I cannot say when it started, but at least 18 years ago, my prayer life shifted. I learned through the leading of the Holy Spirit, to pray differently. We have a tendency to put God in a box; we have a tendency to think of Him as just a bigger version of ourselves; we have a tendency to forget that we really are like the Whos, in "Horton Hears a Who". God is so much more, so much greater, so much more capable then we give Him credit for. There is absolutely nothing that He is not capable of, not one thing. Trusting Him this much is life changing. You're right, and I learned through this one verse by the spirit that no matter what I am looked at by anyone else, I'm covered because the law is love the neighbor as I do myself and that's it, because doing that is keeping Jesus words and naturally you will love the Father who sent Jesus but first what is love actully in the eyes of God the Father? The second line my spirit said turn your attention to these trespassers and forgive them as you forgive me for my trespasses. Beautiful prayer, I see what other commentary are saying, if this us speaking of the ultimate enemy Satan and demons then I'll stick with the original prayer, no entry! But in most cases in life we find that the enemies we fight aren't directly demons, often they are people, those people may be under intense of demons but we want to deny entry to the demon only, not the person if they can be saved with us.
