All the communication in the world wasn’t going to get Elizabeth to pay attention to her job. She still didn’t even get what she did wrong even on these interviews.
Even when Fran asked her if they used the guest cabin- she was going around in circles. She’s not as sweet and innocent as she tries to portray- very manipulative!!
Fran asked if she slept in the cabin.... clearly no sleeping was going on !!! It was very unprofessional of Fran to address it in front of others ... Fran had a beef with Elizabeth from the start ...
It was so noble of him to compare Eddie to his son. Captain Lee loves Eddie a lot, and Eddie loves Lee the same. It was the most natural endearing thing and both guys are just simply GREAT MEN! A beautiful way to end the season. Blessings
Elizabeth is not a bad person, she's just not terribly bright, and, she lacks self-awareness to the nth degree. She does not, for one moment, recognize her part in her own problems onboard.
If Elizabeth can’t own up, she’s no good in any job. The mustard gas was it for me. She was given a direct order to take it outside & she did what the hell she wanted to do. Elizabeth taking it hard leaving bc she was leaving James & as she was leaving he showed he didn’t give a s**t. James did nothing for Eliz b Day. Why was it on everyone to cover his butt? Let her see him for who he is.

Exactly I honestly don’t know how she was that shocked that she was fired. Her work ethic was none existent, she kept saying that if she known what was wrong she would’ve changed it but whenever she was told what was wrong she acted like a spoiled 16 year old.
Elizabeth, meaning well and doing well are two different things. You meant well. You did horribly. When Francessca told you to do something, you should have done it to completion BEFORE going off to talk with James. James didn't get fired for screwing you in guest quarters because he got his job done. Nobody was picking up his slack, because that wasn't needed. But you weren't getting your job done.
Come on, she got fired because her boss wanted her gone from the beginning for personal reasons. They both liked that douchebag guy. It was so obviously personal and when someone wants you gone, they’ll find a reasoned axe you. “Don’t screw in your bunk.” Don’t screw outside your bunk” was the perfect excuse to fire her. Elizabeth wasn’t as bad as they made her seem. The personal animosity from those two girls oozes out of their pores.

Exactly is the perfect example of partisanship trophy should not be given out. If know you have to earn a trophy you work hard because your determined to get it vs if you gonna get one just for being there you can just 🤷♀️ and say I’m gonna get a trophy for just showing up so I don’t need to earn it. Elizabeth knows that regardless of how much work she did or didn’t do she was going to be given the same amount as everyone else so decided I’m not going to work hard.
I agree that she's incompetent, but I didn't see a lot of well meaning. Playing the victim, and bad mouthing your boss to every, single crew member is NOT even venting to a friend. She intentionally tried to pit the entire crew against Franchesca, and it was working! If you are ACTUALLY well meaning, when your boss says you're screwing up, you say, "What do you think the main issues are that I can fix?" Which were not listening, not taking initiative to think like a charter guest, and not caring. Instead, from the VERY FIRST complaint Elizabeth was crying the victim. Well meaning people get better. She won't. She also lied on her CV / resume. "Short stints, on & off, over [a period of] 4½ years," IS NOT 4½ years experience!!! And the way she behaved when she was fired was RIDICULOUS! Thirty??! Are we sure she isn't THIRTEEN?? I was sneakily fired (at the ssme age or younger) because I had gotten sick and I STILL didn't react that way! (They TECHNICALLY eliminated the position.) This is what happens when Mommy & Daddy let you get away with everything. She's clearly used to getting what she wants if she makes a big stink about it.
I think that both Izzy and Rachel witness the way Francesca was abusing Elizabeth. If someone is not doing a good job you have a private conversation and try to correct it, it doesn't work after that, you privately fire her, humanly, privately.

Rachel needs to stop and think had Fran and Ashling not been carrying 3/4 of Elizabeths work they could have done better at service. If you give a kid a trophy for just being there then your teaching the kid you don’t have to work hard to earn it. So many people are saying Fran has had it out for Elizabeth since day one, but really it's been Rachel, Elizabeth and Izzy who have been dragging Fran since the beginning. Elizabeth does seem very nice. But a job is a job, and when your boss gives you instructions, then has to constantly come around to see if you are working, of course your boss will get irritated. Chess was too nice in my opinion, before she just had enough. The main problem here is Elizabeth doesn't think she did anything wrong....that she was doing the job. Hopefully she learns from this experience, but I suspect she may be fired again in the future from another job.

I am still shocked Elizabeth did not think she was going to be fired! She didnt do her job, broke one of the highest rules and kept putting her own life ahead of charters... how did she NOT get it??? Naive is understatement!
Perhaps, because it was not on the spot of when it happened. They waited a whole charter later to fire her. So it would be normal to think that it had to do with her performance on that last charter. That being said both Elizabeth and James should have been fired on the spot for sleeping in the cabin.

For real she acts like her making mustard gas was a stupid mistake and Fran was making a big deal over nothing she put people health and safety at risk but yet she acting like she the victim.
I watched the birthday cake part again and it didn't seem to me that anyone was being mean-spirited about Elizabeth being gone. I think Rachel just couldn't handle the fact that not everyone (or anyone) was as upset as she was about Elizabeth being let go.
I found it distasteful. Ironic that the woman who was acting as if she was classier than the young stew ended up acting so horribly. The attitude and aggression out of that chief stew, I wouldn’t have been able to deal with it as good as Elizabeth did. No wonder she kept screwing up. Who can work in that toxic environment. And Elizabeth was too dumb to realize it was because the chief stew was jealous about James.
I always thought of this captain as a hard nose, I understand him more and more when I watch the episodes and he is my favourite now. I am so so a sad about his son. Crew members have been bangin on literally EVERY season of Below Deck! We've watched Department heads have sleepovers in the Guest Room on Mediterranean, Sailing Yacht, and Below Deck by Kate and one of the Chefs. "I'm disappointed in you Francesca!"
Yes, but the crew always let Kate or who ever was the chief stew know about it. Just can't go off an do whatever they liked. AND when there was the problem when the toilet was broken and the side panel in the bathroom...Kate had to say something and then the crew went after her.
Me too, or get a show of their own together, maybe a road trip visiting places on each of their bucket lists or checking out different sea vessels/yachts.
Why do chefs get a pass to be abusive all the time? It’s not just on this show either, it’s in real life. They throw things, yell, name call, put down people and more. I get that it’s a high pressure job, but is that really an excuse to be a jerk and a bully?
Yes. I dated a chef for a while and he was a grouch! I couldn’t even be with him when he got home from work because he was miserable when he walked in the door.

When Elizabeth said in a previous episode, I hope to not fall in love on one charter at least. Makes you think, maybe that’s how she lasted so long on other charters . Possibly screwing around with the right person, so her job didn’t matter as much because whomever was getting some nookie on the side. Because the way she acted and obviously didn’t learn her job very well, how did she last through supposedly 4 yrs of charters ? Makes you wonder, because she was definitely not good at her job. Really curious her job performance from all her other charters turned out, she just didn’t have enough training ? How did she slide by so long, and said she’d fallen in love every charter she was on before this one. She was given a lot of chances to do better, but it was in one ear out the other. She needs to teach yoga or something? Seems it was something she was really into, so maybe she’d take more pride in her job ? But cleaning and dealing with clients , just not her cup of tea. Rachel really didn’t have any friends because of her behavior. Leaving the boat like she did, most lost respect for her. She maybe a great chef, but her people skills not so much. Not saying Francesca was very great at her job at times, there was a lack of communication between them. Elizabeth, omg. Thank you, well said. The girl left the vacuum cleaner outside, she left her uniform on deck along with her radio. She didn’t even pick up behind herself. The entire job is catering & cleaning . . . For someone with “4 years experience”( which I think was a lie) why did she continually screw up the most basic tasks? And still doesn’t feel she deserved to be fired. I hope she gets one day, the kind of service she gives (besides from men). Maybe then she’ll appreciate her BOSS’S THOUGHTS & ACTIONS.
I wonder if Francesca might consider that if you're "wanting it the whole season" that perhaps it may have been a personal thing? Yes, she wasn't perfect, but Franchesca just iced her out early on. That's not good management.
Elizabeth is way smarter then people give her credit for. She did the least amount of work had the least amount of stress on her shoulders then others yet shes a victim? Blown away that people that think if your boss tells you to do something or to not do something they are being a bully. She had the time and energy to bang all the time because she never put in a full days work.

Elizabeth had to be told to do the dishes by captain. Even the captain had to tell her to do her job, she did not have her priorities set. At least James got the job done

This was not professional.
I can not believe Elizabeth has had the experience she says she has. If she had she would have known and straightened up before she was fired. It is not like a regular job. No one has time to coddle you. She always played the victim. She never improved when she was told what she was doing wrong. She kept doing the same thing.

James did his work. Elizabeth didn't. All she wanted was to work as little as possible for big tips, cry victim when her work wasn't up to par and she got hooked on that 🍆 from James. She was given multiple opportunities to step it up but she didn't.
I can’t believe that she still doesn’t understand why she got fired. You sleeping in a guest cabin for the 2nd time was more than enough reason to get you fired. Captain lee said if it happened again you would get fired. I think the reason why James never got fired was because even though he was a flirt and annoying at times and took the job as a vacation. He still did his job and never gave Eddie problems. The only problem Eddie had with him was when they slept in the cabin the 1st time and besides that he never gave Eddie problems. Elizabeth had more strikes against her versus James.
Rachel & Izzy did not help the situation. They both could have been more honest, their own dislike of Francesca clouded their advice to Elizabeth. That fueled her ego and dislike of Francesca;her assumption she was doing a good job. Rachel needs meds. She made up slights to fuel her own ego. It was like she was trying to be on the right side of Elizabeth for some reason. It made no sense to me why she wouldn't back Francesca. I guess she was stuck in the kitchen couldn't see how horribly Elizabeth was doing. The cake thing was just ridiculous totally Rachel blowing the whole thing out of proportion because one, she's probly drunk and two, She wanted to seem like she was some hero for Elizabeth. The lady really does need medication; I am assuming she's probably bipolar. I thought it weird and funny that everybody kept saying Francesca didn't like her from the start, Elizabeth. That's not true, she promoted her but then all of a sudden it was as if Elizabeth lost it. She couldn't stop screwing up everything, everything, yes everything! Izzy really was kind of a big baby about Rob. Yes, he was a little passive aggressive (i think for dramatic purposes too, may have gotten instructions to do that because there was no drama happening with them) but going as far as she did, was a little bit ridiculous. Maybe my dislike Izzy is coloring my comments about her but I just thought she was somebody that tried to "stir the pot" and was being a bit overdramatic about Rob. Don't get me wrong, Rob did say a few things that were a bit ridiculous but enough to go as far she did in her final commentary, nah!

Captain Lee summed up what a Yacht Steward should be in describing the Steward, Josiah that was supposed to replace Elizabeth. "He's extremely capable, he knows what needs to be done, he observes what needs to be done, his anticipation of guests needs is remarkable." Elizabeth was 100% none of this and purposely went out of her way to not be like this. It sounds like all her experiences before were with a staff that had to tell her what to do every minute of the day, like a child needs. She should've been fired after the first charter. Looks like she was only kept on for the drama.
I don’t feel bad for Elizabeth at all I don’t know why she is shocked that she was fired. She was warned repeatedly job first James second, she didn’t do it. She and James used the guest room not once but twice to hook up in she only got caught once, She made mustard gas and put other people safety at risk. When Francesca tried her what the issues were Elizabeth was acted like she was bratty teenager.

She won't. She also lied on her CV / resume. "Short stints, on & off, over [a period of] 4½ years," IS NOT 4½ years experience!!! And the way she behaved when she was fired was RIDICULOUS! Thirty??! Are we sure she isn't THIRTEEN?? I was sneakily fired (at the ssme age or younger) because I had gotten sick and I STILL didn't react that way! (They TECHNICALLY eliminated the position.) So many people are saying Fran has had it out for Elizabeth since day one, but really it's been Rachel, Elizabeth and Izzy who have been dragging Fran since the beginning. Even after the entire crew said there was no ill-intentions behind eating the cake, it's still Fran was malicious and a fake b for doing that. Watching Rachel and Elizabeth's interview sections are cringey. They're so far off base from reality and hell bent on hating and continuing to drag Fran.

Elizabeth does seem very nice. But a job is a job, and when your boss gives you instructions, then has to constantly come around to see if you are working, of course your boss will get irritated. Chess was too nice in my opinion, before she just had enough. The main problem here is Elizabeth doesn't think she did anything wrong....that she was doing the job. Hopefully she learns from this experience, but I suspect she may be fired again in the future from another job.

Crew members have been bangin on literally EVERY season of Below Deck! We've watched Department heads have sleepovers in the Guest Room on Mediterranean, Sailing Yacht, and Below Deck by Kate and one of the Chefs. "I'm disappointed in you Francesca!"
Yes, but the crew always let Kate or who ever was the chief stew know about it. Just can't go off an do whatever they liked. AND when there was the problem when the toilet was broken and the side panel in the bathroom...Kate had to say something and then the crew went after her.

Why do chefs get a pass to be abusive all the time? It’s not just on this show either, it’s in real life. They throw things, yell, name call, put down people and more. I get that it’s a high pressure job, but is that really an excuse to be a jerk and a bully?
Yes. I dated a chef for a while and he was a grouch! I couldn’t even be with him when he got home from work because he was miserable when he walked in the door.

When Elizabeth said in a previous episode, I hope to not fall in love on one charter at least. Makes you think, maybe that’s how she lasted so long on other charters . Possibly screwing around with the right person, so her job didn’t matter as much because whomever was getting some nookie on the side. Because the way she acted and obviously didn’t learn her job very well, how did she last through supposedly 4 yrs of charters ? Makes you wonder, because she was definitely not good at her job. Really curious her job performance from all her other charters turned out, she just didn’t have enough training ? How did she slide by so long, and said she’d fallen in love every charter she was on before this one. She was given a lot of chances to do better, but it was in one ear out the other. She needs to teach yoga or something? Seems it was something she was really into, so maybe she’d take more pride in her job ? But cleaning and dealing with clients , just not her cup of tea. Rachel really didn’t have any friends because of her behavior. Leaving the boat like she did, most lost respect for her. She maybe a great chef, but her people skills not so much. Not saying Francesca was very great at her job at times, there was a lack of communication between them. Elizabeth, omg. why wasnt james given the same treatment for sleeping in the guest room? i truly think it is double standard on the sitaution. ches was trying to find a reason because the personalities didnt work.
Because Eddie is James boss and Francesca is Elizabeths boss 😅 neither of them saw james and liz in the room but Francesca had a personal vendetta against Elizabeth so she pursued the situation more than Eddie
Well - he had not made deadly mustard gas , left guests to tend for themselves .. and the list goes on - so the cabin was just the last straw...

James did his work. Elizabeth didn't. All she wanted was to work as little as possible for big tips, cry victim when her work wasn't up to par and she got hooked on that 🍆 from James. She was given multiple opportunities to step it up but she didn't.

I can’t believe that she still doesn’t understand why she got fired. You sleeping in a guest cabin for the 2nd time was more than enough reason to get you fired. Captain lee said if it happened again you would get fired. I think the reason why James never got fired was because even though he was a flirt and annoying at times and took the job as a vacation. He still did his job and never gave Eddie problems. The only problem Eddie had with him was when they slept in the cabin the 1st time and besides that he never gave Eddie problems. Elizabeth had more strikes against her versus James.
Rachel & Izzy did not help the situation. They both could have been more honest, their own dislike of Francesca clouded their advice to Elizabeth. That fueled her ego and dislike of Francesca;her assumption she was doing a good job.
Rachel needs meds. She made up slights to fuel her own ego. It was like she was trying to be on the right side of Elizabeth for some reason. It made no sense to me why she wouldn't back Francesca. I guess she was stuck in the kitchen couldn't see how horribly Elizabeth was doing.
The cake thing was just ridiculous totally Rachel blowing the whole thing out of proportion because one, she's probly drunk and two, She wanted to seem like she was some hero for Elizabeth. The lady really does need medication; I am assuming she's probably bipolar.
I thought it weird and funny that everybody kept saying Francesca didn't like her from the start, Elizabeth. That's not true, she promoted her but then all of a sudden it was as if Elizabeth lost it. She couldn't stop screwing up everything, everything, yes everything!
Izzy really was kind of a big baby about Rob. Yes, he was a little passive aggressive (i think for dramatic purposes too, may have gotten instructions to do that because there was no drama happening with them) but going as far as she did, was a little bit ridiculous. Maybe my dislike Izzy is coloring my comments about her but I just thought she was somebody that tried to "stir the pot" and was being a bit overdramatic about Rob. Don't get me wrong, Rob did say a few things that were a bit ridiculous but enough to go as far she did in her final commentary, nah!

In the beginning Elizabeth did not talk back, just listened, she started to respond when Francesca was doing it publicly and in a very demeaning way.
Yea she wasn’t talking back and she wasn’t being reprimanded. She was being verbally abused and demeaned publicly. Worst chief stew ever. Please fire her. She just sucks. Chased away the other stew as well.

Omg! She should have been fired by Shane time. So much dramatic and nagging. 🙄 how can Elizabeth didn't see this coming. If the ep would mute Elizabeth part mayb would b better. The prob is that if she would own up her prob, fault and lack of work ethic then we all would accept her apology. Till this day she thinks everyone against her. Rachel is a good chef, but she shouldn't support and back up Elizabeth fault. That's not a friend.
Captain Lee summed up what a Yacht Steward should be in describing the Steward, Josiah that was supposed to replace Elizabeth. "He's extremely capable, he knows what needs to be done, he observes what needs to be done, his anticipation of guests needs is remarkable." Elizabeth was 100% none of this and purposely went out of her way to not be like this. It sounds like all her experiences before were with a staff that had to tell her what to do every minute of the day, like a child needs. She should've been fired after the first charter. Looks like she was only kept on for the drama.
I don’t feel bad for Elizabeth at all I don’t know why she is shocked that she was fired.
She was warned repeatedly job first James second, she didn’t do it.
She and James used the guest room not once but twice to hook up in she only got caught once,
She made mustard gas and put other people safety at risk.
When Francesca tried her what the issues were Elizabeth was acted like she was bratty teenager.
I agree with Eddie.. Rachel ordered it.. she should be pissed at herself for not canceling the cake.. but it seems like Rachel and Elizabeth blame everything on Chez instead of taking responsibility for their own screw ups..
I don't know why a lot of people didn't see it, but she had cancelled the cake. The restaurant (or possibly the show people) screwed it up.

Francesca found fault at every turn with Elizabeth. A little extra attention and kindness would have gone a long way. So many times when they have a beach party they have to run back to the boat to get something. Francesca was the failure, not Elizabeth. I can't believe Lee didn't see that. I have no interest in ever watching Francesca again
