difference that made for my baby. I'm so happy you were able to help your friend with the freeze drying of the goats milk. But if there is a good amount of cream on top after you strain the milj snd it sets, try using a turkey baster and gently start drawing iff the veryy top and little at a time. You won't be able to 100% of it but i'm sure you could do it. I had that memory as i was watching your live. Keep up the amazing work, y'all are so amazing. Jason so glad to hear you got rid if those crazy bugs. .. have a blessed evening. So happy for Mary Carl, she is such a wonderful young lady , just like her momma and daddy 😅❤. 🧑🦳🌵🏜️🙏🥵 We are dieing out here!!!!🥵🥵🥵
I got tickled when you were telling about your pie made with goats milk. Reminded me of when I made a key lime pie for company. Turned out just like your pie. Looked like slop but tasted great! Fortunately, my guests had a great sense of humor!
Eastern Wood Pewee? Such cute birds! I live about 12 miles from Audobon Pennsylvania! Lots of birds on the property!! And an Audobon museum. Another awesome place to visit!
When I was a child my church went to a members home one Sunday night. They made a few different flavors and it was the best ice cream I ever had. I’m 72 now and I was 6 or 7 at the time. It’s still a wonderful memory. Their daughter Jody was my church friend so I got to visit and loved the babies so much. Bottle feeding was so much fun!
When I was growing up we would order 1/2 a cow. Filled the freezer for the entire winter. Deer season would get us through the rest of the year. I never cared for deer burger but every thing was great
We went to Port Arthur TX to see the whooping cranes. there were lots of other birds too. Just whooping cranes & black footed ferrets were on my bucket list. They have/had a festival late winter. Seemes like there are some that that winter in Florida too.

Disappointing the pigeons chased your moment away Brooke, especially since it was right there at home!! Love hearing Snow White is doing well!! Can you imagine her out in the wild!! Better watch it Brooke, Mary Carl is going to swope her dad away every chance she gets!! You could get them a sign to hang or their own tee shirts that say Gone birding!! It's absolutely wonderful she loves it!! Never thought freeze drying goat milk would work, great that it did!! Wonderful hearing you two, be safe unfortunately in that heat!! Hope the baby chicks are doing well!!!
Love American Avocets!!! They're year round residents at Bombay Hook wildlife refuge in Delaware which is about a 63 mile drive from me in Southeast Pennsylvania. BBH is on the Atlantic fly zone and a major migratory path! I also got to see a few Roseate Spoonbills two years ago. Very rare for that area!!
Got my order of goat milk soaps from Laura at Simply Making It! It was due to your video about giving your goat milk to Laura. They smell sooooo good especially the coffee one. Y’all be good!

If you get the big plastic ice cube trays to freeze the goats milk in, they will actually weigh out to be 1 ounce each cube. Makes is easier to freeze, store in ziplock bags, then if you have a recipe that calls for x amount of ounces goatmilk you just pull out that many cubes, from the freezer, and thaw it, then cook your item.

Glad you got your Banditmobil. ♥️❤️🥰♥️❤️
Watching from WA state!
It is so wonderful that your peacock is laying eggs 🥚🥚. Can they be fertile, since she hasn't been with a male peacock? Will it be the same?❤❤❤❤❤❤
We had ISA Browns for a few years. They are a hardy chicken that does well in our cold winters in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Well you took her first two eggs, so Miss Snow White probably changed her nesting spot for a safer nest.

BROOKE ALL THIS WEEK WE HERE IN MN WE ARE GOING TO BE IN THE 50s AT NIGHT AND 60-70s DAY TIME
Send some of the temperature down to Arkansas would be nice . I’m 35 minutes from Memphis Tennessee
You’re right Book, here in Ohio starting Saturday night it’s supposed to be 57°.
Brooke line your freeze dryer trays with parchment paper so the goat's milk would not stick to the trays.
LOl I have been typing texts to my favorite farms in my region and you're my third along with many others who speak the same language. Ty. ❤🔥❤🔥⚖⚖💕💕
