To be fair one of the funniest/fun ow1 games I ever had we picked 5 dps and the last guy was complaining like hell so he went dps as well on illios we absolutely rolled the other team and by the end of the game he was cracking up how silly it was. Role queue is a blessing but I do miss games like that.
This is why I love open queue. You never know how the game will end. Sometimes you win with 2-1-2, 1-1-3, 2-0-3 or 1-3-1 😂

If my team is tracter,hanzo,Widowmaker,mercy,sombra i know we loss..If you dont have a tank or support you lose..I know that we are going to lose base on the character screen..Not really surprising

i play ranked open queue and i can tell you this is exactly what its like. either nobody wants to play support or its all just goats. it is absolute insanity

This is exactly what open queue is - everyone ego locks dps, and whichever team loses eventually transitions to goats, causing the other team to do the same. Or if their egos are high enough they never swap and then just lose
I like the freedom of open queue. If only people was smart enough if you lack tank role or lack support you can instantly switch to whatever we need to make the comp better. That’s how I always saw it at least.

I like open queue for the triple shotgun comp. Reaper, hog, JQ. Anything that gets hooked/knifed will instantly die.
Add a mauga and lucio and play in a knot and youll be invincible

I recently played against a team that was literally all tanks and we still won, it was insane. I have noticed that most OQ games have 2 or 3 tanks lately, too
I’ve been actually enjoying open queue more than rq - i enjoy multiple tanks and healers - and people underestimate a good dps.
My games are more varied and I win more. Mostly because i’m a sup/tank main, and it’s better for me to be able to swap to what my team needs - rather than being a sitting duck solo tank when they have pharmercy and nobody else can aim xD
Goats with Thomas Jefferson would be hell, actually impossible to get a kill the second that tree erupts from the ground

That's why I hate open queue. When I played it for the first few seasons it was great, but then it just turned into GOATS every single match.
My teams last few days in open q have been playing normal 1-2-2 roles and it baffles me everytime

in theory it seems fun but in reality 1 lost fight and everyone swap to dps and they start dying every 10 sec and crying about heals when they only have zen
The amount of times my OQ games have gone from 1 enemy tank, 3 DPS and ana comp.... to an orisa, roadhog, dva, mercy, bastion comp.
It's enough to make someone insane.

Open queue ranked is significantly more fun in my opinion, you can experiment with combos you can’t in regular. Most of the time you get two tanks and it’s more hectic and rewarding

Open queue is actually purgatory; everyone looks for the next person to play healer so you get one support, 2 DPS, and 2 tanks

Hello, i play mainly rein and i would like to know which hero would be good to learn to play to balance Rein weaknesses
(i'm only like early gold)
Id recommend picking up a good allrounder tank to default back to when things look bad. Imo thats Sigma or Orisa, if you feel like going meta.
Other than that a dive tank would be the complete opposite of rein, but those either hard to learn or not very good right now.
Alternatively in lower ranks the new roadhog can be good for solo carrying if your team is unreliable. Provided you have the skill to land hooks.

Open queue insanity is the only way I can unlock achievements anymore. I got both of dooms sprays in one play session.
I play in bronze on open queue, and the comps are hilarious. A five tank stack is not uncommon, and 2-3 tanks is the norm

Anyone have the 'details' of the Reaper Pixel achievemnt? I've spawncamped countless widowmakers and killed them solo without reloading. I have multiple killstreaks with Reaper doing solo 3 to 4 men (both with and without ultimate), still won't unlock...

Mercy is a bad pick when everyone else is DPS. The best pick is Zen. He's fine healing squishes, it's only tanks he struggles with, and discord is a monster when you have that many DPS focusing the target. "You may fire when ready"

Nah ow needs to add one support and all tanks as a game mode, with the supp obv having more healing and payload being faster while respawns take slighty longer

Is anyone else having trouble against Zarya still? Every second match as tank I win a fight, they just swap to Zarya amd there isn't a single tank in my experience that works, like I though maybe Rammatra because of the piercing fists thing, but it doesn't work, and it's feels so shitty to just sit there in a fight and not be able to hurt her, counter play her or anything. It's just flat out not fun. Does anyone have any idea for some kind of way to deal with Zarya that isn't just, staring at her...?

I love comp open queue with randoms. I just can't take this mode seriously and just use that one to get points for gold weapons.

Open Queue is only tanks when teams go against me. When people are on my team thought they always go 4 flanking dps or all snipers or something stupid. I prefer role queue because you can swap roles to fix inefficiencies in your comp, but its definitely annoying that others dont do that. They just all want to play genji or widow. I don't get why these people even play comp at all if thats what they are going to do.
This might sound odd but I would of gone 2 tanks 2 dps 1 support and just made every support into a raid boss support general. Don't know but I find that to be interesting. How you make every support that though I can't tell ya. Lucio, Zen, and Mercy are the ones I feel will be the most awkward to make.

I used to play TDM every other day(as it was available). And play RQ when it wasn’t. But since OW2, it’s just a tank fest. Just boring now.

Dps fests are fun ... until the other team swaps to goats.
DPS fests are fun with heroes like Ashe, Reaper, Soldier, Junkrat, and the likes. A lot less fun with Bastion and Mei.

Eh, Id disagree. Mei and Bastion are tank killers. An equally good dps shoulb be able to kill them every time, unless they are horibly out of position.
