Man love this build and glad you saved one of them!! Yeah they weren't as good looking as the earlier malibus but nowadays there cool and you just dont see them anymore!! You make it look so easy to work your skills and make a clunker into a masterpiece!!! Love the channel and content because its real and a one man show not fake hired out shit like other channels i use to watch have become!!!! Keep up the amazing work!!!!
I’m in the process of selling several of my properties here in North Carolina, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that certainty that as soon as as I finish one transaction I won’t hesitate to pay your price for that gorgeous car. I have watched all the work you have done and that is a very fair price. You are doing an amazing Job on it. I have a 454 with 32,000 miles on it that I would love to cram in that beauty. Great Work!
Had no idea '77 Chevelle's were available with that many options. Very cool. Glad you're saving it. Man, you've done an incredible amount of work on this car. Kudos 👍
Good afternoon from Cape Cod ⚓ the Malibu is looking very nice. The seat inserts look a 1000% better dyed. You keep doing exactly as you feel fit don't worry about people's opinions. ✌️🇺🇲
I. Have to say you put in more work in that car than most would But with that said that interior looks fantastic man. And when you get done with the body and paint you're gonna have a good looking car
Lee I think the seats and interior looks great it's 100% better. You should tell these guys with the great ideas of painting the engine and taking the seats out to wash them if they want to come over and do it great lol, no the car is coming along great I love it keep up the good work
Looking good Lee ! I use a 1 gallon of 30w bar and chain oil mixed with a tube of Lucas red tacky grease ratio. Heated up in a big crockpot and sprayed on HOT underneath my trucks . If you don't the northern Vermont road salt will destroy everything 😜
Lee, I don’t know if it will work down there and maybe it was one of the glues you already tried. I used 3M spray can glue on cars around the world, Alaska, Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arizona, Hawaii, etc. etc. It seemed to always hold. You spray it on both surfaces, let it almost completely dry, then stick them together like a contact cement. I know you are in extreme sun and heat down there and it may take the right glue under the right conditions when you apply it. Great work, you are the best on utube pulling off budget builds the average guy could do.
Lee you should really purchase a cheap outdoor used 4 post lift, those ramps and jack stands are dangerous. I wish you would’ve showed the degreaser results. Keep rolling.😎
I gave up on aerosol spray glue.. all the headliners I used it on fell down… nothing works for me either. I found the 3M brush on contact cement works best for me. Best part on is you can brush it on heavy , especially in the problem areas. Don’t be stingy brushing it on.. the regular can lasts a lot longer than the spray cans.
I think that dye should be ok on the cloth material shouldn't come off. On the vinyl I could see it coming off tho. "Give it to Art" yeah right sure.😁 People say some crazy chit! Looking good Lee catch ya next time brother. 😉✌
Lee on Clunkers and classics on that red dye you're using the right dye and the way you're supposed to use it but put after that put Scotchgard over the seats it will seal it just like furniture are carpet on your carpet it protects it I got a Scotchgard spray it's all it is Scotchgard will work
Better hope your buddy Art wins the lottery because no one wants a(Malibu Classic) body style saw low mileage 76 Classic for $5800.00! Now Luguna S-3 more resale value!
Get it krown rust spray under coding is no good even painting oil spray I have been doing it ever year no rust my frame is amazing condition. And I drive in winter.
Talking about giving the car back to dude, I don’t understand why some people always wanna give more to people that have plenty already. Friend of mine use to say. Give to the needy not the greedy. I saw someone sent a high dollar mig welder to sleeperdude the other day. He can buy 2 dozen of them if he wanted to But people like me and you are using cheap harbor freight specials. I don’t know about you but there is no way I can afford a Lincoln mig welder. The harbor freight is all I can do , it’s that or nothing
@@clunkersandclassics well you just chased me off. I’m done. I hope others follow suit because if you can’t see Trump is the best chance we have , you’re insane. You complain about prices but yet support the very people that drive the cost up.
🗿💨 Much respect Lee, you've changed the destiny of this old gal. I remember you saying that there would be ten k in saving it and i thought that would be cheap. 🧲 Hope she finds a new home with someone that takes care of her. Thanks for sharing the journey 😎👍
So much fkn work. Change every panel except the headlight and tail light extensions, halfass the interior. All that to end up with a lipsticked pig. The only thing this car kinda had going for it, was a faded set of swivel bucket seats. On the other hand the only thing that really matters is "you" like it, I guess.
Great job on this car.
Thanks
It’s looking great !
Thanks
Great job it looks Great!!!

I'd love to see an old pic of Art with the car back in his beach/chick cruising days.😄

Thanks.

I thank headers and dauls would make the car sound better. But it's doing awesome
great job im doing a cortina on my youtube
It made a big difference with the cloth seats.

Spray bottle for the dye. Silicone glue for the plastic headliner piece
I think that dye should be ok on the cloth material shouldn't come off. On the vinyl I could see it coming off tho. "Give it to Art" yeah right sure.😁 People say some crazy chit! Looking good Lee catch ya next time brother. 😉✌

Don't forget to take the black plastic 1/4 panel vents off the parts car for the New build before you scrap it..
I already did
Try Velcro strips to hold that head liner. Also use your spray gun to apply the dye.
I do think the awesome work you do is well worth $10,000 easily.
Thanks
👍👍💪💪👌👌✔✔❤❤😎😎😎😎
That car is the epitome of the Malaise Era in automotive history
👍👍👍
I believe the tape will work car looks great
LEE, YOU WORK TOO HARD TO GIVE ANYTHING AWAY.
Lee on Clunkers and classics on that red dye you're using the right dye and the way you're supposed to use it but put after that put Scotchgard over the seats it will seal it just like furniture are carpet on your carpet it protects it I got a Scotchgard spray it's all it is Scotchgard will work
Could you put a few chrome stubby interior screws in that plastic piece by rear window that keeps coming unglued?
Try Scoch guard to keep dye from bleeding though or rubbing off.
Try oven cleaner will clean engine and engine compartment
true
You'll need help puting the hood on.those mother fs are heavy.what about side pipes.80s style it.peace
Maybe Scotchguard spray over the dyed seats will lock the color in better....
Looking good and lotta hard work. I'm not real hot on the headlights, takes away from the classic look
I have had very good luck using 3M Super 77 spray adhesive for fixing headliners! I hope this helps.
Yes it pails off and keeps moisture between
Are u going to paint it just black or u going to put a red pin strip to
black with silver stripes, red pinstripe
I can't wait it's going to look good
What do you do about oversray of the other cars when you are painting?
keep them away from the garage
Hey Lee i wonder if your friend is watching the build series of his old car and what he thinks?
not sure but will let him know soon
Lee coming along . What is the next project
scooby doo van
Food coloring ?
On headliner
Dry silicone
Better hope your buddy Art wins the lottery because no one wants a(Malibu Classic) body style saw low mileage 76 Classic for $5800.00! Now Luguna S-3 more resale value!

kind of like sending Trump money when he says he's worth $12 billion.. but people do it..lol
