There is a lot of secret weapons, additional areas, the game can even continue after the final cutscene and unlocks the last third of the story. The aggressive forest animals scared me more than siren head. Especially how the wolf took out whole pack of deer by itself and rabid fox that just started attacking you, like what fox hunts human?
My theory is that the animals are like this because they are terrified of this new addition to their wild life, which is the cryptid! And fear causes them to be overly sensitive which also makes them more violent. It's a cope mechanism.
Somehow, Fooster is able to bring the STORYTELLING of his videos to another level, unlike any other creator I've seen. You could watch 10 creators play through the same game, but out of all of them Fooster's would be the one that has you gasping, screaming, and laughing--and HIS would be the one that stands out in your memory. I genuinely don't know how he does it, but he brings a magic combination of humour, humility, immersion and....for lack of a better term, a "native tour-guide" quality (like someone giving a tour of their beloved hometown) to every single game. It's real, passionate, resonates with his audience, and just a delight to experience every game with him. Thanks for all your great work, Fooster! So, my husband was walking by while I was watching this video, when Fooster was in the abandoned sawmill and he literally glanced at the screen, stopped and said, "Weird, the layout of where Fooster is looks almost exactly like a Call of Duty map called "Freight". The only difference (for the section of the sawmill that he saw) was there was a building where a parking lot should be." My husband has been playing Call of Duty for 20 years. Did anyone else notice that? Siren Head has to be the MOST terrifying cryptid I have ever seen!! I mean when a Wendigo is trying to warn you, you KNOW it's bad! Now, the funniest thing popped into my head when Fooster had said something like that. I pictured this small building with a Wendigo, Bigfoot, Yeti, Chupacabras, Mothman among other cryptids, sitting in chairs, coffee mugs in hands, shivering from fear as they listen intently to each other's testimonies about Siren Head. I guess that's my brain's way of making a situation not seem so bad. LOL
Maybe it's just me, but I've always thought the decision to make siren head run was a mistake. He's a lot more intimidating for me when he's just walking and the fact that he's so large makes him cover the ground needed to maintain a chase.
I think either way, the fact that he looks like he shouldnt be able to move fast creates more panic when it actually happens. Even if he was to slowly stomp his way towards you though especially hearing the sounds it would be horrible 😆

Not sure if I'm the only one that noticed, but at 1:25:45 when siren head starts making noises in the field, Fooster turns around and there is a big tree right there. He then turns around again, then a weird noise happens behind him and he turns back around, the tree is gone. Super creepy lol
Yep, when the horn sounded off the first time and he turned around to find the lone tree, Fooster didn't know but that tree was Siren Head actively hunting him lol. Got very lucky with that one.

Idk why but for some reason out of all the Cryptids, Siren Head is the scariest to me😅. Just the thought of KNOWING you’re miles away from any civilization and then all of a sudden hearing announcements like on a radio would absolutely kill my soul🤣

Thoughts and old stories of eldritch, unconscionable horrors just on the edge of human perception, things our ancestors never understood (western settlers in the US, for example, hearing a, "woman," scream, in certain territories, which we now know are mountain lions). It plays on our, "wait... this is familiar, but... wrong," part of our brains, and *that* is what makes it *so* awful. That's kinda why HP Lovecraft became so popular, especially after psychology really took off after his time. We aren't just afraid of what we don't know: We are afraid of what we don't understand: one step further, we are *terrified* of things at, this particular moment, we *cannot* understand. Science will prevail... But until then, there will always be unexplained phenomena that we cannot understand, no matter how far our science goes... it just pushes the eldritch horrors back a step further, until we understand the source/cause of whatever it is we're facing. Christ, man, I'm sorry I hit you with a wall of text. Psychology fascinates me.

Who doesn't like a good old bit of siren head. I enjoyed that, I always like the sound it makes. I can always imagine it standing at the edge of a forest in a low hanging mist. Just like the Spinosaurus did in Jurassic Park III, when the satphone rang in its belly. OH, so good. The other thing I like about sirenhead is that he's fast. He may look big and slow, but he can run and be upon you in but a couple of steps. Cool Cryptid. 😊👍

We had a swampy area like that behind the neighborhood when I was a kid. The houses were on a hill. The bottom of the hill was parking with the swamp behind it. Behind the houses was just STRAIGHT FOREST. Like, beyond the chain link fence of your backyard was PURE WOODS. Anyways I was like 4/5 when we moved there, we stayed there for a few years. I remember catching tadpoles with my mom in the swamp. Then we raised the tadpoles into actual frogs and release them into the swamp. They were a native frog that was having a hard time repopulating apparently. My mom and I loved frogs so we just decided to help. Got the okay from the local government though. To this day, hearing froggies reminds me of that time and spending time with my mom. Good ol' days.

I saw another game recently where you have a small inventory and can't pick up a key or even hairpin lockpick unless you empty your inventory first. In this game, you can carry around a car battery. Games are so realistic.
Those mushrooms are bad bad. So are frogs and snakes with bright colours. When I'm in the bush I just leave everything alone unless I really need it. Northern Canada it is called 'the bush' Farther north you go the shorter the trees.

Love how Siren head is just calmly walking back and forth in the train yard. It's so jarring seeing a standard looking walk animation be used by something so large.
Just wanted to say, you asked questions about elements in the game that you know was 100% in the previous version. You played this in that version. I remember that video. It's kinda silly to me that you are questioning if something is something even though the locales didn't change position. It's only gotten texture updates & the opening of doors has a new thing where you have to manipulate it. Other than that, nothing was rearranged. IDK what's going on in your melon, but my melon sees the same stuff in the same places & the same progression, etc. the whole playthrough you seemed confused or like you completely forgot.
There are some fictional entities I do find really weird, creepy and definitely in some instances pretty terrifying - Siren Head, alas, isn't one of them. I don't know what it is that makes it creepy or weird to other people; not saying it shouldn't, I just don't know what it is.
The inherent terror that those siren sounds tend to cause, as they generally only indicate imminent danger. The potentially deafening volume of its "broadcasts." The sheer size of it. The weird, freaky speaker mouths. The gaunt, lanky limbs. The sinewy, fibrous flesh. The speed. The strength. The ability to blend in and ambush its prey. Take your pick.

Just as you thought it couldn't get any worse theres one called multi head, it can mimic the voices of everyone you've ever heard and everyone your gonna hear in your life time, it's the black that doesn't reflect light, it's way bigger, scarier, stronger, it can move faster, and he can scream so loud it makes your head explode.
At 29:30, then throughout, that Siren Head figure / creature you saw doesn't make me think of The Ritual (which *is* a good movie), but more of "The Wicker Man." ... That extra key you fished for, for so long, didn't seem to help. The cabin it unlocked didn't have anything important. It mentions yet *another* key in a door, but we never get to or see it. Strange.

Oh wow!! Over an hour of fooster on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The only thing that could make this better is Fisk cracking jokes and making you do all the work.
Idk why but for some reason out of all the Cryptids, Siren Head is the scariest to me😅. Just the thought of KNOWING you’re miles away from any civilization and then all of a sudden hearing announcements like on a radio would absolutely kill my soul🤣
It speaks to our lizard brain. Thoughts and old stories of eldritch, unconscionable horrors just on the edge of human perception, things our ancestors never understood (western settlers in the US, for example, hearing a, "woman," scream, in certain territories, which we now know are mountain lions). It plays on our, "wait... this is familiar, but... wrong," part of our brains, and *that* is what makes it *so* awful. That's kinda why HP Lovecraft became so popular, especially after psychology really took off after his time. We aren't just afraid of what we don't know: We are afraid of what we don't understand: one step further, we are *terrified* of things at, this particular moment, we *cannot* understand. Science will prevail... But until then, there will always be unexplained phenomena that we cannot understand, no matter how far our science goes... it just pushes the eldritch horrors back a step further, until we understand the source/cause of whatever it is we're facing. Christ, man, I'm sorry I hit you with a wall of text. Psychology fascinates me.

Who doesn't like a good old bit of siren head. I enjoyed that, I always like the sound it makes. I can always imagine it standing at the edge of a forest in a low hanging mist. Just like the Spinosaurus did in Jurassic Park III, when the satphone rang in its belly. OH, so good. The other thing I like about sirenhead is that he's fast. He may look big and slow, but he can run and be upon you in but a couple of steps. Cool Cryptid. 😊👍

We had a swampy area like that behind the neighborhood when I was a kid. The houses were on a hill. The bottom of the hill was parking with the swamp behind it. Behind the houses was just STRAIGHT FOREST. Like, beyond the chain link fence of your backyard was PURE WOODS.
Anyways I was like 4/5 when we moved there, we stayed there for a few years. I remember catching tadpoles with my mom in the swamp. Then we raised the tadpoles into actual frogs and release them into the swamp. They were a native frog that was having a hard time repopulating apparently. My mom and I loved frogs so we just decided to help. Got the okay from the local government though. To this day, hearing froggies reminds me of that time and spending time with my mom. Good ol' days.

I remember seeing this and thinking, if the dev does it right it could be an amazing game! And it did not disappoint! Now I know that Fooster definitely contributed a lot to how much I enjoyed the gameplay, LOL, but I love open world horror style games! Anyway it ended up being really good!

I saw another game recently where you have a small inventory and can't pick up a key or even hairpin lockpick unless you empty your inventory first. In this game, you can carry around a car battery. Games are so realistic.
Those mushrooms are bad bad. So are frogs and snakes with bright colours. When I'm in the bush I just leave everything alone unless I really need it. Northern Canada it is called 'the bush' Farther north you go the shorter the trees.

Just wanted to say, you asked questions about elements in the game that you know was 100% in the previous version. You played this in that version. I remember that video. It's kinda silly to me that you are questioning if something is something even though the locales didn't change position. It's only gotten texture updates & the opening of doors has a new thing where you have to manipulate it. Other than that, nothing was rearranged.
IDK what's going on in your melon, but my melon sees the same stuff in the same places & the same progression, etc. the whole playthrough you seemed confused or like you completely forgot.

There are some fictional entities I do find really weird, creepy and definitely in some instances pretty terrifying - Siren Head, alas, isn't one of them.
I don't know what it is that makes it creepy or weird to other people; not saying it shouldn't, I just don't know what it is.

The weird, freaky speaker mouths. The gaunt, lanky limbs. The sinewy, fibrous flesh. The speed. The strength. The ability to blend in and ambush its prey.

Just as you thought it couldn't get any worse theres one called multi head, it can mimic the voices of everyone you've ever heard and everyone your gonna hear in your life time, it's the black that doesn't reflect light, it's way bigger, scarier, stronger, it can move faster, and he can scream so loud it makes your head explode.

At 29:30, then throughout, that Siren Head figure / creature you saw doesn't make me think of The Ritual (which *is* a good movie), but more of "The Wicker Man." ... That extra key you fished for, for so long, didn't seem to help. The cabin it unlocked didn't have anything important. It mentions yet *another* key in a door, but we never get to or see it. Strange.
