    I’m italian, I have lived in Rome for 10 years now, and I can definitely say you captured the true roman spirit in this video. I know how difficult it is for people born in other countries (especially USA) to guess or understand our kind of life because when you see Italy in tv or movies is often from an american point of view of view (like american directors, writers and productions), that is usually very romanticized. But this…this is the true Rome.

    • @fefe8onlyou
      @fefe8onlyou Год назад

      @@ganeshr4371 mmh Rome is a pretty safe place but if you are a woman alone, maybe I wouldn’t recommend to leave the airport and visit the city at night. If you are a man or a group of people and you don’t want to waste 9 hours in the airport, you could take a train or a bus and visit the city. Of course, you should stay always vigilant for pickpockets. I recommend to keep the wallet and documents in the most hidden pocket you have on yourself (not in your bag or backpack). Take in mind that there aren’t a lot of bus at night and that the underground is closed so, once you’re in the city, you may need to walk a lot to move around. Depending on what airport are you traveling from, consider with care the time you will need to return there.
      Other than that, you should be fine.

    As a Roman citizen, I have appreciated your video very much. I believe that it gives quite an accurate view of the spirit of the city. Of course, it does so from the point of view of a person with much spare time… and very, very hungry! :)) However, each single thing is true, although we don’t do all that stuff on our typical day: we also have a job! ;) But it’s true: I often go biking or jogging at Parco degli Acquedotti, I do stroll within the center during nights, I do eat a slice of pizza or a supplì while seating on the steps of a fountain, I do like a gelato at 5pm, I do like having an aperitivo, I do like having dinner in an osteria or in a pizzeria…
    As a suggestion for incoming people interested in the real city: get a B&B outside the historical center, for example along the subway line A or B.
    Cheers

    Life in Rome is completely the opposite of life in America. The Roman way of taking life, of enjoying life at any moment of the day, is something exemplary. In America people are always in a hurry, even when drinking a coffee (they take it to go and run away). While the Roman knows how to enjoy even the small moments of the day, even just having a coffee at the bar and have a chat with some friends.

    I have been studying Italian so you tubes algorithm sent me this. Glad they did. She is classic, sexy, styled, refined, with a helping of Baroque flair! Not unlike Roma herself! Brava!

    Went to Rome a few years ago in July, and am guilty of doing the typical touristy things. Like you stated I need to just enjoy Rome or any major city really and just relax and enjoy it!! I really need to do more of that anywhere I visit. I do hope I get to go back to Rome and enjoy it more the second time around. Nicely done and said Angelica. Bravo😊!!

    Great video, once again. I am very glad to see that more and more people are watching your excellent videos and appreciate the good work that you've been doing for more than a year now. Your videos aren't boring at all it really makes us travel with you. Thank you so much for not picking lousy electro-music that so many vloggers use as background sound (probably because it is free). I also loved the way you put that video together with the old school cuts and that you let inhabitants talk and explain us their Rome with their own words, in their own language. Excelleny Idea. I had as much fun watching this video as watching the one about Napoli. Sei molto brava ;-) ... Keep up the good work !

    Great recommendations to enjoy the city by wandering its streets and eating good food. However, the "dolce vita" term originates from the famous 1960 Fellini movie of the same name. The theme of Fellini's movie was actually a critique of the vacuousness of the "sweet life" in Rome post WWII, which was built on the ruins of Italian poverty and initiated a meaningless era of mass consumerism. Exploring and learning about any culture in context of its history makes travel less about consumption and more meaningful.
