Originally composed by Ishaan Dev, written by Manesh M.P., the Onam song (Malarani Maasathil- • MALARANI MAASATHIL -Is... ) is like a very refreshing breeze in lockdown times rendered beautifully by Angelene and Merlin.
Year 2020 has been spent under lockdown by humanity, however the spirit to survive and thrive is unchallenged. Our festivals are designed to give impetus to the zest and colors of life, to keep all happy and hale under any trying circumstances.
We have attempted to upkeep the spirit of Onam 2020 for malayalis all over the world under trying times of pandemic nCovid and lockdown. Separated by lockdown but united by technology Shruthi and friends attempt to recreate Malarani Maasathil song.
This amateur video is completely shot and recorded indoors using mobile phone. These friends have not met since March 21 due to the lockdown restrictions till the date this video was made and published.
