Thats the sound of my old school alarm i go to a new school because the old one is for 1st and 2nd and kindergarten the new school alarm for (3rd 4th and 5th) its just a loud ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
That is actually a traditional alarm, but the tone will later be changed to a slightly higher tone
The newer versions also are louder, and they are cheaper (IDK)

My high school has Wheelock Ns and ZNS on code 3, and Gentex SHG's(Old Mechanical Horn) set on continous. I think it's a pretty cool system.
Surprised the SHG's aren't doing code-3 since it would all be coded by the panel.
Gary Beltz Yeah, it's a bit weird. I'm not sure how they have the system set up like that.

The alarms at my school sound like truealerts. They are Siemens alarms. There are some Wheelock zns alarms and a few u mcs alarms.

This sounds like my elementary schools fire alarm but higher pitched than mine.
I'm in a new school this year too! The alarms are System Sensor Masses with a couple spectralerts but the masses are mounted on some sort of trim plate and they have these "holes" on the top. One alarm had wires in the holes, and another that had this "brown concrete" in the holes. What does this mean? And no I didn't have a fire drill yet.

This is really late but I finally found out what the trim plate and holes meant. That school used to have simplex 2903s before replacing them with the masses

Idk man. U gotta call (FIRE ALARM COMPANY) to put it in test mode in order to safely pull it. Just make sure to google it just to double check

LOL I can hear the true alerts Smart sync. You can tell because when they sound may sound a little bit longer the first time! If you kind of know what I'm talking about here!
