It was my high school graduation present in 1984. A 1976 Chevy Malibu. 305 cubic inch v8. I went from riding my ten speed bike 8 miles one way to work every day. To drive my 76 Malibu to work. I was the happiest 18 year old in the world. “ Thanks Dad. RIP. I Love You and miss you “. Would love to buy another 76 Malibu one day. And relive my youth!!!! Thanks for sharing your video.
People may not like this style malibu, but it has a million times the character than all cookie cutter cars they manufacture today. Thanks for keeping her alive, brother.
Once again you did a lot of work and kept the build cheap, so far. I like the filler panel, way to create that from a truck, I do that kind of thing on customs. Nice demo on block sanding. Love the channel, you are a great teacher for the average guy to learn. Way to go.
I gotta thank you for helping me back into my roots Paint and Body circa 1983. Been busting out a 1948 Willys jeep because of you. Thanks I appreciate You.
Looking great Lee ! I usually lose patience with the block sanding, but im normally just painting my old work trucks so they don't need to be perfect 😜
Good morning from Cape Cod 🦈 your rounding the bend and heading for the finish line, your work is looking awesome Lee 💯 I think the black and silver is a great combination. ✌️🇺🇲
I remember when I first started watching your videos I seen you drive past this car on your property and I think you told me a buddy of yours left it there or something I'm in love with that body style I tried to buy green with green inside green outside all original car and I was in love with it but I love this when you're doing it caught my eye when you drove past it and one of your videos a couple of years ago but nowadays I watch your videos for hours and I've watched everything you do I loved the nomad I watched you drive all the way through Hot rod power tour I've watched you build and paint The nomad along with a lot of others and paint them and build them and everything else but this one is going to be another one of my favorites like that nomad
Great video a lot of work mate i can understand why panel repair shops charge so much its $2500 AUD here in Australia for just a closed door respray without repairs if the cars straight rust free you do a great job your outside keeping active saving money too
The car is rare its worth fixing and... I always got tires from a tire place.when they put them out back.those were the good old days.now...there's no 14 15 inch tires anymore.ill see you on painting day...peace...
Friends travel in their motorhome with Starlink and use the same dish at their house. Like you they gave limited broadband options. They're very happy with it. They are older and not techies, and say setup is super easy.
You've put a lot of time and energy into this car. It's beginning to pay off. Little concerned on the dyed interior. Was having Dejavou watching, alot of same toiling with my Monte Carlo.
That HughesNet or whatever satellite you have it gets capped at 30 gigs. And then it slows you down. Starlink is high speed NO Data caps . Just have to pay for the equipment The install is super easy . C'MON MAN ‼️
i used to fix hughesnet systems and many other communication types before retiring .i was embarrassed to represent hughesnet it was so slow and they and there customer service was terrible.i also had hughesnet for about 5 years before finding a point to point line of sight system that bounced off of cell towers same price much faster and no limits.the one out of tampa was called rapid systems rs air high speed. there might be something similar in your area its worth looking into.nice work on the malibu.

The bumper filler was a good idea. Adapt a part from another model to serve the same purpose on a different model. So if you are going to let the paint cure on this car, what are you going to work on in the meantime? Mechanicals on this car or maybe jump over to the van?

I'm not a mechanic...can you use a tire to cut out the bumper pads? I like your content and the cars you save.
it's possible
