Glad to see those parts noit making cans and a blower with more air flowing seems like a win/win situation to me. FINE job on the assembly, by the way!
I had said a long time ago I'd make a rebuild video, so that I did.:) Haven't found any other videos on the topic, so thought it could help people who want to rebuild them.:)
This brings back a specific memory of changing an exploded shim pack and blower on an 8V92TI powered yacht in Nassau Bahamas. I dropped the haysoos de crisco clip in the gear train and luckily it didn't go all the way down because I had a rag stuffed in there. That initial feeling is bad.
I am fairly sure that on the Achates ACE two stroke engine that Cummins make for the US-DoD the blower is a screw type. Not sure about its bypass arrangement. Thats a nice walk through of a blower rebuild.
It looks suspiciously like you installed the drive on opposite rotors between the N and T Blowers, is that because you are running you intake on opposite sides between the two?
The bypass blower T blower is from the same side as the turbo. The drive gears have to be changed for my engine.:) Then the N and T bypassed blower with be the same.:)
Excellent video, offered very good Clarity for the non believers about the fact its a blower not a supercharger!! 👍

Bonus... i was not expecting a blower breakdown video. Very helpful, thank you.

Yes, screw type is more efficient.
Would it hurt to surface that endplate on a mill ? Curious as i dont now the condition of my engine but i do have a flycutter on my mill
Yes a mill would be the answer.:) Make the end plates like new.:)
