  • Hey everyone, thanks for watching! This footage was taken a month and a half ago so it's a bit out of our timeline but I still wanted to make a video and share this incredible place! It was such an easy and rewarding hike. Highly recommend checking this out if you have the opportunity!

Incredible! I mapped this location, it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere! I don't even see the dirt road to get there on maps!

Yeah it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere, the gravel road was a bit intimidating but it was well worth it!!

Music was so fitting, only the drone can capture how amazing it is there. Well done, time for a south island cheese roll 😁

@@christianAU they're all from my partners drone! He's got all the fancy equipment lol. A mavic mini 2 I think, they're relatively affordable now that the newer model has been released. Keep going! It's a long road but if you enjoy content creation it's really worth it!

I really need to explore more of my own country, I think I'll take a month off next year and just drive around the South Island and go to places like this.

    • @brittanymorgan09
      @brittanymorgan09  Год назад +1

That sounds amazing! I'm shocked by how many people come here from overseas for like 2 weeks and try to see the whole country. There is SO much to see it's unreal.

@brittanymorgan09 the only place outside of a city in the South Island I've visited was the town of Naseby in Otago, beautiful old mining town. A friend was helping doing landscaping nearby for a Netflix movie set in the old west, and it was cheaper to do it in NZ than actual America lol, really felt like the wild west America vibes to someone who's never been there.
But that was only for a weekend, definitely need to do a road trip there properly

We're desperate to head to Edoras. It's about a 2 hour drive from us, so well within the confines of a day trip!

It's so worth it, the scenery is unreal! We saw a few people turn around while driving down the gravel road but it's really not that far or bad so keep pushing if you get discouraged!

Great video, this isn't relevant but when you toured the north island.
Were you able to visit the Stonehenge Aotearoa (Replica) Wairarapa, just to the east of Wellington?
I myself visited Stonehenge Salisbury England back in 1978,
    it was a thrilling experience.
Strangely, few of my 35mm slides of and around it have survived (?)....
I'm hoping to be able to visit New Zealand's Stonehenge,
which was a news feature a couple days ago.

Thank you! No we weren't able to check that out but I've heard a couple of people mention it. There's so many spots we want to check out on the north island still, hopefully we get to return before going back to Canada!
