i’d personally say it goes both ways. these negating effects are almost necessary to balance the game bc combo decks are just not fun to play against. i actually like having a game where all combos are negated on both sides and now we have to scram to try to get the best monsters we can bc there’s a lot more thought and tactics that goes into it when your combo doesn’t work

I go 2nd, I don't draw to any of my hand traps, and somehow I always draw Deskbot 001 in my opening hand. 6 Losses in a row. Now I'm stuck in Diamond 3 😂
i played with non-hand trap players in room matches, it was a bit new to me as i was enjoying the game and for some reason i did not feel aggressive and competitive.
Sometimes it does feels like that, I can't tell how many times I had just the right cards to auto-win the game, but also how many times I went second without drawing any handtrap/going second card. The strength of a deck and the ability of a player shows overtime, there will always be those duel that last 2 turn and that's it, won because the opponent had Maxx "C" or Nibiru and you had no way of negating it.

We need called by the grave at 3 man it stops WAY to much BS to only be at 2. Its literally the only card I always want to see in my opening hand every single game, even more then maxx c and ash blossom.
I hate when that happens One time I thought I was playing against Eldlich but it turned out that he had 2 called by the grave 1 permanent and 1 droplet the worst thing that he had maxx c in his hand that was the worst duel I've ever had :( spoilers I didn't scope I played throw all of them ;)
