    Please note, some trucks may have a solid brown wire in pin 10 rather than a brown with white stripe. Always reference off of the pin locations, NOT the wire colors. If you have any questions please contact us.

      Just upgraded my 2018 Tahoe and it was the solid brown but like you said once I went off the location, I was good to go. Apparently the brown with white is the horn and makes the horn honk when you turn the brights on lol , but easy fix after I went off location. Thanks, works great!

    For everyone complaining about this mod not working or the horn going off, etc - you need to pay closer attention to the video. Do not simply go off of the wire colors, you absolutely have to find the correct pin locations. GM uses several different vendors for their electrical plugs. The body control module and associated connectors could have been made by JST, or TE/Tyco. Doesn't matter what year, make, model, etc your truck is, you could have two identical 2018 Silverados sitting next to each other, same trim package, features, everything...and the wiring harnesses could look completely different depending on which manufacturer's parts were used on the assembly line that day.
    You need to go by the PIN LOCATIONS, not the color of the wires.

    • @boostautoparts
      @boostautoparts  3 года назад +2

      Correct, always go off of pin location as primary reference!

    The wire positions were correct but the brown with white stripe was solid brown on my 2015 Silverado (brown w/white stripe was in a different position). Fog light indicator on instrument panel is not lit with high beams but fog lights are on. Nice job on the video!

    • @boostautoparts

      Hey Mitch,
      Thanks for the feedback. We always recommend going off of the pin locations as primary reference as GM does change the wire colors from time to time.
      It is normal that the fog light indicator does not light on the dash.

      If you have a 2014-2018 vehicle and your horn is sounding whenever your high beams are activated you are connected to the wrong pin location for pin 10. Some trucks are known to have a solid brown wire instead of a brown wire with white stripe, so confirm your connection is on pin 10.

      Yes they will all be on at the same time. You can't just use a piece of wire - if you did that anytime your fog lights came on your high beams would come on, which is not what you would want when you're using your fog lights in a foggy situation.
