If you read the instructions on the bottle of oxyclean it specifically says do not use with bleach! I actually remember years ago reading the instructions on a bottle of oxyclean, and wandering why...so I guess now I know....mustard gas is the result

Elizabeth had not do her job several times. She did not keep her work area neat and said that she is a messy artist. She said she would take the utensils to the table, and she did not do it. After these incidents, I think any boss or supervisor would be irritated with her and getting more and more frustrated with her. I think she should work with Kate and see how "really" rude and belittling truly was.

He's not self sufficient and was implying that he recieved no further instruction so there was nothing else for him to do. Buddy you're a deck hand, THERE is ALWAYS something to do. Letting him go was a great call by the Captain. That crew has no time for an unproductive body on board.

Everyone is freaking out about chefs behavior....but hind sight is 2020. It was the beginning of the pandemic, when we didnt know what was going on! Countries were shutting down, people were dying. Soooooo had we known now what we knew then we all probably would have jumped ship and gone home to be safe with family.

It makes a gas that mustard gas would do if you were around mustard gas like burning your lungs and toxins through your respiratory system.

The menu did sound ridiculous but you didn't see Chef Ben crying or walking off the boat... maybe he cried like once because he was talking about how he went into the culinary world trying to prove that he wasn't just a prep school kid but that was different and unrelated. And OMG Elizabeth is SO annoying she should have been fired along with Shane after the whole MUSTARD GAS incident.

They painted Francesca in a very bad light this season as if she was lazy & not a good Chief Stew. She could have been more attentive to the guests with serving them the first few charters every meal; but people don’t realize everything that just be down behind the scenes of any working machine and that’s the ONLY thing I can even think of at all. I’m a manager myself and employees under you take everything SO personally as if everything isn’t just business and as if things don’t HAVE to be dealt with when in a higher position. Elizabeth doesn’t take responsibility or even just LEARN from mistakes, she just takes it personally! Those who are not managers usually don’t understand. I like Francesca. If my employees whined like Elizabeth did about the bleach, (or anything else) I wouldn’t have it -she could have simply said “yes ma’am I’m sorry” and just LEARNED from the mistakes!- she would be an amazing stew or even Chief stew someday if she wanted to absorb knowledge through experience. Francesca is just also painted as a bit “boring” this season since there wasn’t any good drama between crew members this year - were used to our fav CS (Kate) being a infamous one-liner spitfire who always had some drama w the girls. hope Francesca is back for another season! 🛥

Everyone is freaking out about chefs behavior....but hind sight is 2020. It was the beginning of the pandemic, when we didnt know what was going on! Countries were shutting down, people were dying. Soooooo had we known now what we knew then we all probably would have jumped ship and gone home to be safe with family.

But apparently it's not unusual in the industry for yacht chefs to quit halfway through a season, so if the choice is between someone crazy who does great work and someone who might also turn out to be crazy and you're unsure of their work performance...
Francesca has the patience of a saint when managing Elizabeth. If I were Elizabeth's chief stew, that bleach incident would have been the last straw. I'd tell her to pack up her things and get off the boat ASAP. Elizabeth's stupidity is a dangerous liability.
Up front there should be basic limits on what can be requested. They requested a special meal at every meal. Rachael wants to be a mom so the mouth control needs to happen ASAP. Absolutely. They are paying $250,000 to $500,000 for 2-3 days - most are expecting high end 5 star meals. It looks like these charter guests went so far over the top, it was too much 1 chef.
